    Hello :hello:

Went swimming this morning, did 30 lengths of 25m, totally surprised myself there :D Thought I would be dead after 3 :o

Squeaks stayed in their creche, I kept missing her even though it had only been an hour!

Ex mil rang me up being annoying, waking me from a much needed sofa sleep (toothy squeak being unsettled at night now) probably a good job though because otherwise I'd have missed my bus to get the older 3! Squeak apparently didn't sleep at the creche even though she was tired - she was quite happy with the nice lady carrying her around and insisted on it :rotfl:

KK my OH is quite good usually but I did have a big whinge at him the other night because I felt like I'd had no sleep in between Squeak waking and my vivid dreams, which really wasn't his fault at all :o maybe you just need to arrange to go out on your own/with your friends and just tell your OH, not ask lol.

 at Lazy oh's. My OH hardly does anything with E but is brilliant with the older 2. E is turning into a really mummys girl and cries when I leave the room so OH just tends to hand her back over to me. OH has only done 1 night feed with her but he would get up and do the early feed at weekends, meaning I could stay in bed until 9ish which was bliss. He used to do the majority of the housework in the week when I was at work as he was often home alone for 3-4 hours a day, but he now thinks he doesn't have to do anything as I'm at home all day :mad::mad:.

I think the problem with my OH is that he's not so much lazy, he just doesn't realise how hard work it is with 3 kids and how exhausted I am by the time he returns home at 7pm. He see's me as coping and doing it all so doesn't think I need any help.

KK- you need a break too, and personally if OH moaned about the state of the house I would tell him in no uncertain terms to get it cleaned himself! I would also be arranging a nice day out - leaving him holding the baby.

Welcome Elaine. I remember you from pg thread.

Sleeping through - I forgot to mention that my ds is still a moster at 7yrs and still wakes in the night  He is also a PITA at going to bed.

saw someone posted about sainsbury 1/3 off, have just compared prices for some things and boots have deals which make most nappies and pampers sensitive wipes cheaper if ive done my sums correct!

Hi Elainec plus other newbies and welcome...
Being a bit sad as I am, I regularly do a spreadsheet comparing prices of Pampers nappies and wipes so can update when infor is needed... I agree the packs of 6 Pampers wipes in Boots are the best deal at the mo...(waiting to see what Asda deals are) - Nappies it depends on the size and whether they are Active fit or Baby dry....

Kitkat, can we come over and kick your OH bum? It's one thing for you to be doing a bit of 'houseworky' stuff, but to do absolutely everything is just unfair and wrong. Plus, he won't be bonding with T as much either.

Bufger, it might be worth giving the surestart a quick ring about daddy sessions, as I think most of them are only monthly. I dare say you and E could think of something else to do, but it would be a pita to turn up if it wasn't on.

The ratbag is incredibly random in her sleeping, so sleeping through isn't happening here. She can go for ages waking once for a feed, then other nights it can be every 2 hours. It'll happen eventually.

  • Hello all we are doing well here. Kitkat my husband goes to work at 7.15 and gets home at 6pm we quickly have dinner and he then baths baby and does a story and I do last feed as breast feeding which takes an hr and husband then tidys up downstairs. But at times do get annoyed that I seem to do alot and did make the comment when I go back to work hope he realises he will have to do a bit more and he said he does appreicate all I do when he is at work. I have to do all feeding as baby wont take a bottle.

Baby is now 20wks old and he has been sleeping 8-7/7.30 for past 2wks before that was 8-5 from 13/14wks old then slowly got later in mornings, been in own room on floor below us for past 5wks which has helped with his sleeping, although he only naps for about an hr in day now.

highchair has come and is great east coast multi height just ordered a cushion insert for it though as he is a bit small for it , it has a 5 point safety harness though.

have a code for boots for £3 off pampers PCPN73 and can use with £5 off a £20 spend as long as total once any other discounts has come off is still £20, code for this week and next is PCB524.

Kitkat I could have written your post when I had either of my other two and the only thing I agreed with my OH on was that he didn't do night feeds, purely because he drives all day and I don't want him tired. However with our first he always got up for the first morning feed and then took DD for a walk so I had a lie in. 3rd time round and he actually really gets it and is so helpful. He is amasing and I wonder what I was missing out on the first time round but he is just older now and not an !!! anymore - he really did used to be an !!!. I hope your OH gets it a bit quicker though.

My OH has changed to work nights now I think to get out of night feeds lol. He sleeps in till about 10-11ish and normally manages to feed the baby once before going to work.

Hey everyone, again i haven't been around much so i dont imagine i will catch up :D

Its the fb group, i find it easier to be on there from my phone, the pregnancy thread takes so long to load i usually give up after i've posted there.

Lily slept through from 8 weeks with 1 feed during the night and then i cant remember when she stopped the bottles in the night, but she has her last one at 8pm and then sleeps from 8:30pm - 8:30/9am :D

    Hello and welcome Elaine :)

Kitkat - T slept through for 3 nights when we first weaned him then went back to his once a night wake between 3-5am. When he's poorly we sometimes get more but he's normally very predictable. I don't mind too much coz I feed him and he goes straight back down but sometimes I think I would love a full night's sleep.

This is how me and DH do things (sometimes I feel guilty coz I think I should do more!) I do every night feed coz I'm bfing and the rare occasion I have expressed for him to do it he doesn't hear T and I end up wideawake anyway! If he's in work I do anything through the night up to 7am. He gets up with T at 7-7.30ish, brings him down, does nappy and breakfast. I come down at 8am (I was having a lie in but am now getting up at 7.30 and getting dressed so I can be more productive!) and he gets ready for work.
He comes in at 6 and we all have tea together (he gives T his coz he eats quicker than me!) He baths T and I do feed. He washes the pots and wipes down kitchen every night. I try and keep on top of pots throughout day tho.
He's off at a weekend so we pick a day for a lie in each. I do any feeds but if it's his lie in day he'll do any (rare) nappy changes or settling. He'll spend a lot of time playing with T at the weekend so I can keep on top of cleaning and then I do the same if he has DIY to do. He'll often have his lunch with T and feed him at the weekend to give me a bit of break.

When does your OH think you get your 'me time'??? I think you should right down what you do all day so that he can see how busy/hectic/time consuming it is.
