I have the same body issues as you guys, plus OH keeps making stupid comments which he thinks are funny but really get me down :(

He did buy me some new jeans from ebay but even when I'm sat next to him he doesn't really pay any attention to my taste, or what I told him about the size I need.

He bought me some clothes just after I had Squeak, which I suppose was nice of him ,and nasty though it is to say they were frumpy fat woman clothes, like you'd expect to get in evans! I am a 16 maybe 18 with variations depending on where you shop, so not exactly huge since i'm 5ft7, and have lost a stone and a half in the last two years.

I am glad to say most of it was the wrong size. He just has no idea, though in the past (surprise surprise when I was slimmer) he didn't try to buy me granny trousers from sainsburys and godawful tent tops with huge flowers on :( It makes me feel really self conscious and ugly, like he must think I look like sh*t if he wants to dress me like Dawn French :(

Add to that his constant moaning about housework (even turning up at home in the middle of the day and saying 'oh you still haven't done anything' - to the point where I told him that when in the day I do things is up to me and if he's going to moan he shouldn't bother coming in) and he wonders where his love life has gone!

Seriously, he makes it pretty clear he thinks I'm a fat heifer, never says anything nice, checks up on me in the daytime and then thinks that will put me in the mood for a jump. Deluded or what!

I'm a fat heifer who sits on their !!!! and does nothing all day as well.

Been to Josh's football presentation this afternoon. It dragged on for nearly three hours. Then they realised they missed Josh off the presentation list so the manager hurriedly said "oh and here's one for Josh" as he couldn't remember his surname and gave him a trophy to have his photo taken with. He'll get his engraved one at a later date.

All the parents are in little cliques and I got totally ignored all afternoon, apart from at the end when someone asked me to put some money in a collection to buy the manager a present. I couldn't really say no and felt obliged to donate :o

    Pretty rubbish day :(
Here I go again on my own....

I'm glad my husband is nice to me whatever my weight is, he met me when i was probably my heaviest and fancied me then so that's a good thing!

After having our son- i felt unattractive, overweight and frumpy. But i was so tired with a newborn that i didn't do anything about it for a good 6 months. Then i decided to eat more healthily, walk more etc and treat myself to some new clothes as i lost a bit of baby weight.

I'm pregnant again now, and i'm at a feeling fat rather then pregnant stage (belly just looks podgy, no obvious bump yet). I was happy with my weight and had been fitting into nicer smaller jeans etc-now i'm having to put them away and get out the bigger things till i can properly fill out maternity clothes. I just can't wait to get a proper bump! :)

Elliot is now going through a stage of not wanting mommy as much (good thing i guess). He prefers other people over me (usually his dad, or my sister and my niece). Good in one way-i get a bit of time for me, but in other ways i feel sad because i miss him wanting hugs and so on! I make the most of our alone time, with plenty of hugs and playing together now-because when someone else is here he'll go to them. He's definetely ready for nursery and the big world out there, getting more independant and confident with people.

    keely.

To everyone feeling fat and frumpy: we all did something amazing - we grew beautiful babies and are now raising them to be happy and healthy little people. Those extra lumpy bumpy bits are just residual amazing-ness ;) There's so much pressure to lose the baby weight, especially when you see "celebrities" who ping back into shape in a matter of weeks. But they're probably completely messed up mentally because of the pressure they're under to look perfect and in a few years they'll look back and wish they'd spent this time having fun with their LOs instead of working out in the gym and obsessing over what they eat. I've never been slim, but I always had a reasonably flat stomach. Not anymore! I have the biggest muffin top you've ever seen  But I also have Joe :) and I'd never swap him for a flat stomach.

Delain, I wouldn't worry too much about what your OH "thinks" because, let's face it, men don't! Or not like us at least. He probably thinks he's being encouraging in his own way and doesn't realise he's actually being hurtful. If he doesn't like the way the house looks, why isn't he helping? You've got 4 kids to look after, which is more than a full time job in itself!

Giz, I don't have Just Dance, but after having a play at a Wine and Wii night at a friends house I definitely want it! It was loads of fun. Hard work though.

Well, we've not been doing terribly well with the BLW so far. Joe's appetite seems to have shot up since he was ill and he can't physically feed himself enough at the moment so I'm still having to shovel in the purees. I've tried a couple of times giving him finger foods to start with and then following up with puree to make sure he's had enough. Had a bit of an incident yesterday when he choked on a bit of baby corn and threw up everywhere. It was interesting though as he'd obviously eaten a lot more than I thought he had. And I was quite proud of myself for remaining calm :)

When I dropped Joe off with the CM this morning, he practically jumped out of my arms as he was so keen to get on the floor to play with the other kids. I didn't even get a backwards glance. I don't think I need to be concerned that he's not happy being away from me now that I'm back at work :rotfl:

Well done on keeping calm, its hard to do:)
You're Joe sounds like Lottie...she just can't get enough food atm, the kid is constantly eating!!! I make sure she gets what she needs through puree & bottle first(for my own peace of mind:o), then give her finger foods while we're having our dinner for a bit of peace, we've not had a choking fit at dinner time but she did look mighty surprised when she picked up a pea and it must've slipped down her throat before she realised:rotfl: Its working well for us so far, I've tried the finger food first but she tends to get frustrated as she can't eat it fast enough so the puree is staying for now! Wish I'd waited til 6 months and gone straight onto BLW to be honest but with her not gaining enough weight from around 18 weeks we went onto the purees...ah well, you live and learn;):) I'll know for next time:D

Not in shops... But Squeak has the winnie the pooh one that's £250 in mothercare, we got it for £90 with a matching wardrobe, wooden toy box, curtain pole, curtains bedding and matress with covers (though I know you're meant to buy a new one) from ebay :D

We're going to put it away though as OH doesn't think you can lower the base without making it into a bed, so we got another ebay cot (an ikea one, £3.50!) lol to put Squeak in until she can have a bed. We'll still need another one though. I must be mad what was I thinking :o We're going to have to get rid of most of our bedroom furniture and have all our stuff in boxes under the bed to fit two cts in my room :o

It did look good when you showed it to us before :D

There's a boom for that sort of thing on there at the moment, I got Squeak some gorgeous crochet blankets from there but they were quite expensive (which I understand because they take a long time and a lot of wool, I'd feel like a mugger if they were cheap lol) not realising the lovely lady across the road had made Squeak a huge one as a surprise for us :D I think that was the nicest thing anyone's ever done for us new baby wise :D

The big monsters had a staff training day today, they've been driving me nuts :rotfl: I did manage to hoover downstairs and sort out a huge basket of washing so I feel better for that, though my energy levels have dropped through the floor lately.

Squeak is having a sleep, her second today so she must have been tired, I think her sisters woke her up with their noise last time because she didn't sleep anywhere near as long as usual this morning.

How is Lily doing tinks? I love to hear about the things LO's are up to! That goes for everyone, more funny stories please :D I think we all need cheering up at the moment :o

Becles I hope you are having a better day today than yesterday. Bit rubbish missing Josh off the list :(

Sir M how is yours and Rach's bf peer thing going? I'm very interested in it as would like to give bf a go next time and you both might be saddled with me constantly tapping you both for advice lol :rotfl:

Keely I know what you mean about not looking PG yet just podgy. Well I am podgy anyway so I can hide it longer. Last time i think I was 16 or so weeks before my mum found out last time and that was because someone else told her at the twins birthday party ooops :rotfl:

Fuzz we've got the opposite, Squeak now really hates being fed with a spoon unless she can d it herself. And as she is only 9 months you can imagine the mess that makes :eek:

Bigbird, I love that, it's really positive :D It is hard to deal with when they are sick. ewww. It gets worse though when they get the sick bugs from school. It's bad in my house when that happens _pale_

:rotfl::rotfl:rather you then me:p She does guide the spoon into her mouth though, its as if she doesn't trust me.....maybe I should stop playing games with her food:o:D we have had one attempt at eating a carrot while I'm posting puree into her mouth......don't think that tasted too nice given her expression:D
I love all the new expressions shes doing lately...feels as though she's grown up massively in the last week or so, shes only 29(+4)wks:( I knew she wouldn't be a tiny baby for long but she's even trying to climb the furniture now:eek:...apparently the fact she can't stand unsupported or walk isn't an issue! is it normal for an almost 7 month old to want to throw herself off furniture??? Her dad gets proper stressed out when she does it...I just put cushions on the floor:o:o
