We have 5 bedrooms and Squeak will have to go in with the girls until at least 1 moves out! lol.. DD1 is at uni next year and is on about moving into a student house nearby.. that might be interesting! If the baby is a boy he would get DD1's room and Squeak would still be in with the girls.. I am NOT moving.. mainly because it pi$$es KH off that I am still in the house but also becaue I find it incredibly stressful and I don't see why I should rent for twice the price of the mortgage and have no security about how long we stay etc.
There is a lovely 4 bed up the road from me.. Delain? .. lol.. £600 a month and we have room for your 3 in the riot bus so could do school runs en masse! ... not quite Cornwall though
This baby is a nightmare she is eating every scrap of crap off the floor... I can't even see half of it she just appears with fluff or foil or plastic or a hair bobble in her mouth! My others never put stuff in their mouth.. what is wrong with this child!
Squeak eats everything she can reach. Which has unhappily coincided with someone giving the older children some moshi bands. They have now been told anything that ends up left on the floor goes in the bin.
Oooh we had our first spaghetti experience on Monday. We can take or leave the bolognaise bit but spaghtetti is all wriggly and nice and just so exciting that we have to wave it around with great joy and eat it after getting over all our fingers whilst making happy sounds... I think we will be having that again, never seen her enjoy any food that much before!
PP it gets more tempting every day, and the certain members of the northern branch if my family would be overjoyed :rotfl: not my dad though. I imagine me being hundreds of miles away is a convenient excuse for not visiting me and having to answer long overdue awkward questions
Would I be able to bring my furries? Oh I'm going to see our new kitten again on friday. Expect a huge thread stretching kitten and baby photoMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

The people who were recently evicted (people used VERY loosely) had a huge stinky half starved mut so I'm sure a moggy wouldn't be any bother.. it can play with my 6! .. though I think soon to be 5
One is looking a bit raggedy!
Mine hates spaghetti... in fact she doesn't appear keen on pasta at all.. unless tuna pasta and chopped up tiny and fed to her.. she hates feeling it. She likes meat.. bacon, chicken, beef, meatballs, sausage.. the lot..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

Charlotte has always loved spaghetti and noodles as she likes dangling them off the table and teasing the dogs with it
:rotfl:
Never had a problem with her eating as she eats anything. She made her own breakfast this morning and had a tortilla with ham and cheddar cheese in, some cherry tomatoes, a raw carrot and a glass of milk. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I decided before LO was born that we would go down the blw route. Ramming spoonfuls of mush into a baby's mouth seems repulsive to me and I can well understand why babies get negative connotations about food if that is how they start.
MV, we're going thru an equally cranky stage at the mo, apparently the 4 month growth spurt can go on for weeks as its a big mental development which completely rewrites their perceptions of the world - so very scary for them.
Wendz, at the beginning LO would only ever sleep on us, in the end we decided not to fight it and used the sling during the day and co-slept at night. I know it seems like indulging them, but you can't spoil them at this age.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
Hi all,
wendz i am so sorry you are going through such a tough time! William was awful for the first 6-8 weeks, wouldn't sleep unless co-sleeping, so OH and i took it in turns to sleep one in bed and the other of the sofabed in the living room. One of us with William, it was exhausting, but now he sleeps soooo well and is thrilled to be in his own room. He moved into his own room at about 10 weeks old and slept well from the word go. He is now sleeping for 12-13 hrs a night with 1-2 visits for a quick dummy check (more comfort to know we are there i think).
Sorry everyone else seems to have had a tough start to the week. I have been off work this week as my shoulder froze this weekend and i have had virtually no movement at all!! This was a shock, but the doctors think i may have arthritis in my shoulders and this is carrying on from my knees, so oh well treat it this time and try and find a way to strengthen the muscles to stop it happening again.
I am on very high doses of diclofenac and it is making me quite drowsy but at least William has been with his childminder for 3 days a week, so i have managed to completely rest (well sort of)
On another note, we are thinking about starting to try for our second in July/August kind of time, what do you all think about a trying for a second when the first is only 8-9months old? Thanks guys
I hope the second half of the week goes well for you all.Leopardlady

We've been on a mattress hunt today as well!! We have one that is half sprung (underneath) and half memory foam, and the springs are starting to come out of the bottom of the mattress
I found a silent night miracoil one online for £140, which is good for kingsize, so we wanted to go and have a look at some 'in the flesh' just to get an idea. Anyway we went to Dreams and the salesman was horrible!! we told him what we were looking for and he mentioned memory foam and we said we didn't want that as hate ours and also in laws had a (VERY expensive-£1400 ) memory foam one that ended up on the spare bed as they didn't get on with it. He then went on saying that it is better for you, and that a softer bed is better -despite us already telling him that we both find a firmer matress better for our backs as ours is quite soft and we get awful backache. He showed us a bed and I sat on it and could tell it was too soft and he was like but you haven't laid on it, so i did and i nearly sank to the floor :rotfl: and he just kept saying you've only laid on it for 2 seconds how can you tell?? and going on about how he wa trying to help us get the right bed for us-my reply?? 'i've been sleeping in a bed for 29 years-i think I can tell what bed is bet for me' he was so patronising that dh just said 'right, we're going now as you haven't been at all interested in showing us what we were looking for'........so we went to the bed shop right next door lol
anyway, sorry for my rant lol but i hate nothing more than salespeople jumping on you as soon as you enter a shop!
hope everyone else is having a good day-i'm looking forward to an early night-Max didn't settle till 2.45am and then he was awake at 5.30, although did go back to sleep after a feed, then i was up with the other 2 at 7, so i'm struggling to know which way i up at the minute lol xx0 -
MnM.. I'd have asked which was best for $hagging on and we intended to do lots of that and could we try a few out? lol...
I need to save about £700 before I look at replacing any but I will speak to the physio about which might be best for Moo before we buy one. The others are all getting firm ones too.. and I'll pop to the shop round the corner and ask what deal they can do me for 7 mattresses.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
We had a rubbish night's sleep last night too. LO went down as usual at 8pm and was up for a feed at 1.30am and 5.30am and up for the day at 7am. I had had a glass of wine and watched Desperate Housewives and didn't go to bed until midnight. Wasn't worth it, I'm knackered today. She got her second tooth today, so it might be something to do with that.0
