Hi EA! Hows the new addition?0
-
dusty - L hated the bath too when we used the baby bath but once we put him in the big bath in the bath seat (about 4-6 weeks, can't really remember, we hardly bathed him at all for the first few weeks as he hated it) he loved it. I'd say it's one of my top baby buys, it's one like this i think he felt safer in it. he's in the big bath with a mat now he can sit up better.
will reply to more later but need to do his tea, he's only had one nap of an hour today so i think an early bed would be good!
Cheers rach. I've got one very similar but he hates that too. I've tried him in it in the baby bath but no use. He isn't a fan of being naked it seems0 -
He's doing well, he's currently asleep on me
We have the heel pr!ck test tomorrow and a hearing test on Thursday. Haven't seen much of any health professionals this round.
I swear we saw lots of midwives when Lily was born.0 -
I was hoping my son would be ready to start potty training soon, but he won't even let me put pants on him at the moment. He likes looking at his new thomas the tank engine pants, and plays with his potty etc but if i take his nappy off-put the pants on he gets so upset with me! He holds his bits saying 'nnoooooooo!' to me and points to where the nappies are kept.
How old is he now? I forget
Does he see you go to the toilet? Let him come in and then get really excited - oooh look at me, I did a wee in the toilet, what a clever girl I am, etc. Then ask if he wants to be a clever boy too
None of mine have had BCG injections. I asked when Josh was about 11, and the doctor said nobody has them any more unless you are in a high risk area. I had mine when I was 10, and have a scar on my arm from it
Good to see you EA and congrats :j
Sorry to hear of everyone elses Monday blues. Hope everyone is chilled out and feeling better now.
Busy busy day with work, then I came in and had to take both boys to the doctors.
Josh has got ringworm, but the chemist had closed by the time we got out of the doctors, so I'll have to pop back tomorrow. James found a lump but they think it's just a harmless cyst and it'll go away again. We have to monitor it over the next couple of weeks and go back if it gets bigger or if the pain is still bad. He's also been complaining of chest pains again, so I've got numbers to ring to book an ECG and a chest x-ray. Annoyingly the ECG is in one hospital and the chest x-ray is in a different one. No idea why we can't have both at the same hospital on the same day, and even the doctor said it was a stupid system! Here I go again on my own....0 -
Dustystar sorry if this is of no help to you at all but my youngest son hated everything bath related and I think I quite literally bought every bath bath seat and support item on the market to no avail as he continued to scream himself sick every time that I tried to wash him. In the end though I found a bath called a washpod made by prince lionheart which was totally amazing and he loved it! They are not the cheapest thing on the market so may be worth checking if anybody you know has one that you can give a trial run. We think our little guy liked it so much as it is really supportive all round and he was held firmly in place while being fully submerged in the water.0

morning all
congrats EA x
Bob woke at 6am - fingers crossed the later bedtime is finally kicking in and it wasn't a one off.
crikey becles just one thing after another ay, hope its nothign serious with james and josh is better soon x
Re baths Bob loved his and was the only time he was not screaming but as soon as we got him out he would scream so loudly. I noticed his skin getting a little dry last night so I think I might have to stop bathing him everynight, not sure how I'll drag his evening out though but if the weather is nice I can walk him round and round the garden, he's normally too tired to play.0 -

He'll be 3 in septemberYeah he always comes to the loo with me, or his dad and sometimes my sister when shes here. I have been really positive about going, telling him what i'm doing and he likes to have a look then helps me flush lol then washes his hands with me.
I wish i had friends with slightly older kids who he could watch, as he seems to copy other children a lot (for example my sister's little girl had two friends over for lunch, elliot sat at the table with them and actually stayed there and ate all his food.he seemed proud of himself).
Elliot's friends are either at the same stage or slightly younger and haven't started potty training yet. He needs more encouragement i think.

morning all.
I had LO in bed with me the whole of last night as after 30 mins of trying to settle him after a feed at 11 I was so exhausted I was losing the will to live. He then slept fine although woke up about 4.30 for a feed and was then wide awake for ages, this seems to be an ongoing issue...eventually went back to sleep at 6 and woke about 7.45. It's almost like he has a wake time early morning and then another nap. This morning I put him down for a nap at 9.30 and he only went off at 10.30 after moving round the cot, chatting and eventually crying. He's still asleep now so our usually pattern is completely off. He has also only fed at about 6 and a tiny bit at 8ish. He's not taking in enough fluids i'm sure as his nappies are not very wet and the wee is really yellow.
I just feel like it's all so out of control at the moment.Once his cold has gone (he's so unbelieveably snotty at present) we are going to have to try and crack it. the problem is dh has no staying power and just wants the easy option so i end up having to do it all, as usual!
Sorry for moaning, I just don't understand why it's so bad as we do all the 'right things', regular naps, bedtime routine etc etc.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
He'll be 3 in september
He's still quite little and some take a little longer than others.
Charlotte had just turned three when we went on holiday last year. She was semi-trained and we had to remind her to go to the toilet often. She was in swim nappies in the pool as she was so involved with playing, she'd just forget to go! She was still in nappies for overnight and her afternoon nap. Here I go again on my own....0
