Where has Becles been the last day or two?
Do all babies get up at 6am or there abouts? I never get up that early and it's killing me! Chatting with DH until midnight, Lo needing fed at 3am and up for the day at 6am. I can't cope with this little sleep! I'm worried that I'm going to get eye wrinkles the way things are going!0 -
Squeak likes to get up that early. I like to bring her a bottle and put her in my bed, then when she drops off with it I put her in her cot and try to grab an extra hour or so. Of course it doesn't always happen, the other three tend to wake up at 6.30, though they have been told to either stay in bed or play nicely (we have a gate at the top of the stairs so they can't go down) and not whine at my door. Sometimes I still get
'muuuuuum they won't play with me'
'muuuuuum it's got to be time to get up now' (at 5.30!!)
'muuuuuum '*insert child's name*' just hit me'
'muuuuuum I'm so hungry am I ever going to get my breakfast?' (5.30 again)
'I think you just want me to starve and be unhappy' (5.30 again)
So it doesn't get much better as they get bigger.
At least Squeak wakes me up by smiling and chatting happily
DD1 is whining currently because she is banned from her DS (nintendo lol) until wednesday.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

DH and I talk about how much harder it will be when we have another. Our LO used to go to sleep at about 10pm have a feed at 7am and go back over until 10am. It was heaven. Then at 15/16 weeks she started to want to go to sleep at 8pm and feed at 2/3 am, then up for the day at 6am. I'm trying everything to adjust her routine to get her to go down for the night a bit later and sleep a bit longer without a feed. I've been giving her weetabix/ready brek for supper before her last BF, and trying to get her to have a nap around 5pm, but no success yet.0

I know I should know better! For those who haven't heard Squeak is getting a surprise brother or sister for Christmas :rotfl:
Goodness only knows where this one will go.
Awww bless I didn't know Daisy needed an inhaler! Poor thing
I've got the panda look going on toomade worse by the fact that I don't wear makeup, most mornings when we leave for school I'm reasonably sure I could be mistaken for a Zombie
My mum is on her way over with a talking Lau Lau for squeak and moshi monster stickers for the older onesMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

We've had maybe 5 bad nights in 9 months.. OH does the night shifts as he is so much better on no sleep than me I tend to kill.
She has porridge before bed with yoghurt rather than milk.. so it tastes nice tooShe goes 8pm- 7/9am..
She doesn't have a dummy either.. which is unfortunate when she wants to spend all day bawling it would be nice to shove something in
naps are 12-3... for anywhere between 1-3 hours.. naps after 3 are not permitted!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Congrats Delain! You are going to be busy.
DH can't do nights as I'm BF and I wouldn't expect him to anyway, as I'm off on maternity leave and he's working full time. When I go back to work full time in August all bets are off though! I think it will be a shock to the system for him as I don't expect him to do very much as I feel that the baby is my job while I'm off work. He is a brilliant husband and will do anything I ask him to do, but I don't think it's fair for him to come home from work and me hand him the baby and clock off.#
Oh and our LO only does cap naps during the day. I wait for her to be tired and put her in her cot to nap. I make sure it's quiet and she's comfy, but she only does 3 half hour naps a day.0 -
Where has Becles been the last day or two?
Been poorly
Was carrying on with Charlotte and she accidentally head butted my nose where it was still tender from my sinus op. Had some spectacular nose bleeds, including one where I was hanging over the bathroom sink with blood pouring out my nose and running down my throat and out my mouth  Was very close to calling an ambulance but managed to get it to stop with ice cubes as I hate hospitals.
It's still swollen and my nostril is full of clots which is uncomfortable. I feel generally run down and unwell too. Just taking it easy today and hopefully I'll be ok for work this week as I've got loads of jobs to do and I signed up for another uni course which started yesterday.
No idea on dummies as I can't stand them
My body clock is strange. I always wake up between 6-7am, regardless of what time I went to bed. Even on holiday, I'll wake and sit and read for a couple of hours before everyone else wakes up.
That's a shame about Daisy and her inhaler. Bairns seem to accept it better than we do though and just get on with it. Josh's friend has serious diabetes and it's strictly controlled. He brings his kit and does his blood sugar tests and injects himself without needing any help.
Congrats delain - that's lovely news :jHere I go again on my own....0 -

I'm bf too.. and I know Squeak isn't hungry she is just awake and screaming because she doesn't want to be.. so OH has her. When she was tiny he woud get her up, change her stink then spend half an hour trying to wake me to feed her then lift her back into the crib.
You are working full time too.. just because you don't go out of the house to do paid work it doesn't mean your job of looking after small people is any less significant.. think how terrible an accident could be if you were tired and accidentally fell while carrying the baby or fell asleep feeding and dropped her.. you are just as important and your sleep is also just as important as his!
