I'm ok Delain things still not good between me and DH, no chance for any surprise babies!! Plus we always snipping at each other, I think he thinks as I'm on mat leave I should do everything house related and gets annoyed whn house a mess but fails to do anything about it!! Thomas is lovely though, sitting up (not crawling yet) but main thing is sleeping well.

PP I love your attitude, wish I could be more strong like you!

I thought the purpose of maternity leave was so that you could look after the baby and any housework should be considered a bonus.

OH was very good when Squeak was tiny, but then I was quite ill at the time. He did drive me a bit mad actually buzzing about saying 'Oh look isn't it easier when you do it all as you go along' in a really patronizing way.

I have no intention of living in a show house and he is just too obsessive about tidying up. I just wanted to slap him a lot of the time actually being spoken to like a 3 year old with a hearing problem did my head in :o

Now he just rings up and tells me to tidy up, which I still find annoying.

I'll do it when I'm good and ready and he more speeches he makes the more stubborn I feel.

Doen't help at the moment I'm feeling really sick and washing up mucky plates and bowls is making me feel a bit icky :(

At least the sun is still shining.

Had a busy day today, went out with my friend for coffee and round town, so now I'm worn out and Squeak definitely got bored of being in her buggy and screamed most of the school run home, and I'd left her apple slices behind in the kitchen! She has cheered up now though and is rolling about the place quite happily.

LOL Delain sounds like my DH a lot of the time, moans about things but doesn't do it himself. The most annoying time was last week when I was out at my regular group (with t) for couple of hours and then popped into town to do some errands whilst he stays at home on the computer for about 3 to 4 hours and is a pigsty when I get back - he then has the cheek to have a go at me for the house being messy!! That's what I thought too Susan but it isn't helped by having a SIL who is like superwoman, looks after 3 kids under 4 (does pretty much everything child related) plus does all housework, think he thinks I should be like that!

Congrats delain!! I'm not the least bit jealous :p

Sorry for being out of touch again - I've missed this thread, but we've been at a wedding over the weekend (NOT the royal one). Becles, I hope your nose gets better, or you should see someone about it hon!

sirm, personally I'd tell OH to stuff it. Being a mother is a full-time job. I've been reading an excellent book called What Mothers Do (Especially When It Looks Like Nothing) that talks all about this - highly recommend it!

I WILL make myself workout after Finn goes to bed, I WILL do it, I WILL. Motivation is so hard!!

What a busy day! Nose is still a bit tender but I've not had any bleeds today. Had a splitting headache but think that's a combination of sore nose, tiredness (not sleeping well again) and monthly visitor is due :o

Just a thought about OH's and cleaning. What is your MIL's house and her cleaning routine like?

I'm sure my ex's mother has OCD or something. She has never worked and doesn't have a social life. All she does all day is clean, laundry and cooking. They have very old fashioned roles with "mens jobs" and "womens work" and his Dad will never do any "womans work" under any circumstances.

Every day MIL washes, dries and irons the previous days clothes. The whole house is hoovered and dusted every day, and the kitchen is hoovered and cleaned after every meal. The bathroom is cleaned twice a day. Nothing is ever out of place and dust never settles.

Ex expected me to keep house like that, but I don't want to live like that. I like my home to be reasonable tidy but to look lived in so people are not scared to move in case they make a mess. We clashed a lot as he didn't think my cleaning was up to scratch.

The other thing is that he couldn't recall his mother ever playing with him or doing things with him. I'd rather my children grew up with memories of me teaching them things, reading to them, playing with them etc, rather than remembering me as a manic cleaner.

That's how OH wants things. He can keep wanting, I think spending time with the children is much more important.

He's actually this morning gone in the kitchen and put the tea coffe etc jars all over the kitchen presumably to 'teach me a lesson' about how annoying things being 'in the wrong place' is. I'm igoring it completely. If he does it again I won't tidy, I'll just leave them where he put them.

Squeaks teeth have finally broken through, now she has 6 teeth and 2 almost teeth :rotfl:

The big monsters have been a right pain this morning.

DD1 called me a horrible ugly old hag because I didn't have any milk and I wouldn't let her eat dry cereal

Twin1 is still overtired from the weekend and has cried and whined all morning about anything and everything.

Twin2 Decided to hit her sister for no real reason and get into a really shouty whiny argument with her.

I'm not proud to admit it but I was relieved when we got to school.

Oh and the 18yr old 3 doors down was revving his stupid moped before 6 and woke the baby  this isn't the first time either, the other night he was revving it at 2am and woke Squeak then as well :(

He's a nice enough kid, apart from not having enough belts and forever crouching down and basically mooning when he works on his bike. I just don't think he realises how disturbing it is for everyone around him (the ginger hairy bum and the noise lol).

I did feel really pants but then I was naughty and had a hot sausage roll from the pasty shop in town before catching the bus home, now I feel considerably less sick and more happy :)
