Cookie jar shape here too. All toys with noise come under the worst too. Happyland Rocket does not currently have batteries in and I don't think it ever will.

Joe has been to his first Man U v Liverpool game today with his daddy. And he was one happy little boy when he got home.

My resolution to keep on top of the ironing seems to he going out if the window already. I so cba to do it tonight. But i have furminated the dog though and could make another dog from the hair removed.

Just watching the skate off on Dancing on Ice, then off to bed. Oh it is an exciting life i lead..........
  • I don't mind noisy toys, but maybe we have just avoided having any gratingly annoying ones. I think I'm just immune to them because Izzy is playing with them - if it was anyone else's child they would probably drive me up the wall ;) Richards family all got her noisy stuff (a tamborine and one of those daft toy microphones which they didn't give to her until boxing day, just before we went home. As far as we are concerned they are the best things she got :)

I don't mind most of the noisy toys, I got Miss M a music set for Christmas (not to mention Husband's bagpipes :rotfl:) but that cookie jar pees me off something shocking; it says something like "5 (something) cookies makes a yummy snack." And for us one cookie's a snack, unless she only gets half a one.

  • That is really naughty. 1 yummy cookie makes a yummy special treat. Not a snack. Some rasins and a cracker make a yummy snack :) But that doesn't scan so well.

I should have said something like that - for Miss M a banana and a little chunk of cheese make a yummy snack, sometimes a piece of toast or a cracker makes a yummy snack, yesterday breadchips and guacamole made a yummy snack ... a cookie is an occasional thing.

    cookie jar

I've just been through Miss M's socks and tights, she had an entire large bagful of outgrown stuff in there  Productive morning again so far, everyone fed and washed, the small one dressed (Husband was up half the night and is sleeping so I can't get to my clothes!), her clothes now all gone through and ready for storage... dishes away and new ones washed next, I think, and when she goes for her nap I'm going after the bathroom cabinet.

On the topic of toys I find some of Ts most favorite play things to be very random and cheap. At the weekend we went to wilkinsons so buy her a new wooden spoon as the dog ate her last one, while there we found the christmas beads had been reduced to 25p so she now has her own set and loves pulling them around after her. Other favourite playthings include empty tissue box, wipe packs and anything that can be bashed with her spoon. And then theres the dogs water! She does love her toys too but is happy to play with what ever is to hand.

snacks here are usually blueberry rice cake or organix carrot wotsit type thingies or fruit.

SS - sounds like a productive morning so far.

Aless - lol at cookie jar rage!

must go pack mine and Ts swim bag before she wants her morning feed and nap, catch you all laters.

    Hello :hello:

Well I've arranged a meeting with the local school *sigh* for those who don't know, my older 3 girls go to 'out of catchment' schools, because of were we lived when DD1 started school, and because the infant school are fantastic, I've since found the juniors less good, apart from one exceptional teacher in year 3, and the SEN leader (who used to teach me and my brother )

At the moment I'm forever on the bus, and I'm ashamed to admit I've started to think how much easier it would be if they went to the closer school as it's 5 minute walk in a quiet residential area.

The twins go up to juniors in September and I'm worried they won't get into the school DD1 is at and they'll all have to go to the village school.

So have asked the village school for a meeting to discuss how they would deal with my twins as they have issues. Might see if I can get someone from the infant school to come with me, I know the head of the infants has had a lot of involvement with them and is involved with the village school to so maybe she can put a word in.

Squeak is still being rolly :D I've put her on the floor with her big blanket basically surrounded by toys and she rolled from her front to her back as well trying to get to the toys :D

    morning all x

I had 2 of those cookie jars when lucy and shaun were little so one stayed at my mums. I didn't mind it and thankfully the kids never picked up on the fact they should be having 5 yummy cookies for a snack lol I can still hear the tune now though - shapes are in my cookie jar, triangle heart star lol Glad that one is gone. Lucy had the light and sound drum which was great, its tunes were not too loud or high pitched and she would sit and play it for hours, unfortunatley its also gone. I feel bob is not gonna have quite so many toys. Worst toy ever a plastic recorder - I think they were allowed to play with it for all of 5 minutes before we hid it to chuck in the bin later, it was 10 times worse than the blowy things they get in party bags.
