Morning
Drop in when you can RSA. My work levels vary greatly as I'm self employed. Sometimes I hardly post as I'm too busy with work, but I'm on more when work is quiet. It doesn't matter if you can't read and respond to every single post.
Off to work this morning with an audit to do, then plenty of housework and laundry to keep me busy.
Had about an inch of snow overnight, so the dogs are running round the garden like idiots :rotfl: The neighbour always has a lovely crisp snowy lawn and ours looks like a ploughed field!
Have a good day everyone xxHere I go again on my own....0 -
Morning all. Henry had a lie in until 8am which was very welcome and now we are lounging around in our pyjamas. It's funny because I never lounged around in pyjamas before I had Henry but now I really enjoy our lazy mornings.
Was your work do loads of fun Ladybird? Ours is next Sunday night but it won't be a big one as I'm working Monday morning.
A bit jealous of your snow Becles. I'd like a couple of inches so H could play in it, but definitely don't want deep snow again.
I agree with everyone else Redstar that it is fine to dip in and out as and when you have time. I hope you're finding it okay being back at work.
Not much planned today. I really need to do some eBay listings so better start on the photos for that. We're off to my grandparents this afternoon but that's about all we've got planned.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
GISI it was great fun. We were all expecting it to be a bit rubbish, but we were all wrong. It was an afternoon/early evening thing - meal, drinks, a team building game which turned out to be really fun, and a disco. I was saying before we went there is no way I'll be dancing at 5pm, but I was wrong. I was doing the conga and everything. Then when the official bit finished we went to the pub, and I ended up getting the second to last train home. I'm glad I didn't leave it till the last train - I ended up jumping into the train as the doors closed, sliding doors style as it was - if I'd done that on the last one and missed it I would have been really stuck!

I miss work do's. As a SAHM these days I don't get to do the work xmas lunch etc and feel left out
.
My Oh doesn't ususally go though as my old work paid for ours but his isn't free and usually costs around £20.00 just for the food!
Ladybird your list has made me tired I need a lie down now.
Pretty tired these days as I am getting insomniac tendancies again....must start going to bed earlier.
Hope everyone is having a fun weekend. I have spent this wknd and the last week on MSE finding bargains and have spent loads but am hoping that next xmas will now be as cheap as this one (it was a present box xmas for all but ds1 who got a ludicriously expensive ipod touch but as I only have him every other yr I thought it would be nice to make this yr special - next yr he gets a cheapo picked up over the yr bargain !:A)MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
Morning all! Had a really long lie-in this morning, which was so nice. I'm so appreciative of my DH - people moan about their OHs a lot on here so I thought I'd make a positive post and say how thankful I am that he gets up in the mornings with our early-riser baby.
I think I would be a lot more of a grump in general if he didn't do this. :A
Not sure what's planned for today other than the usual housework (mostly what I didn't finish yesterday). The weather looks pretty nice, so maybe we'll go to the park for a little while this afternoon or something

tsstss - I don't promise I will get it all done. My lists are always unreaslitic. I've got one good insurance quote so far, but need to get a few more, and I've washed up! And we're not all in pjs any more either. I don't think that is too bad going!

Morning all
I had a lovely lie in as well, I said I'd get up but in the event it was taking me so long to stop being mostly asleep that Husband took Wee Beastie and didn't disturb me until her indignant shrieking woke me at almost 11am
Have a very long list of stuff to do today following on from my Very Long List from yesterday but since they've decided to take a late morning nap (think I must smell) I'm going to crack on with at least two of my tasks and perhaps ignore all the rest in favour of meeting some friends this afternoon. They're going to an expats' meetup where there's a person attending who's recently advertised as a babysitter and I'd like to take Miss M and meet her.
Right then. First thing, finish the chapter of my book, then go through Miss M's drawers and remove the things that are too small.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Morning
I seem to have developed insomnia! I can't seem to fall asleep until about 2-3am then am just restless all night anyway, it is driving me mad as I am sooooo tired it is untrue.
K has been having full on trantrums yesterday and today Grrrrr. T is off her colief drops now, I stopped them about 2wks ago and she has been absolutely fine, so that is good news.
I just want to say how great my older two are at the moment. I am loving spending time with them and they are both so helpful and kind, especially L, he is sooo good with the littlies. Since the christmas school holidays we have been spending a lot of time together, playing board games or out the front helping them to improve their bike riding skills and watching films. Usually I hate the school holidays and can't wait for school to re-open, this time I was gutted when school re-opened!!!
Just wanted to share xxUnless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
That's good news about T, Mel, and your older two sound lovely
I wouldn't worry too much about the tantrums, as I'm sure you know they're just a phase. And the big two are showing you what you have to look forward to with K
Miss M actually lay on the floor of the supermarket and screeched yesterday  I bundled her under my arm and pretended she was just a noisy handbag.Thinking carefully about it, I prefer my handbags to be silent.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

It's nice when the older ones behave isn't it lol. Doesn't happen much in this house.
OH has taken DD1 and Squeak to Sainsbury's because the twins asked if we could have a BBQ today. Strange creatures
SS I love the noisy handbag :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
