Meant to add two Charlotte-ism's to my last post.

I was doing her hair this afternoon and she said:
"don't ever die mind Mam, cos me Dad is rubbish at doing me hair" :rotfl:

Then later on she told me a new girl has started at school and her name is Geoffrey Bananas :rotfl:
Here I go again on my own....

I've had money issues today - sorted now :)

However, it did make me concentrate on my shopping, with a bit of mental menu plan adjustment and leaving off certain like to haves I managed to refill my cupboards for £50 from Aldi (53 items including 1.5kg of chicken drumsticks and a 1kg of mince) I need to do some batch cooking to fill the freezer, my slow cooker is going to be throughly abused this week. :)

Had a super busy day today, swimming this morning - Katies learning proper swimming breathing! Financial issues to sort, food shopping, a birthday party for Katie (I stayed) along with prepping and cooking a HM pizza for my mum as she has friends visiting tonight. DH delivered it I needed a sit down.

Need to go and hunt out food had some nibbles at the party but not much.
Proud to be dealing with my debts

  • Hi everyone. Hope all littlies and mummies (and daddies) are ok?
Been back at work since Tuesday :(
Think I had better say goodbye as I can't even pretend to keep up with here or facebook :(. All I seem able to do is just barely get by, work 8.30 - 5, pick up kids, feed family, put kids to bed, make bottles up for next day and collapse, then bed. I'll try and check-in now and again, but I really don't think I'm going to be able to get on much now.
I'm going to post this on fb too, so apologies for the repetition.
Thank-you all for being lovely and so helpful and supportive, you've really helped me to keep going, so I will try and lurk when I can.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Oo I've just ordered the wallpaper for DD1's room. She has the smallest room (6ftx7ft) and she chose the paper and border herself when we were looking on the net wen it was £10 a roll a couple of weeks ago, thought better do it today as have the money to do it and it had been reduced twice since we first saw it, to £6.95 a roll :D:D

On another yay note, Squeak and I had lots of lovely play on the floor (OH was out helping my friend collect a motorbike - 80 odd miles away bless him!) Daddy usually likes to cuddle her to sleep so I thought bedtime would be epic but we just had a cuddle upstairs, a nappy change, she did lots of smiles at me and went to sleep about 2 minutes after I left, no moaning at all :D:D

  • Morning all. Izzy slept on the floor again last night. She was making a real fuss about going to bed, and after about 45 mins I asked if she wanted to sleep on the floor. She got out of bed, lay on the floor and was asleep in about 2 mins. Strange child. Maybe I shouldn't have bothered buying her a cot!

I am feeling a bit more human today - had my work christmas do on Friday, and was very careful to pace myself, so I wasn't actually hungover yesterday, but I was very tired. DH did let me have a lie in luckily (I should blimmin well hope so too, seeing as it was about my 8th night out since Izzy has been born, and my second where we've not been out as a couple... he goes out without us at least once or twice a week!), or it would have been a lot worse. Now today I have to be extra productive to make up for getting only the essentials done yesterday. I have tomorrow off work for a job interview, so I can get some extra bits done then, but I've decided I want to devote the non-job interviewing bit of my day to putting our wedding photos in an album. We only got married in 2007 :o

    So today I need to:

get some more car insurance quotes
tidy Izzy's room (including sorting through her clothes and sorting out the big pile of too-small clothes on top of her cupboard - I need to sort them into sizes and label the bags, ready to go into my parents loft)
make some cakes (this is the most inportant thing)

plus the standard washing up/making sure the living room floor is clear at the end of the day/sorting washing out/making sure no-one goes hungry type tasks.

And if I get that far there are lots of other things that could do with some attention too.
