I miss work do's. As a SAHM these days I don't get to do the work xmas lunch etc and feel left out
.
I work but I don't get a works do as I'm self employed.
Sorry to hear people have insomnia. I get that and it's a killer. Hope you manage to get some sleep soon xx
Pleased the older ones are being good Mel. It's the opposite here. James is being extremely horrid and Charlotte is being an angel!
I feel like packing James off to live with his Dad to be honestHere I go again on my own....0 -
It was quite nice being able to go to the works do - I'd not been to the last 2. Last year I needed to say a long time in advance if I was going, and I wasn't sure if I was going to be happy to leave Izzy. The year before I was FAR too pregnant to think it would be a good idea.

So does anyone have any toys from Christmas that they absolutely HATE but can't take away because LO actually loves it? Let's name our worst toys!
The one I hate is this "cookie jar" shape sorter. It makes no sense as the shapes don't look like cookies at all and have nothing to do with cookies! It also sings this annoying song implying that eating 5 cookies is somehow a normal portion. And it has a creepy face. I hate creepy faces. Finn loves it, because he likes to take things in & out of containers right now.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

K threw a proper paddy yesterday morning when he was having his breakfast. couldnt figure out why at first. he even lay on the ground screaming. Turns out he wanted the same bowl as me for his porridge. one happy boy. just have to watch him for flinging it off the highchair now.
he was very good in church as well, think he is realising everyone is quiet so he has to be too. was funny though as he was 'singing' when everyone esle was holding the service sheet as if he was reading the words'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0 -
Today we've been to Church, been enlisted to take over running the Sunday School next week, stayed to watch 2 of Katie's friends being baptised.
Walked home from Church.
We were meant to go swimming but there wasn't an updated timetable on their website and don't answer the phone, from what I could gather from the old timetables was that it public swimming finished at 4pm which would have been our time of arrival after eating and gathering all the stuff together.
We're having spaghetti bolognese for tea tonight, I've done the sauce in the slow cooker so that I can freeze a good chunk of it for another time.Proud to be dealing with my debts

We have that and I loathe it. 5 cookies is certainly not a yummy snack! In my next round of decluttering baby toys I'm going to disappear it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

You have the evil thing too?! I'm hoping he stops being interested in it in a few weeks so it can magically "disappear" one day...:whistle:top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

TBH I haven't really got a worst toy that any of the kids received. However, K hates the quad bike that FIL got him, he completely freaks out when we try and put him on it. His absolute favourite toy is his Handy Manny singing toolbox, followed very closely by the elc whizz around garage. All of T's toys are fine too, my fave is the baby annabell doll;)
You have reminded me that his rocket shape sorter needs new batteries in it AGAIN, It was his fave toy for most of last year and he played with it ALL the time!!
Oh actually, thinking about it, I do get annoyed with all the flaming teddies, there must be at least 20 teddies down here, including a tigger and an eeyore that are bigger than T!!!Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -

My Mam bought that for my niece. After watching her play with it for an afternoon, I was quite pleased she hadn't bought Charlotte one
Charlotte got a play mat which is more for a younger child. She had it out once and got bored with it quickly. The same people also bought her some of those cardboard dolls and clothes where you have to poke tabs through the slot on the doll to change her outfit. They're too fiddly for her to manage and I think she's a bit young for them, so they've only been played with once. Everything else has been well played with. Here I go again on my own....0 -
We have the cookie shape sorter too but it doesn't bother me. I would have liked more wooden and less noisy plastic toys (especially ones that don't have off buttons!) for Xmas though. The L & G activity station has now gone so we have a bit more space, can't believe it sold so quickly and for more than I paid for it, so after fees I am £8 in profit
thinking about saving the money and getting T a trampoline to keep at nana's when she is bigger.
Starting a 5 week course of swimming lessons with Tahlie tomorrow, never been swimming with her on my own and have visions of her escaping under the changing room while I'm trying to get dressed!
Aless/mel - yes we are officialy back on the ttc bandwagon. As it took so long for T to come along we would rather have them close together if we were lucky enough for it to happen, maybe crazy though lol.
Been busy today done a pile of ironing, tidied the bedroom and changed the washers on the bathroom taps amongst other things. OH has just done dinner and now it's time to get missy ready for bed before she strops!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2
