Hi all, sorry but thought you guys might be interested in this...
My wife and i recently purchased the Magnetic Play Centre from Early Learning Centre. However, if you buy the pink one it sometimes doesn't come with the paper storage tube, whereas if you buy the blue one it does !? It appears that they have manufactured the pink one with this part missing and not shown on the box, but it is pictured on their website. Basically, if you want the tube, you need to buy the blue one (it stops them hiding the magnets in the part the tube would go in and lets them store the paper rolled up), as the current batch of pink ones don't come with it included.
Hope this helps someone, bye.Money can't buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy - Spike Milligan.0 -

I work but I don't get a works do as I'm self employed.
Sorry to hear people have insomnia. I get that and it's a killer. Hope you manage to get some sleep soon xx
Pleased the older ones are being good Mel. It's the opposite here. James is being extremely horrid and Charlotte is being an angel!
I feel like packing James off to live with his Dad to be honest
Sorry to hear James is being a pain. My eldest is about the same age and I have to say about a year ago he was absolutely awful and was talking about going to live with his dad . In fact some of the times I would have cheerfully packed his bags for him.
I think now it must have been a hormonal surge cause he is now taller than me and has a deep voice lol. but its defo tough times dealing with a teen. He is much better now thankfully although we've still got a long way to go on the helping around the house/ at all issue! So does anyone have any toys from Christmas that they absolutely HATE but can't take away because LO actually loves it? Let's name our worst toys!
The one I hate is this "cookie jar" shape sorter. It makes no sense as the shapes don't look like cookies at all and have nothing to do with cookies! It also sings this annoying song implying that eating 5 cookies is somehow a normal portion. And it has a creepy face. I hate creepy faces. Finn loves it, because he likes to take things in & out of containers right now.
This year wasn't so bad but last yr my brother got A an electronic guitar toy that didn't have an off switch. It went off in the middle of the night once when I just brushed the toy box and actually got consigned to the bin two minutes later (I had, had a rough day that day and my patience had worn out). I fished it out the next day though and removed the batteries.....I am planning to give it to his new daughter in about a year as revenge. wha ha ha ha <<evil laugh>>:rotfl:redmel1621 wrote: »TBH I haven't really got a worst toy that any of the kids received. However, K hates the quad bike that FIL got him, he completely freaks out when we try and put him on it. His absolute favourite toy is his Handy Manny singing toolbox, followed very closely by the elc whizz around garage. All of T's toys are fine too, my fave is the baby annabell doll;)
You have reminded me that his rocket shape sorter needs new batteries in it AGAIN, It was his fave toy for most of last year and he played with it ALL the time!!
Oh actually, thinking about it, I do get annoyed with all the flaming teddies, there must be at least 20 teddies down here, including a tigger and an eeyore that are bigger than T!!!
Ditto on the teddies here...I actually periodically spend half an hour trying to work out if I can get away with chucking out the big teddies my mum has bought for both my sons without her noticing! (She remembers!!) I actually bought ds2 a big tigger toy last yr and am now wishing I hadn't but can't bring myself to chuck it!
OH bought A a quad when he was 18 mths old which he only started to ride last yr (at 2 1/2) despite oh trying to make him like it regularly for the last year. It used to make me laugh so much as OH is a biker and I'm sure this was step one of his propoganda campaign and naturally I on the "he will never ride a bike EVER" fence so was very happy he isn't a daredevil.MSE PARENT CLUB MEMBER.ds1 nov 1997ds2 nov 2007:jFirst DDFirst DD born in june:beer:.0 -
I had a giant Bugs Bunny toy, it was taller than me. My mother gave it to my school jumble sale every year and every year I bought it back. I didn't like it much but I didn't like that she felt it was ok to keep getting rid of it after I asked her not to.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

redmel1621 wrote: »Yay for no colic drops for your T too... I have found my T brings up her wind so easily now, since her stomach/back muscles have strengthened. She can now sit up unaided (does still topple on occasion)
Is T small then, I can't believe he is still in 0-3mths!!
Well done T on sitting up! Theo is trying to, he will sit for a few minutes but overcorrects himself and either flies forward or back! It was weird with the colic, it's like it finished without me noticing although it had been such an issue previously!
He isn't very small at all, but he is very long and seems to have gone slim like his dad, think his weight is about perfect for his build though. Jackets in 0-3 still swamp him though! I'm sure by next week he will shock me and outgrown them! Maybe his clothes are just big?!
Went for a nice walk in the rain today, T seemed to enjoy the fresh air and so did I!0 -
So have asked the village school for a meeting to discuss how they would deal with my twins as they have issues. Might see if I can get someone from the infant school to come with me, I know the head of the infants has had a lot of involvement with them and is involved with the village school to so maybe she can put a word in.
Hope the meeting goes well delain xx Might be useful to jot down a list of things you want to say and questions you want to ask. I did that when I was having meetings about James, as I kept forgetting what I was going to say/ask!
Yay for rolling :jgetting all the help put into place is a nightmare and i am having problems with Charlie's new nursery as they seem to think he will be a 'piece of cake' their exact words! my meeting is tomorrow so we will wait and see how it goes
Ditto list advice! Hope it goes well xx
Sorry to hear the houses were crap Smartie. I know how disappointing it is. Looked round a few rubbish houses before I bought this one. One was absolutely filthy inside and the lady took a casserole out of the oven and I noticed it was all burnt on and minging inside. She proudly said "and we'll be leaving the cooker......." and I was thinking "there's no way I'm cooking in that!"Sorry to hear James is being a pain. Thanks for that. Josh went through it but he wasn't as bad as James. At the moment everything I say or do is wrong and he strops off in a huff at the slightest thing.
Been through tough problems with him with school and stuff, and he's had a hell of a lot more attention from me than the other two. It really really hurts when he says I don't care about him, considering all I've done for himHere I go again on my own....0 -
thanks mentat are you not coming to join us we are a very nosey bunch and dont bite (well some do lol!)
Beccles i will be writing a list later tonight, i tried a quick phonecall to his nurse but she was already awayi will try to get her tomorrow before the meeting starts.
Manged to see Jimmy although he wasnt pleased as he though we were taking him for a lesson and then left him, managed an hours riding although a few weeks off and the cold has left me all stiff and jelly legs. Charlie and Abi are sleeping already and Erin is running around with a party blower, she cannot blow hard enough so makes the noise herself PMSL. Older 2 are away to the young carers group and should be home at 8.45, oh how i wish i had as good a social lifeWhat's for you won't go past you0 -

Feel a bit blergh too so just had a long soak in a hot bubble bath with a trashy novel. Me time resolution still going strongHere I go again on my own....0 -
Beccles in a funny sort of way you have reminded me to get some balloons out of the cupboard. Izzy wanted to play with one yesterday, but I don't have the puff to blow them up, so I need to get DH or my Dad to do some for her tomorrow
