sainsburys do too up to 6 months!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Morning everyone.
It's soooo hot todayAlmost too hot - not that I'm complaining, but want to get started on the lawn and I think it's going to be knackering in this heat.
Thanks for all the hugs. I can't talk about Twiggy to anyone as I just break down. I want to get rid of her house (she had a play house and run attached as her home). I was going to move Gizmo in there as it's bigger than his hutch/run. But he's happy in his home and it doesn't feel right putting him in Twiggy's home. The killer is Twiggys house is visible from just about anywhere from the living room and kitchen so it's a constant reminder. I'd like to take it down asap but I don't know if DH will think I'm being a bit insensitive wanting to get rid of it so soon.
Stupid question alert - what should I be dressing DD in now? It was 21 degrees yesterday and I'm sure she was hot in her sleepsuit. Should she wearing short sleeved vests outside? And what sort of precautions do I need to be taking when she's outside? Is a normal umbrella (sun umbrella) OK?Baby Giz born 6/2/110 -
Rach/Sir M do you want to PM me the *$ you frequent and we can arrange a date with MV too.
Good to know the baby suncream isn’t having any adverse reactions with your babies. Might have to start using it on myself. God knows what they put in the adult ones, but they always seem to have the capacity to melt my nail varnish.
SammyG we’re waiting in today for a courier which hopefully is LO’s passport, but we went ahead and booked our flights anyway. It’s all new stuff flying with a baby – I need to phone the airline about carrycots and also if I can take our car seat with us.
So many more bits to buy now the sun is out, we’ve abandoned the sleepsuits and wearing vests with trousers. But she’ll need more for her holiday wardrobe. We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -

If it helps having it moved out of the way, I would moved it regardless of what DH might think. It's what works best for you.
When Jess (childhood dog) was put to sleep, my Dad was at work and my Mam rang him to say she'd gone. (She'd been poorly so it was expected). Dad asked if my Mam could move the bowls and her bed, and put them out of sight as he knew he'd just break down if he walked in and saw them.
Nose still drippy here and it's driving me crackers now! Desperate to breathe properly again nowHere I go again on my own....0 -
Erin is such a hot baby, she slept in just her nappy last night, I sent her to nursery with vest, leggings and a nice strappy dress over the top. I think I'm getting to the point now where I might stop putting her in vests soon but they do seem to help hold the nappy in place. I usually try to make sure shoulders are covered so dress with short sleeves or vest. Last year, as I had Erin in the sling and not in a pram, I actually walked around with my rain umbrella a lot of the time lol, got some right funny looks but it worked.

I wonder if it's a winter baby thing as Henry is exactly the same. He hates being warmly dressed! I am also contemplating stopping vests, but I like the fact it means he can't get his nappy off......:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
we stopped the vests about 2 weeks ago. thought as we want to start toilet training over the summer i would get him used to not having the vest there. its going good apart from if he has a very wet nappy and it hangs down pulling his pyjama bottoms down lol!! but otherwise is fine. thaankfully he hasnt tried to take his nappy off yet----apparently its a sign they are ready for training'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

My Mam is obsessed with vests. I said to Charlotte that she didn't need to put a vest on this morning and she said "don't tell Granny mind, or she'll be cross" :rotfl:
Managed to get out and do a bit work in the garden this morning, but I'm absolutely shattered nowHere I go again on my own....0 -
Today DD is wearing a t-shirt, skirt and socks, no vest no tights for the first time this year, another bonus is that her skin gets very cold after swimming, not an issue todayProud to be dealing with my debts
