    Morning ladies :)

Giz - I am not BF'ing now :( I gave it a good shot, but it all got too much when DD was frustrated and upset and I was frustrated and upset. Because she lost so much weight I can never be confident that she would get enough from me, and the last thing in the world I want to do is starve my daughter :( So we are primarily formula feeding and topping up with expressed breast milk when I can. Although she seems to vomit her feed up more when she's started off with EBM

MV - Yikes for the cleaner damage. As long as you can get a good few weeks cleaning out of them for no charge then that is good. I would love a cleaner but don't think DH would let me :( I try and fit in some cleaning whilst DD has her lunchtime nap - its working quite well at the mo!

Mother and baby groups - what groups do you go to, how did you find out about them, and what age did you start going? I get out of the house every day to walk the dog and baby, but am itching for some social interaction of another kind. It does suck when most people you know are at work and you're not!

Also, passport photos. How the heck do you get these done for babies? I need to get a passport sorted but don't know what to do about the photos. Any ideas?

I have to say I think it would be very rare that you wouldn't have enough milk to feed your LO, mainly medical reasons, did the HV say why you might be having problems? Good on you for keeping up with the expressing, I found expressing a real chore but if you can keep it up for a while it must surely benefit LO.

As soon as you join one group you will still start hearing about other groups and soon find your favourites. I advise going to as many as you can and finding out what the best ones are. I didn't start going to groups until Erin was 3 months but that was over christmas and people seemed to be hibernating, the groups got much busier once it was spring. Your HV should be able to tell you about groups or you can look on your council website or library website or you can join a group like buggy fit or other more structured groups - I looked online for this and also popped my head in local churches to see what was on their notice boards.

I've been outside for the first time in a week!

I had some stuff to post, so I gently walked along to the Post Office which is about 10 minutes away. It's really tired me out and I found it such a struggle. It's shocked me as two days before the op, I jogged about half a mile without stopping and was chuffed with myself, and now I'm like an old lady shuffling along :o

You choose a good day to go out :) And just think, if you hadn't been so fit before you probably would have struggled even more.

Hi Jennynoo, I am ok, still have the tummy problem, so struggling quite a lot. Hoping to eat something today as Sunday seems a long time ago.

Really good news is the William has not shown any real signs of catching the bug, so it is just OH and me, and OH does not seem to be struggling as much as me, so that is good and he is home this afternoon until Monday on leave, so that helps a lot.

Well Becles, it will be hard for the first few trips, but you will bounce back to your previous fitness in no time :)

I also find expressing a chore...mainly the steralising part and getting the bottle ready etc. It's so much easier just getting your boob out - but I'm incredibly lazy.

But yeah, good for you Sammy for expressing.

    @Becles - hope you're on the mend.

I had my mum and baby group and we swapped contact details and 2 of the girls live minutes away from me. I'm hoping maybe I might have the guts to invite them for a cuppa...everyone at the group is really nice.

Anyone done the Tax Credit calculator yet? :( We're entitled to nothing based on last years earnings. But would be entitled to about £10 a week based on 2011/12 earnings. So do I tell them that because it seems silly to get £10 a week when I'm back at work and won't need it!

I just read somewhere else that the Tax Credit calculator has thrown a wobbly and nobody is entitled to anything!

Also the self assessment website was down earlier this afternoon.

I'm on the mend thanks. I managed to do a bit of ironing this afternoon as well - go me :D

That is exactly why I breastfeed.. I am a lazy cow!

I am hopefuly looking forward to tandem feeding again in about 5 months time ! Squeak is stil having 3-5 feeds a day so hopefully that will be enough to keep it flowing.

    Morning everyone.

I'm sat here balling my eyes out. I just can't stop crying. We had to make a decision last night to put our rabbit to sleep. It's the hardest thing I've ever done. I feel so guilty because I haven't been able to give her the attention she needed in her last few months of life because of DD needing me. Usually when she's ill I would spend hours upon hours stroking her, but I just haven't been able to do that and I know it's stupid but I feel like I've let her down.

I was always going to get another rabbit to bond with Gizmo (our other rabbit who never bonded with Twiggy). But I just can't go through this devastation of losing pets. It's just awful. I don't think I'm going to have anymore animals - at least not until DD begs us for one and I cave.

I have this terrible sense of guilt though. I feel the need now to go to Pets and Home today and buy some treats for Gizmo and to spoil the hell out of him :o I should have done it for Twiggy and now it's too late.

For those of you who think I am silly, losing a rabbit is just as devastating as losing a dog (I know, I've had a dog also).

Sorry for bringing the thread down. It helps to get it all out though.

morning giz, sorry about your rabbit, of course you're sad you loved her, it is not your fault though so stop feeling guilty, your baby needed you more. Glad the baby group went well though x

Right we are off to visit my Dad in scilly for a week, fingers crossed the weather stays this beautiful. Hope everyone has a good week and recovers from ops and illnesses quickly. Speak to you all when we are back - I must go pack and get an early night x

Giz sorry to hear about your rabbit.

    Merfe Have a lovely time.

I was just about to go out 20 mins ago and realised I had no bottles made up arghhhhh!

I did the tax credits thing yesterday and liked the results (but I'm not hopefully that it was correct!).
