Will ring up dentist and ask on Monday, prob just take him with me when I next go in a few months.

Giz re p and c spaces what you will find is a lot of people without young children will park in them, particularly people with nice cars as people can't park up too close to scratch their porsche!! The local tesco there are about 20 spaces but always full, if I sit in the cafe which overlooks the bit people with kids in those spaces are the minority. I have complained in store and to cc but they don't care so I don't spend the little money I have there! I even confronted a guy once and he nicely gave me the bird when leaving - lovely! I don't think people realise how hard it is to get a lo in and out in a regular space.

Sainsbury's are better for availability as tend to state they will give people a fine but like today they were only 3 spaces not enough for a busy Saturday.

Aww Becles. Hope the bruising clears up soon. It's not painful is it?

Today is the most painful it's been. Everything feels all swollen up inside and my nose is still dripping like a tap.

I put an old pillowcase on last night and put one of Jack's old puppy training pads inside to protect my pillow :D

I get annoyed with the P&C spaces too. I never bothered with them as I couldn't be chewed with joining the scrum to get one.

In one store I visit for work, the P&C spaces are towards the back of the building with a path down the side of the building to the front doors. As they are not near the doors or cash machine, you can usually get a space there, and it's still safe for toddlers are there are no roads to cross. I think that's a better idea than putting them right outside the doors where they are too tempting for lazy people.
Here I go again on my own....

yep mother and baby spaces should always be at the end of a long path to the store so you don't have to walk them through the car park but far enough away not to tempt people popping in. Still no point stressing it. My Asda used to be really good, could always find a space but they have recently changed the car park round and there is now always a massive queue to get to them and you're lucky if you get one. I can't be bothered with the queueing so go straight to the overflow car park. My sainsburys is really good because they are out the way round the corner so no one goes there unless they have kids in the car and I've not had a problem yet, I do find less families shop there though much more older people so that may be why too.

Becles hopefully today is the worst then it'll start getting better tomorrow.

Went to friends for the afternoon and Bob just fell asleep on me like when he was tiny it was so cute having a lovely cuddle. I used to be able to get DS to sleep rocking him but Bobs not so easy and normally fights it, fidgets and moans but this time he just closed his eyes and went to sleep.

I prefer ones like that too. I don't really care how far they are - I just like to have the space to get in and out without worrying about damaging other people's cars and ideally not have to cross any "roads" to get to the store.

Fortunately the one time people did park really close to me I was in a courtesy car which had five doors and was just able to get me and Alice in on the passenger side. If I'd had my car I would have had to wait for a passer by to watch Alice while I drove out and the person on the drivers side really should have known better as they had two stage 1 car seats in their car.

    Sorry to hear that :(

You've got a point. I know I was moaning about having to park miles away to try and avoid having a car next to me, but now you say that it would be better for the P&C spaces to be further away...it makes perfect sense to me. It's about the space not the distance.

Another thing I'm starting to appreciate is how difficult it must be for wheelchair users. I was suggesting to my mum that we go for lunch at Zizzis next week - and it occurred to me that they have steps (lots - about 20) to the entrance and also stairs to the toilets. Now I'm sure there must be access for wheelchair users, so there'll be a way to get the pram up there, but I don't recall seeing any lifts.

We have sliding doors on the car and still struggle to get the car seat is when parked.. and in a normal space we can't open the boot and we can't drive forward into a space. Hopefully I will find time to sort passport pics for the girls and we can get their blue badges and life will suddenly get much easier.. there are usually loads of empty disabled spaces everywhere! They had about 20 P&C spaces at our big tesco but took 4 of them for trolley parks!

In my local Aldi the P&C spaces (3) are right next to the disabled bays so are treated as an extension, which I don't mind.

I agree P&C are about the space not the distance, local tesco no chance far too close to the door and not enough, same with Asda. Morrisons is usually ok as they are further away from the door and are in a separate bit of the car park.

    Morning gang.
Just got a quick question. I'm certainly not complaining, but is it usual for an 11 week old to sleep through the night for a chunk of about 8 hours at a time?
We seem to have established a really good routine with Josh now, whereby he has a bath at around 6.30pm in the evening, then is cuddled/chatted to etc, then has a nap from about 7.30pm until around 10.30-11pm when OH gives him his dream feed (EBM from bottle), and then is pretty much down until 7am the next morning..?
As I am typing this he is still asleep, although I'm going to go and wake him shortly as I'm worrying that it's too long to go between feeds..or should I just chill and be grateful that at the moment he seems to be sleeping really well?
Honestly if it's not one thing to worry about, it's another!

MV I'm having similar worries! DD is only 8 weeks today and for the last 5 nights she has slept at least 7.5 hours. Last night was 10pm - 7am :s My boobs are at exploding point by the morning :)

I'm still waiting for her to wake up in the early hours again. Hopefully she won't ;) but best to expect the worst and not get used to my sleep again.
