Gaaah. Had the twins this morning whining about being cold, then refusing to put jumpers on, DD1 being obnoxious and rude and everyone has a cold :(

Have now put the heating on but twin2 still keeps whining at me and trying to put her freezing hands up my top. Not a good start to half term!

All the older kids for some mysterious reason were awake and shoting me from 6.30 am  when usually I have to drag them up for school at 7 and then they tell me it's too early!

Squeak is now eating food :rotfl: I made a roast last sunday and whizzed up a load of veg for her, froze a lot of it and it's lasted all week. She still loves her toast though!

    Morning

They seem to catch all sorts when they start mixing. I've never had so many colds and tummy bugs since I had children :o

Hope today gets better delain. Sounds like chaos there!

Just pottering around with Charlotte this morning then got work to do when she goes to nursery this afternoon. She's watching Waybuloo at the moment and making her teddy dance to the music :D

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....
  • Oh wow, sounds like chaos there delain!

Izzy has been BF her teddy this morning - she's never done it before, and it is very cute :)

We are off to playgroup shortly, then going to fetch DH, before we go to my parents for lunch. Then after lunch we are leaving Izzy with them while we go talk to the bank about mortgages. We are trying to move ours to somewhere with cheaper interest. Plan is to then focus on getting everything else paid off, then when we only have the mortgage left we can start to overpay. At the mo we are paying out £123 pcm for loan, £80 to the council for some work on the roof (we have a leashold, so when they do something major they are allowed to ask us to contribute... but can't expect us to pay it all on one go... they were asking for £200 a month, but I told them where to stick it), plus £35 or so minimum payment on the credit card. So we can pick one of them at a time to pay extra off, so that then we have more to pay off the next one iyswim.... Wish us luck!

I had all good intentions of a) being at playgroup by now and b) having got loads done before we left, but neither of those things have happened and i'm still in my pjs, but never mind!

It's calmed down a bit now. I realised that the gas had run out and OH had just turned the boiler off rather than put the emergency on!

So at least it's not so cold in here :rotfl:

I've put a load of washing on, now to just find my kitchen under all the junk lol.

I also put Cbeebies on and told DD1 she can go on Moshi Monsters for a bit. She's currently moaning at me to hurry up! Bad mummy me lol.

Izzy sounds super cute! I wanted to do baking today and was planning to sort the kitchen out last night, but as always it didn't quite work that was because I started watching Bones and wasn't even awake until the end of that. Woke up at 11.45 when OH went to bed and had just enough energy to load the dishwasher :o

we used cold water sterilising when we went to Lanzarote. it was so easy and meant i only needed to bring 3 bottles rather than 6 or 8 that i use at home. was easy to do as well.

I'd rather post on here. Setting up the group has killed off this thread which is such a shame, and not fair on the future new parents that will join us from the pregnancy threads.

To be honest with you I agree, I much prefer here to FB....so you and I shall stay here and chat instead.. :D

Next question - we are going to stay at my dads in april in scilly, when I took DD as a baby I'm sure he had a steriliser so I didn't need to take mine but this time I doubt he'll have it (I think it was borrowed from a friend and was 6 years ago). Would you take your full size steam steriliser or is it worth buying a microwave one?We are also going to Ireland in July/aug time and I should imagine I'll still be sterilising then so would need something then too so could use the microwave one again if I got one.

We have used both, a small TT one that held 2 bottles and cold water sterilising using a 'lunchbox' when at Disneyland Paris. We always used cold water when at my MILs as well, its dead easy and I think better as you can leave the bottles in for ages without worrying about taking the lid off!

    It's been quiet again!

I'm making BBQ ribs, hm potato salad, and loads of salad bits. I'm really looking forward to it :o

Squeak is definitely cutting the two top front teeth :D She has been quite unsettled with it at night, although we've had loads of lovely smiles and laughs with the whinges today.

She's 6 months on Monday, where did that go

Doesn't AF mean that I'm ovulating? Plus still have zero sex drive at the moment which I think is related to the lack of normal cycles. Did have a bit of excitement before christmas but it didn't last.
Nope, you can ovulate without menstruating (which is why BF is not a reliableform of contraception...) :)
