  • Good morning everybody, a much better day today :) Thank you all again. William only got me up twice, 11.30 and 1.30 then slept until 7am, so i feel more real and he is very chirpy.

aless I have got a book called: Sleep the easy way to peaceful nights. by Beatrice Hollyer and Lucy Smith. It has been helpful but as OH has not read it and so does his own thing at night it has made following the ideas quite difficult, but OH has promised to finish it and we will be back to working together on the sleep front.

Second attempt with real nappies today, now i have a bucket and have washed all of the nappies i have bought, lets see if we have a successful day or if we have any leaks!! It is a great feeling putting nothing in the bin after changing the nappy :)

Morning! For those not on FB, we're in a real quandry this morning! Finn may or may not have chickenpox. We honestly cannot tell if it's that or a reaction to the MMR jab he had 3.5 wks ago. He's got some spots, not a huge number, but they aren't itchy nor does he have a fever. I don't think they look fluid-filled really either like I keep reading about for pox. Anyway, we have to know one way or the other because otherwise we can't take him to the CM, so he's going to the Dr this morning where we darn well better get a diagnosis! :p

My little girl was exactly the same when she had her MMR. We took her to the walk in centre as you can never be too careful with a rash. They looked at it and said it could be chickenpox, viral or a reaction to MMR. It lasted about a week but didn't affect her in anyway. Hopefully Finn is the same. Hope he's feeling better soon.

LL - I have also been crying a lot and wondering if I have PND. DD is so unsettled and barely sleeps during the day (I'm becoming quite a proficient one hand typist!). At night she's much different yet we were advised to make sure she didn't go longer than 3 hours without a feed so kept waking her. Saw a new MW yesterday and she said that as long as she is feeding during the day then let her sleep at night until she wakes up for a feed. So we had a blissful 5 hours last night and I feel much more able to cope with the constant daytime screaming today.
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.

Thanks Becles...it IS chickenpox, I'm afraid! Finn doesn't seem to bothered, just a tiny bit itchy sometimes but overall just doesn't seem to noticed! I liked your story about James's sweet-selling, hehehe, he'll be on The Apprentice one day! The real key is does he invest the profit or just spend them on junk for himself? :p

Hiya Maz, how are you doing? How's H & W? You can tell us some cute stories!

Hi aless, sorry about the chicken pox, we had a couple of scares with the boys at nursery but turned out to be nothing in the end. Cute stories... ummmm..... William is a little tank who is now into everything and copies Henry's every move. He has 12 teeth and is about 2lbs short of 2st!!!

Henry is a typical 3yo, climbing everywhere and answering back!!! Everything is a blinking Firemans pole to slide down including my leg...Blooming Fireman Sam has a lot to answer for! On the other side he does play with William and the two of them do get on well but can be like a tag team sometimes!!

I'd rather post on here. Setting up the group has killed off this thread which is such a shame, and not fair on the future new parents that will join us from the pregnancy threads.

    House of naughtiness here today!

Jack has attacked the seagrass bin under my desk for no reason and ripped it to shreds. No idea why as I thought he was out of the chewing stage now.

Then Charlotte disappeared while I was doing the ironing and I found her upstairs putting make up on! She had a eyeshadow set with sparkly grey shades in that I use for evening eyes. I have to admit she'd done a fantastic job with the shading and had sexy looking eyes, but they're not at all appropriate for a three year old! :o
Here I go again on my own....

My LO slept all night for her first night and the midwives told me off for not waking her for a feed but I was too tired so never bothered and Erin has always been a chubby baby so no worries there.

Argh, after saying on fb that I though I had AF it's now not materialised. I haven't had a period since getting pregnant and although it was nice to begin with I want to get pregnant again. I know it's because I'm still breastfeeding but I don't want to drop any more feeds as I enjoy them too much :o

Erin managed to get hold of a large tub of Vaseline after her nap the other day. I ended up with a baby and bed covered in vaseline - she'd managed to gouge it all out with fingers and toes!

Hugs to those that need it x

LL... what sort of advice is in that sleep book?? When Daisy hit 3 months that was it - she's never been to sleep since!!! Last night was just awful:( I'm completely exhausted and we have the keys to our new house... and now I don't like the house which is probably down to being so tired:o

I thought I was a bit OTT having the need to Dyson the house when we got the keys this morning but I'm glad we did cos it needed it!! It's all cold and a bit smelly but the garden seems to of grown since the last time we saw it!!:rotfl:

Lots to do but we're having a break until DS gets home from school so we can take him as he hasn't seen the house yet.

Why do you need an AF? Dropping individual feeds might not make any difference for a while anyway so if you're enjoying them, just carry on...

Aimee got a pot of vaseline once, but she was a bit older than Erin and managed to decorate 3 doors, the bedroom tv screen, various patches of wall as well as herself/my bed... It doesn't half spread far!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Makes a mental note to keep all vaseline tubs away from Henry- that sounds very messy!

We have had our first two words together this week- we now get a noun and gone, so ball gone, daddy gone, banana gone etc. So cute!

Did you take a picture of Charlotte in her make-up Becles? I bet it was hard not to laugh.

Hugs to all the new mummies. It took me weeks to feel anywhere near emotionally stable, and I still have plenty of days where I don't now!

It was sudocrem that DD1 got in, it's no fun to get out of a carpet I can tell you :rotfl:

Twins have autistic tendencies so 'decorated' with all manner of charming materials. Nuff said. _pale_

Hope everyone is well and not itching too much with the chickenpox.

It's nice to see more mums coming over from the PG thread :T and it's completely normal to feel like you're shuffling through a fog of confusion and tiredness for a few months :D

Becles Charlotte sounds like a star, all the little things I hear about her make me giggle.

Went into boots one day when DD1 was about that age, and she painted herself up with stripes in a whole range of tester foundations from pale beige through tango orange to afro carribean  which had a spectacular effect on her ghosty white face :o

How she did it in the 2 minutes it took to pay for the nappies I don't know!

    The staff were unimpressed.
