i have no idea what the monday daily mail comp is....so thats one that i miss regularly because i skim quickly through titles looking for comps i really want to enter ending the next day when i do main. are you saying it is only possible to enter it on a monday and if you miss the monday evening deadline you cant enter for that week at all? so cant enter on a sunday to get in for monday, or on a tuesday? or am i misunderstanding?

sorry you took my post the way it wasnt intended, i cba to attempt to explain any further anymore though so take it as you want. i was not intending to say you HAD to like it my way and i will work with whatever we end up with. i wont be throwing my toys or spitting my dummy out though if its not sorted in the way i would like :)

Yep it's a different designer bag each week and is in Monday's Daily Mail, you have until 23:59 that day to enter it (I vow to win it one day too ;))

We are all entitled to our opinion, however much it differs from the majority, I used to use the Reg board all the time but found a better way for me. You're right, however it's settled we'll all just get on with it in the end because we have one goal, WEMS!!!! :D

    Good Luck
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)
  • Hi guys,

I downloaded Roboform to use with Google Chrome and it slowed loading webpages RIGHT down...to the point that it was taking about 15-20 secs to load each page! :(

    Any ideas?
    Any alternatives?

    Cheers.
  • I don't know if this has already been asked and I do apologise if it has... but how long can you usually wait before your goodies get sent out once you've had a WEM?
As my signature states I won a comp on 05/01, and I was wondering if it's normal to not have received anything yet?

I'm new to comping after being introduced to this website by my boyfriend (who posts on here somewhere).
    Any advice greatly appreciated :)

I would give at least 28 days before I start wondering where my prize is :) sometimes things arrive next day, sometimes they take a whole month and sometimes you have to chase them! But give them at least 28 days to send it out before you start worrying :)
    2008: £783.12 - 2009: £6,401.15 - 2010: £4,230.61 - 2011: £8720 - 2012: £2,041.89
    2013: £134.96

Thanks for that! As I'm at work all day I keep wondering if I've missed it!

  • It's the Daily Mail bag competition, it's open on a Monday only, if you search for 'dmail' (part of the email address) it should come up so you can see which one people are on about :D

in that case i would have it posted in the daily thread with a note beside saying only on a monday. but thats not possible if its posted as a brand new thread every week....and explains why i miss it so often going by end date its probably been moved to go before ive gotten that far more often than not. it would often be late evening yesterday or today i would have been looking for comps ending today.

It's always posted with the Tuesdays date and (00.01) after the date, I tend to forget it's a Monday until gone 11pm so always search for the post when I remember!

I suppose I could add a note to the dailies, say it's Mondays only and to search 'dmail' which should find the new post?

ive not really noticed it slowing chrome down except when its crashing and about to give me a script error for roboform, but flash player does the same thing.

only time it stalls is occasionally if ive not already entered the master password and ask it to complete a form. but i may be used to apges opening slower as i usually have multiple tabs and windows open anyway and i find the more i open the slower my browsers become at page loads.

however i do most of my comping in firefox and only use chrome for facebook and for the odd comp that wont display properly in firefox (since robo wont work with the ie tab extension pages and i refuse to open ie ever)

I think that's a good idea :) even though it doesn't really fit into a category it's a way of making more people aware of it

that would certainly mean i remember about it, and adding it as a seach for dmail would mean you dont have to add the link to the new thread each week.

actually that reminds me...the twitter hallmark comp in weeklies is a friday only entry with multiple chances to win on a friday....maybe that would be better in dailies with a note beside saying fridays only? this one https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/36820728#Comment_36820728
    what does anyone else think?

and even more actually since im here anyone this one requires more frequent than weekly actions though is now a monthly draw and is in the weeklies thread. not necessarily needed to log in and do the stuff everyday, but every other day to meet the minimum requirements for some of the actions. (and i never won last year when i did it most days regularly so id say that means others do it daily without fail)
