It was working pretty well for me and those I associate with for the two and a half years I've been here. But you're right, nothing is perfect.



Looking at the way the discussion is going this probably won't be how things work but just a question: if it was added as a regular on the main board (eg "E: 31/12 Daily Mail Wish List (WEEKLY)" and bumped with the new prizes each week wouldn't you see it when it was bumped?

It's not the Wish List I refer to, but the Designer Bag Comp that is only open on a Monday, but I won't be pedantic. Yes I would see it if it was bumped if it was on the Main board, but I really fail to see the advantage of having it in an ongoing thread as compared to being posted by Weeowen, previously Krailton, on a weekly basis on a Monday morning, I know it isn't a chore to them to pop it on. The worst thing of all that could happen to it, is what I was answering above, the suggestion that it goes in the Regular board and listed as a Weekly. That wouldn't work unless you always did weeklies on a Monday.

Not sure you'd finished. Sorry for thinking of the wrong comp . Re the bit in red...IMHO the main advantages I can see if more stuff went on as a regular (on main if that's what the majority want) is
1) then the BGs would have less to move to GO
2) the link in regulars would not need to be changed each day/week/month so PPD/Gilla/BHG would all have easier lives.
Wheras I don't think that would be too inconvenient for everyone else because they'd see it when it was bumped?

If it was on Main it's a compromise I could live with (grudgingly :rotfl: j/k)

i have no idea what the monday daily mail comp is....so thats one that i miss regularly because i skim quickly through titles looking for comps i really want to enter ending the next day when i do main. are you saying it is only possible to enter it on a monday and if you miss the monday evening deadline you cant enter for that week at all? so cant enter on a sunday to get in for monday, or on a tuesday? or am i misunderstanding?

sorry you took my post the way it wasnt intended, i cba to attempt to explain any further anymore though so take it as you want. i was not intending to say you HAD to like it my way and i will work with whatever we end up with. i wont be throwing my toys or spitting my dummy out though if its not sorted in the way i would like

It's the Daily Mail bag competition, it's open on a Monday only, if you search for 'dmail' (part of the email address) it should come up so you can see which one people are on about

Yes, it's in the newspaper on a Monday morning (& posted on here) & you have til midnight Monday to enter via email. So it's a daily once a week(ly) xxx
