The comp provider will either dm (direct nessage) you (tab near the home button or will mention you (@you) you can find all mentions in the tab at the top of the feed page sayiing mentions or something along those lines. If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

on twitter you might get a dm telling you so, or they may post @yourname on their feed as a winner and ask you to contact them
on facebook same thing, they might private message you, or they might post your n ame to their wall asking you to contact them.
or if they have your email addy they may email you.
comps in general, sometimes an email, sometimes a phone call, sometimes a letter, sometimes the prize being delivered.0 -
Does anyone here know approximately how many entries are received for ITV comps like Loose Women, Real Deal etc.?
I usually enter them and I know when they are posted on here they usual get several hundred 'thank you's each time. I guess that would only give an vague indication because I suppose many people do not 'thank' and many people probably click the post without ever logging on as members.
Plus there must be many other comping forums similar to this one that also post up the ITV comps for their members!
And of course there are the people who enter having just watched the programme.
So has anyone here ever obtained a true figure for the total number of entries received?0 -

now that would be great to find out
once i sent an email to one of the mags i post on here regarding some entry problems & in their reply they said they'd had over
20,000 entries up to that time & that was when it was first posted, quite a few sites posted the answers afterwards so imagine they had thousands more
expect real deal, this morning etc have thousands as well,
hope someone can find out, would be very interesting to find out the entry figuresplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Can anyone advise on how to handle this, please? I'm new to comping.
I entered a comp through Love Offers, the one where you can win £1000 via N Power.
I ticked the box 'no phone call'.
Received a phone call this evening from N Power to do a review of my energy needs or some such nonsense. Explained I did not want a review, thanks.
The guy told me that it was a condition of entry to have this review!
I have checked the T&C, can't find anything, and checked the copy of my entry where I ticked the no phone call box.
He will be ringing me back on Friday evening.
What can I do about this, if anything?0 -

1 - dont answer it
2 - take the call and make him wait ages for each response, when he says how many units/how much etc was your last month/quarters bill, say hold on a minute and i'l go get a copy - then go and put the kettle on
3 - alternatively do like what i did - i said oh well i dont want a quote so stuff your competition - goodbye!!
at the end of the day they are only salespersons and so probably have no access to remove your competition entry run by another site
finally whatever course of action you take, next time you log on to loveoffers, click on 'manage my account' top right and select profile information, there you will see your telephone number, just remove it, it is not required and next time you wont be bothered because the form doesnt ask for a telephone number

npower insistr on calling back til you let them give a quote. ive taken to telling them i pay £30 combined for gas and electic a month,....they have never yet been able to beat that and !!!!!! off when they realise not only will i say no to signing up they cant pressure me by saying they can save me money.
johnson press comps all state that your detail smay be passed on so complanies can contact you, its there when you tick to confirm you read the terms or privacy policy or something im sure.
aside fomr npower ive had scotish power call once, and she was very nice and explinaed that giving a quote was part of their reason for sponsoring the comp and it was a condition of entry to receive one but there was no obligation to sign up to them or such like so i let her attempt to beat the £30 a month too. npower are juist rude and pushy when they phone though so ive stopped entering anything they sponsor.0 -
Thanks fnc63. I have deleted phone number.
I shall be polite on Friday but he will know his call is unwelcome!
I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered the same thing with Love Offers or any of the Dennis Publishing group comps?0
