Hi all, I've been away for a few weeks but thought I should update my total. I'm now on £37,006 so have saved pretty much £1,000 in June wayhey!!!

I'm well on track to get to perhaps £43,000 by the end of 2010 - my original goal was £40,000 but I have some back pay coming next month and have been super good with money so I am feeling very happy.

Still on the lookout for a house but nothing suitable in our price range...

Good luck everyone! You are all doing so well. :T:T:T

I'm in a similar position, I have a 10% deposit but my income multiple looks horrendous! If you are looking on right move use firefox and an add on called property bee, it tracks all the changes to property listings. I find it useful to know whether prices have gone down or up, but there is one EA that tinkers with their listings constantly which is really annoying!!

A small spend day today, I bought lunch and got a bus home so not bad all in all.

I am so jelous of the amounts everyone is posting, I think I'm going to struggle with my target...:(

    Hi Georgie,

Keep up on the savings front (its taken me a year and a half to get to my total), you'll look back in a years time and you would be so impressed with yourself!!!

What makes you think that you are going to struggle with your target?

That property bee is really useful :)

Finally found out why my cat has been so poorly - she's had an aggressive tumour in her tummy. There was nothing more they can do as they didn't want to operate on a 17-year-old so we've had to let her go this afternoon. I rather depleted my savings over the last month or so so the ISA has fallen below £5k and the semi-regular expenses fund is all but cleared out too so I'm starting again there and trying to get the ISA back to above £5k again.

Sorry it's late but I wanted to offer my condolences dippykitty. Hope you are ok xo

Thanks. So is yours, especially since you are a few years younger than me!! :T

These peeps who start saving at uni are even more impressive - think I graduated with about £300 to my name lol (but no student loans thank goodness).

Ah there you are Tara, was wondering how you were getting on. Had been hoping I might catch up to you by the end of the year but think you'll still be streaks ahead!:j
I should be well over my target if I keep doing overtime, but I'm saving for a big holiday too which is due to be paid for in the coming months so in effect I've got over £11k to save to get to that total.

Oh wow, totally worth the expense then, you'll have to post some photos so we can see the fruits of your hard work!
I guess mine isn't a holiday as such but I'm doing a ski season so that's the up front cost.
