Still actually had to borrow from my savings this month so its not going well over here :( hoping to get some work though over the easter holidays and also to get my student loan and scrounge some other money from somewhere (anywhere!) I am currently £360 in 'debt' to myself, and I only currently have £180, need £250 for rent next week, so might have to borrow from the boyfriend. I don't know whats really happened with my money at the moment, overzealous saving at the start of the year perhaps..?

    Woooooo.

I am a happy bunny (as its Easter soon I thought I'd go with that theme). After a complciated process with Aldmore they marged both my fixed rates and they will apply the higher rate soon. So I will get the higher rate. So Lokolo is very happy.

zag2me - I end up thinking the same. I get paid on the 6th every month so in the first 6 days I am skint as I usually think "Oh I have loads of money at the end of the month and am under budget", then go and spend it all, and realise I needed it to live for the next week :p

I have just about hit my next goal - teetering somewhere around the £10K mark. Might go just under the £10K mark with spending and bills to pay etc.

I am also starting work for an agency for the days I am not in uni which is £50 a day, plus the income from my part time weekend job, and my 21st birthday at the start of April I should be able to boost my savings by quite a bit over the next few months.

I'm aiming for £20K by the time I qualify in the summer of 2012. Who knows whether I will get there or not, but that is what I am aiming for.

Thats good. I don't really look at prices where I live, but I havent given up hope finding some at a good price.

Wow that's fantastic! Well done! If only I had done that while at uni I would have a house now, rather than being where I am. I have always saved but for short-term goals like holidays. It is horrible to think what I could have saved... Ok got to stop thinking that

Train tickets are so expensive aren't they, it's mad! I'm so glad I live so close to the city centre that I can walk (30 mins) or cycle (5-10 mins) to work.

I can't wait till the end of the month to update my savings...
