Well i have about £1310...£700 of that cant be touched until November. How much is good for a soon to be 19 year old? Im hoping for at least £3,000 by the end of the year, £10,000 by the end of next year and £20,000 the year after.

When I was 19 (or thereabouts), I think I had something in the £1.5k-£2.5k region so you're doing pretty well in my book!
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)

Well il be aiming for £5k by 20, £10k by 21 and 20k by 22 to be more specific. I know money isnt everything but i could make a good start to living away from home with plenty of pennies put away. £3k by the end of the year is a minimum btw, i think il manage more :D
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

I was definitely in the minus figures at 19 - it's only in the last couple of years that I have started to save and I'm 28 (though as I save for a target item I keep on starting again from 0)

I had £3000 when i was 19 so I think you are doing great. My aim was to fill up my isa every year and the limits were £3000 back then. I managed it while being a student as i lived at home and worked part time. Then it went down to 0 when i bought my flat when i was 22.
