Well I am mighty !!!!ed off.

My Aldmore Fix at 3.05% has now been cancelled because of those incompetant !!!!!!.

All I wanted to do was transfer 2 ISAs into 1 Fixed Rate. They would not allow it, and the minimum balance was £3600. One of the ISAs was from the old limit of £3000 so isn't quite upto £3600 yet. So instead they decided they would fix it for 1 year at 0.5% and the other one (which is over £3600) at 3.05%.

So I have written and cancelled both and they sending the money back to the originator.

2 weeks effort down the drain.

    That is annoying!

It is frustrating when simple things turn out to be majorly complicated. For me ISA's are worthwhile obviously but can be a nightmare to organise etc.

I've got a Natwest e-ISA which pays just under 3% I think but they are bound to lower it (again) soon so am hoping for a decent rate (3%+) to transfer out into.

    Hi Everyone,
    Can i join in please?

Im 23 (24 on Sunday  ) and have £3300 in my account saved, Will have £4400 end of the month - Sister owes me money and other things waiting to go back in my account

Also due some backdated payments of Tax Credits (Only work part time due to disability) - Havent had any payments since mid Dec so could be due over £1k but counting on £500 as i have to give my mum some for rent

My aim is to buy a newer car by June as my MOT is up on mine in August, and is going to cost me a fortune to fix (Lots of welding)

Also going to keep a spending diary as ive never had any debt, i just pay for everything on my debit card and dont have any budget for anything really. I dont spend much - Work in ASDA so always spend way more than i need there most times when i finish work!

Not good. I was going to be applying tonight to transfer from my earning-a-pittance HSBC ISA from 2008/09 to Aldermore... you've made me think twice...

To be fair, their customer service is ok, they answer straight away and are 100% english. But it was obvious what I wanted to do and they wouldn't do it. And now just being a pain. Doesn't take much to move one ISA into another.

Rats just checked my bank account and it looks like I will have nothing to update at the end of this month. Haven't run my bank account this close to empty in ages. On a more positive note been much better this month and that will reflect in next month's savings as I pay for everything by credit card. Must also remember that £250 got squirreled into my regular saver earlier in the month and my ISA and "spoil myself" accounts will get their annual interest at about the end of the month.

Welcome! I am 24 and you have saved much more than me so well done! I have just bought a car though, which more than halved my savings. It really annoys me how much money you have to spend on a car - buying it, petrol, maintenance, tax etc etc and now i'm still paying for mine monthly too
