Its my Birthday today! woo! Got mainly money for my birthday and some clothes - im so alkward theres nothing i wanted haha which is good in a way!
Have seen a good offer on a car (0% Apr over 30 months with 50% Deposit)
Its a newer/more expensive car than i planned on getting but going to maybe go have a look at it this week maybe - and see how long the Apr offer is on for
Would idealy like to wait till i get my tax credits sorted out first so will have to chase them up end of next week (would need my backdated payment for some of the deposit)
Just got thinking to do about spending so much on a car.Make £10 a day Challenge June - £1700 -

hi we are acually looking onto, building big houses/stables with the idea of keeping some pigs and one day getting me a horse, and also doubling this as dog pens, my in laws did this, and what they did was they breed there sows for awhile, and then applied for planning premission on the grounds of needing it for work, to be there for the sows giving birth and incase anything went wrong, also thieft is another big thing if you have live stock and equipment, we are only looking oto this at the moment and some planning boards are stricted than others and some area's are a complete no go for building at the moment if it's too built up already, however if i were you i would definatly look into this, we can get an acer for around £10,000-£12,000 if we do it this way but it's risk, however it will always be worth that as agricutural land doesn't go down much(unless the economy completely calapses) so we're looking into it now
looks like i'm going to save £150 this month, alot les sthan i had planned however we bought a ride-on lawnmower)we spent £200 getting someone else to cut r grass last year so it's an investment) we also we're at a wedding on sat, so we had new outfits and gifts ect aswell as desil to get there and back, oh and i went to the next sale :shhh: i also stiocked up on nappies cause theres 1/3 off, so atleast i know where it all went, does anyone else find themselves scratching there heads at the end of the month thinking where did it all go lolDEC GC £463.67/£450

Aww guys, thats my ultimate dream too, to have a plot of land to build a house on, surrounded by my horses and our beloved cars
We're at the bottom of the property ladder at the moment so have a long way to go yet.
Can't update my totals this month as I had an unexpected £250 bill for a new exhaust  road tax - £87.00  and car insurance - £500?? Argh! Would have been ok had I not had the exhaust cost, but now I've had to borrow £200 off OH so no money going in the ISA this month0 -

In some ways it can be very annoying to know exactly what you have spent (wasted) your money on!
A lot of us have similar dreams! I don't want to build a house - my OH is a builder so there will be enough building going on without it! We want eventually to buy a farmhouse or large-ish house in the countryside preferrably with outbuildings and land and keep hens and ducks and I can finally get my own horse... Expecting to live in many 'do-er uppers' in 'areas that used to be rough but are now up-and-coming' before we get there
Roll on Wenesday when I can update my savings - if I ignore saving for an emergency/car insurance this month I should have 15% of my target in my ISA before the 5th Apr. Could perhaps manage a little bit more but I like the idea of a nice round number!

i now keep track of every penny we spend as my oh can easily spent £20 a week on choc and coke, and he's easily sucked into impulse buys
so i keep all the bank cards and take out only wat we need, i'll be glad when this month is over, it beem very expensiveDEC GC £463.67/£450

Il also be glad when the months over. Filled my ISA completely yet theres only £225 in it. Been adding in and withdrawing all year
Anyway from a few weeks time il be able to put in £5,100 so my aim on my online goal saver is £5,300 in my ISA by March next year. Hopefully manage to fill it this year though! Payrise in July will help. I actually cant wait for July as il have more than iv got now and earn more but hopefully spend less
The first few months after my pay goes up i think i could save almost £1k a month, giving myself plenty to live off aswel.
Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

Train tickets are so expensive aren't they, it's mad! I'm so glad I live so close to the city centre that I can walk (30 mins) or cycle (5-10 mins) to work.
I can't wait till the end of the month to update my savings...
Train prices are ludicrous. I have to go from Northampton to Manchester next month, booked in advance £19 each way( good price I thought) compared to £46 each way not booked in advance. Then last week I had to go unexpectedly from Wellingborough to Newbury £50 single:eek::mad: and not at peak time either.
Have to save in other ways to make up for it.Justice for the 96 YNWA
