Here’s my not so good experience with Vodafone. Id been looking at Vodafone for a while but was a bit hesitant looking at some of the reviews of their customer service etc. However I spied their RED L deal giving you 6Gb of data, unlimited minutes, texts and 12 months free Spotify for £24.30. Perfect and going through Topcashback there was £120. Perfect deal for me. So I went through their webpage and because I’d changed address recently they wanted my old address, however when I came to select delivery address it had jumbled up both the addresses – so I took the safer option and got it delivered to store.
Email arrived saying SIM was ready for collection – went to store wasn’t in, girl couldn’t understand it as it was greyed out but helpfully offered to cancel that a do a new order (but I’d lose my cash back). Phoned up Vodafone eventually someone said that it was being processed and should be in the store by now. Returned to store no SIM. Phoned back Vodafone –spoke to about four different people – eventually a rather helpful girl seemed to take ownership of my case and said she had sorted out and applied a £10 credit to my first bill (TBH her customer service skills were pretty spot on and I wished I had her name to sing her praises). Alas after leaving it four days and another trip to store no SIM card. Email from Vodafone saying that unless I collect in 4 days they will cancel my contract. So I give up with that and try to reorder another one. Manage to get my address to work and get an email saying my order is processing and they will be in touch – then nothing. After waiting 5 days I phone up about it. Girl I spoke to says she has to speak to supervisor and then comes back and says I’ve failed there credit check. Perhaps my fault for creating a second account, but having so much difficulty getting a SIM doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

So having been told i failed Vodafone credit check. Someone from Vodafone phoned me yesterday afternoon. Saying I believe you were looking for a SIM - he goes through my details and says I've "flown through" the credit check. So what deal to you want? I say the online one i've tried to set up - Unfortunately he cant give me that deal he tells me....
So bloody cheesed off with Vodafone -

Treat it as a lucky escape. Better to discover what they're like before you're stuck with them and at their mercy.

Lets be honest, all of networks are about loosing their income figures, they where gaining from air! it is hard to accept, that they are selling "an air and contracts and management of contracts and credit scoring and all the rest, that is grown in to their bones as money printing habit"- just a matter as how much under what lies, they can milk from you still...
don't do contracts, keep shopping and changing suppliers
in Voda'shmucks case its not easy, but try and try and try...
Got to hear from Ombudsman in next week or so, but have no hope in getting PAC as promised...

    Dear Vodafone company representative,

I've just upgraded my handset and calls package with Vodafone. On this package I should have a 25% discount applied to the £44 monthly charge to reduce this to £33. However I've just received the direct debit setup confirmation email and it appears that this discount has not been applied, so I double checked this using the "My Vodafone" mobile application and this is also showing the undiscounted price of £44. If I provide you with my information could you look into this for me please?

Fortunately I am on day 3 of my 14 day cancelation period following my recent upgrade and I'll be exercising my right to cancel, returning the upgrade handset and moving to another provider if this isn't resolved by day 10 to protect myself from this mistake.

Please let me know which information you need and I'll provide this.

    Many thanks,

How do you expect them to help unless you contact them direct so they can come back to you? Follow the instructions repeated on this thread if you want their help.
