I was told my new tariff for the upgrade wouldn't actually start until I activate my SIM in the new phone though? The 29th July is when the contract for the phone I currently have was supposed to end, so if I don't cancel it before then I will still be paying for that phone on top of the tariff, is what I meant. I didn't realise I had the terminology wrong.
You could for example not put the sim in the new phone and sell it.....you would still be in contract for the next 24 monthsIt's not just about the money0 -
I assume you have taken an early upgrade which starts from 29th June whether you put the sim in the new phone or not.

I'm sure I was told on the phone by Vodafone that the new tariff would start as soon as I activated the new SIM. I've just checked on MyVodafone, and on the 'current usage' page it's still showing as my old usage, which was 600 minutes, unlimited texts & 500MB data, not the usage I had been offered in the upgrade.
The problem is though, that I haven't received the new phone almost a fortnight after upgrading despite being promised that I would have it the next day, and I am now seriously considering cancelling my contract with Vodafone and looking elsewhere by the end of the month if this can't be resolved.0 -

Hoping someone can help. I agreed a new phone contract with new phone on 29/06/2015. It was for a iPhone 5s at £15.60. Great deal and was offered a choice of colours. I chose silver and it arrived on 1st July.
When it arrived, I did not realise the front of the phone was white and asked if I could exchange it for a space grey one instead. I was told this would be no problem and here my 2 weeks of hell began....
Since then,I have phoned sometimes up to 10 times per day and still the matter has not been resolved. I have had various other issues along the way, like not being on the right tariff.
I put in a complaint over a week ago and was contacted by someone who told me she would sort it. She seemed to get the tariff sorted but kept telling me the order was "on hold". Now she too has stopped contacting me. I rang a few days ago to say that my 14 day cooling off period would be over soon and another woman told me, it was their error and they would not enforce this,
I have rung again this morning to be told that it I exchange the phone for a different colour then my tariff will increase to £40 a month and my cooling off period has expired...unbelievable!
I am now lost with where to take this. I cannot bear to ring again and listen to either "Geronimo", be put on hold, cut off or fobbed off.
I believe Vodafone have been purposefully deceitful and wish to complain higher..
Where do I go now? Ombudsman?
Thanks in anticipation.0 -

Thank you.
Have tried to submit the form twice but it just arrives at a page telling me the page cannot be displayed so I am unsure if my form has arrived or not.
Anyone else have the same problem.
They clearly do not want anyone to complain.0 -
