    :hello: Gooooooood Morning
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 3rd November 2006. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

:hello: Gooood Morning, fellow OS'ers :)

Here's hoping today is a vastly improved one than yesterday! The day began well enough, but from lunchtime onwards it simply plummeted.

Plans today will be simply have a tidy up from the crafts I've done this week and chill in whatever way brings rewards! :o

This weekend is double tokens weekend at Tesco (the sports one's) and it's triple clubcard points now until 5th Nov, for online orders.

Watched HFW last night with his chicken challenge - d12yo now wishes to make chicken kiev at the weekend ... he obviously didn't hear HFW when he said "... this would challenge an experienced chef" Very interesting programme, we're looking forward to next week. My heart really did go out to those overweight mass farmed chooks

Right, time I made a strong coffee (even a decaff strong coffee makes all the difference :D )

    Have a fun Friday

  • Morning Guys!

Didnt have a good day yesterday, but feeling a little better today:D

WM is on, DW needs emptying and cleaner (hopefully) is here today, so not much else to do, but there will be another 2-3 washloads of bedding.

Its our nephews wedding tomorrow and although I love him dearly, the family doesnt get on well with each other:confused: ...OH is chief Usher and has been asked that if anyone starts anything, they are to be asked to leave:eek:   ....why are families so difficult. Best thing is that I can wear my new suit:j :j :j

DD started her period properly yesterday morning and was in a bit of a state, so she had the day off school and we spent it together. She was very cuddly but so calm. We just cuddled on the sofa after I had to go to the hospital.

OH made the bacon steamed pudding the other day and was delish. I forget how heavy it was, but was really tasty. He has also done a few bits around the house as I have my folks down next Saturday:eek:

    Breakie: Crumpet & Butter
Lunch: Baked Spud, Ham and Salad
Dinner: Chilli or Tacos...not sure yet.

Will catch up later. Hugs to all.

    MATH-Where have you gone hun?

    Morning all!!

Feel alot better this morning after my bad day yesterday!

Plans today, mystery shop this morning whilst DD at nursery, make HM pizza for tea, make sure DH gets to secert interview/meeting, with his new boss, they want him to start on monday, but we dare not tell his current boss (of 6 weeks) so he is going to phoned in this morning saying car wont start and he will be in asap!!!
It is pay day today and his current boss will not pay him if he tells him he is leaving, but he hasnt given him a contract yet, so as far as we can see he doesnt have to give notice. He isnt a very nice man hence DH wanting out!!

Catch up later, off to do pack lunches and have a big coffee!!

    Morning!

I really really dont want to go to w*** this morning, its too cold! My other tonsil has now decided to join in the fun and im not feeling quite so chipper today. I think ive also done something to the heating when I tried to programme it last night and now I cant get it on! AAARRGGHHH!

Thank god it Friday - not that it helps when I have to work tomorrow too, but at least its only two days till Sunday where I can have the day off. I really cant face it anymore, its awful. Im stil waiting for a psychology assessment too which I am finding very trying, im feeling a little out of control and dont really think I should be in work anyway with the stress its causing. Im contemplating ringing the docs to see if they can push things along a little quicker so I can find out whats wrong with me!

Anyway, better dash for the shower. Have a good day all!

    Morning Everyone

Super cold here this morning. Was working very late again yesterday and will be tonight too. Worked it out I'll have done at least 80 hours this week. But at least I'm getting paid for this evening's overtime, which will be about 3 hours

Back on the fruit tea, as my kidney's started to play up again. Had bad chest pains yesterday, felt like I was being punched. So it's all good!!!

Better do some work I guess. Hugs to all who need them

    Good morning everyone!

Its clear & bright here - cold, too! Never mind, the washing will go out in a little while.

DS has his "Saturday" job this morning (school stuff transferred to Saturday in lieu! - that'll please him..... not!)
DS1's fiancee is coming here later on to do some of her work for uni - probably cos our house is like a school, with all the books & stuff we've accumulated over 9 years of home educating!

I've got to take our car to be looked at - it is 2 months old, but when I had a manic weekend when I had to drive down to Portsmouth & back twice, there was a funny smell a few times. You know the feeling, when you smell a burning smell & wonder whether it's inside or out! It was only for a couple of seconds, & was when we were stuck in traffic. DH said I must be doing something wrong with the clutch, or treating it as if it was our last car (a Landrover, & this is a tiny little Picanto) You can imaging that I panicked a bit, but the garage people thought it might be something to do with it being new, I don't know what they said, cos DH spoke to them, but it sounds like it may not be me doing something wrong, & something perfectly normal! Anyway it's going to be checked this morning.

    So that's my day.

    Have a good day, everyone!

ps. Queenie: I missed HFW, as I was out last night. I would have been interested to see that. Just have to wait till it comes around on the other channels, again and again and again....
