Okay! I give up!!!!!! If I'd reached a point of wanting to be beamed up last night ... I've gone completely beyond that point now.

I'm clearly under the spell of the "SADIM" touch = if Midas turned all he touched to gold ... I've clearly got it back to front because everything I'm touching is turning to pooh! I don't want to play anymore :naughty:
That cooking brandy is looking mighty tempting right now - maybe it's time I was a naughty Queenie for a day and blow pobs to the rest. :p

    Just lost a long post:mad: .

    Hi everyone.

    Queenie, what's happened?

Not too happy myself today, DD has been told she needs treatment for the cell changes on her cervix. I wish it was mw instead, she's only 23.

Frugalpie - I had an abnormal ECG this year and after all saorts of tests was told it was normal for me:rolleyes: .

Fulfilled my challenge, whittled 200 books down to 6 last night, they are all in the car now waiting to be dropped off. Now for the rest of them!

    Hi again,

Queenie - sorry things not too good.

I got back from the garage, the car is fine. Possibly the burning smell was excess wax over-enthusiastically sprayed under the car. Anyway, there is apparently nothing wrong with the car so unless it happens again, no worries.

My dressing table mirror has been really annoying me - no, I don't mean the view I get every morning in it.... not much I can do about that!!! - but it just looked awful - (the mirror, not the reflection) - cos it was covered in an ever increasing layer of hairspray and spray gel spots. As our bedroom is south facing, with a huge window, the sunlight just makes the mirror look really disgusting.
So  I had an idea, I got one of those paint scraper blade thingies... bingo! Nice clean mirror!
Hasn't improved the reflection much though:D

Hi snoozer, had the same thing myself when I was pregnant with DS2 ( now 14) and had some treatment plus regular check ups, slight reoccurance few years ago which needed a D & C and have been fine since. Cell changes dont mean cancer just the possibility that it could happen but with the treatment she'll be fine, luckily she was sensible enough to get checked;) .Am off for my yearly check up next week. Hope all goes ok for her!

Had to dash out of the house this morning without having a wash or brushing my hair to take DS1 and chase after the college bus which had left early:mad: hthe town was really busy too so hope nobody noticed this dishevelled, stressed out woman racing through town! but we made it!;)

Am off to do some shopping with DH who has the day off today, plan to get groceries and some coal and logs for the fire.

Have a good day all and hope those suffering the flu feel better soon!

    Take care xx
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Morning chaps and chapess's,

I haven't been in the Daily for a while - really haven't been doing anything worth writing about (been reading it though). Got 2 loads of washing done today, so theye're drying (very quickly). Am attempting to make chicken and sweetcorn soup - no idea what I'm doing though, so just sort of making it up (have put the carcass on to make stock).

Must do the ironing - the pile is almost up to my shoulders (I'm not joking)!!

Ideally, I'd like to make cookies and Pumpkin Pie as well- Got a massive pumpkin for 50p yesterday.

Other than that, change our bed and general cleaning. Maybe a bit of Xmas shopping as well :)
We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment
