Well thank flip it's Friday, I'm bushed. Slept in this morning and had DS having a nervous breakdown about being late for school AND hadn't ironed clothes so means I'm going on my lunchtime 'date' looking like something the cat dragged in and then spat out. Ah well *shrugging* shoulders, suppose this is the real me.
Nothing OS planned - I actually just BOUGHT a sausage butty!!!!!!!! Not, me, Pen Pin's DD! I wouldn't dream of discussing my DD's private life on here, without her permission, which she absolutely wouldn't give

Big Hug - things surely can only get better!!!
Spent this morning trying to find out if any funeral arrangements had been made yet for DH's best friend. Still no info!
Have made so many phone calls and feel like I am hitting my head on a brick wall. It is awful that it is over 4 weeks now and he is still here!
If only he had told someone where his will was we would not all be feeling so helpless!
Going out to York to look for pretty thermals for DD on her field trip next week so that should take my mind off things a bit.
Tea will probably be egg fried rice as it is quick and very popular!"This site is addictive!"

At the request of jan59 here's the website I'm working on for the Christmas stuff. It's my work one, and I'm managing this page, along with several others, but this one's a huge undertaking for me

Any opinions would be gratefully received. I also plan to add carol concerts, Christmas appeals like Salvation Army, Love in a Box etc, recycle points, bin collection timesComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
hi everyone, thought id pop and say hello and hope you are all warm enough ?
I started the day off well , at 6am i got tongihts dinner in the slow cooker, walked the dog, got the kids to school then went to work (i am a part time home help). When i arrived at my second client she was feeling a little unwell and asked for some paracetamol (which i gave her), well 5 mins later she took a HEART ATTACK ! i phoned the ambulance and they were great talking me through what to do, they stayed on the phone with me all the time.
When they arrived they couldnt find a pulse yet she was still alive , i felt so sorry for her she looked grey. well they took her off in an ambulance and i phoned my work telling them to let her daughter know.
sorry to rant on , i think my adrenalin is still pumping from it......
i joked to my friend saying i didnt get paid but it makes you think, you should live life to the full.Kindness costs nothing0 -
Blimey mirry that must've been a shock for you.
Well, today is cold but clear ...
DD was up early and bouncingWe were asleep and wanting to stay that way. Hmmmm .... when do they never want to get out of bed!?!?
DH has finished my greenhouse, so now I (he/we) need to thoroughly clean it, and then insulate it ... but we're getting thereDH is now doing a tip run to get rid of a load of rubble we've got out there in the garden, which in his words looks like "Steptoe and sons".... I'll have to take his word for it, never having watched it myself.
The stripping carries on ....
And the bike sage continues .... Halfords finally delivered the bike I cancelled yesterday! And Tesco's 'phoned to say they couldn't deliver until Monday .... aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!! My child is not destined to get a bike is she! I was so hoping we could get it for the w/e so we could go out with her, now it looks like it's going to have to wait until Thursday next week, as I want to be there when she opens it, and I'm away work-wise next week for a couple of days.
OS wise - I made a beautiful (if I say so myself!) chicken in a white wine sauce last night ... and DH put the left over sauce in the fridge, so I think we shall have that with pasta tonightI'm most chuffed he put the sauce in the fridge unbidden, normally he would've binned it
Oh and I did all the ironing last night :j
Calculated I need to find another £184 per month to knock down the mortgage term to 10yrs ..... hence the meal planning etc, I want to see if it is achievable or not.
Tonight, I need to do DD's thank you letters, for her to "sign" tomorrow, meal planner, Christmas present list, may be start a bit of Christmas shopping online. I don't have a huge amount to do anyway (small family and a couple of "Secret Santa's of £5 each), but I do want to do some HM stuff this year, although I'm not v.crafty and I don't have a lot of time, but I will do something! Sloe gin/vodka is brewing and chutney is made, so that's a start!
Right, I've had my "flybaby" break, or whatever it is called, back to the stripping (once I've got the bread out of the BM .... as it's bacon butties for lunch).
B - Herbal tea
S - HM Choc/orange cake with cream and a coffee
L - Bacon butties
D - HM white wine sauce, with HM pastaGC - March 2024 -0 -

You might have already thought of it, but chemists open/open late over Christmas, the Samaritans contact details and christmas card/tree recycling facilities for after the festivities.
I'm sure everyone else will come up with loads more good ideas & we'll have you worked into the ground by Christmas Eve(Not that you're not already!)

Zed42 - Do you have the recipie for your chicken in white wine sauce as I've made a list of the things in my freezer this week and to be honest I think I could invite everyone around for dinner and I'd still have chicken breasts left!!!!
Looking for any ideas to make them a little more exciting! You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0
