Hi everyone
I have been meaning to post, honestly I have but this new job has me run ragged. It's a good type of run ragged though...it's very busy, the day flies and I get left to get on with it. This was only my first week so I expect that I'll get used to being back in the w***force again. It was quite a shock to the system to start with tbh.
I see lots of people are either moving jobs, feeling poorly or moving house. Big hugs to all those sickly people, I hope you start feeling better. As for job movers and house movers...hang in there...it'll come right in the end. Jo - I'm really delighted for you that you have told your employers that you will be leaving fairly soon. You have created a light at the end of the tunnel for yourself so well done! It's great too that your OH is being supportive of you as well. DLB - best of luck to your OH for his new start on Monday. I know he had practically jumped hoops for the current employers but it's better he takes his services elsewhere if they show nothing but ingratitude.
My house...OMG...it is an utter tip...if anybody came round unexpectedly I would fall over with shame. I've got to get it looking at least half presentable over the weekend. And as for carpet shopping..pah! Haven't been in a carpet shop for ages now. I'm off to see some relatives tomorrow so won't have time then, and on Sunday I'm going to the N.Ireland mini-meet as mentioned by Pink the other day.
There is no other news in my life...anything even remotely interesting has been squeezed out by going to w***!! I loved my time off...about eight weeks - it has given me a real taste for what I really want to be, ie a stay at home old styler...I've got bills to pay so I've got to keep some pennies rolling in so can't give up paid employment just yet....never mind!
Bye all

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Saturday, 4th Nov.. This is an "over the garden fence" type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general "hi everyone, hope everyone’s well" type start does just as well
:hello: Good Morning fellow OS'ers
Early start this morning, not intentional, but I'm not putting the time to waste, uniforms are on in the washing machine so I'll be able to get them hung out once dawn breaks. Bought some (reduced) organic beef yesterday and that is now in the slow cooker for us to enjoy once footie training is finished with.
I'm having a battle with my fingers at the keyboard because there is so much going on with everyone and I'm really struggling not to do the individual messages thing! So, instead ...
Jetsetters: Have a safe trip and a fabulous time.
Home movers: Fingers X'd for you (and a dollop of envy thrown in)
Health Front: Wishing you well and those with tests ... fingers X's and posi vibes your way.
Jobwise: For those thinking of leaving - wishing you the very best in finding something better; for those who have landed new jobs ... :T Woooohooo! :T Best of British.
I've got a busy week ahead myself next week so I really need to get as organised as possible on the home front. Also need to go over my wardrobe and put together some seasonal mix n matches, may need a trip to the charity shops for some 'new to me' clothes to extend my repetoire. Need to draw up a menu plan for the next 6 weeks. Best do an inventory of the larder and freezer before we go to footie training, then I'll be able to draw up a rough meal plan in the car while he trains.
Wishing you all a moneysaving Saturday and a safe Bonfire Weekend!

Morning All
I'm awake at this ungodly hour due to my temp being sky high. Turns out my SIL has come down with this bug as well so I'm thinking that we got both picked it up a toddler group. I'm just hoping that the LO's dont get it because its not very nice. Off for a shower in a minute to try and cool me down.
Plan for the day is very little, I think that I will be directing OH from the couch. DD was an angel yesterday so I'm hoping that today will be the same although I could do without another epsiode of "Rosie and Jim". DH needs to take the car to be MOT'ed as I just couldnt make it yesterday.
Right off for my shower now
Take care everyone and have a good daySorting my life out one day at a time0 -

off to work in a while, think we have 200-300 flu vaccinations booked in
still...more money for the florida kitty.
will need to do some shopping on the way home and then set about some washing and cleaning so I can spend tomorrow doing some course work.x x x0 -
Good morning.
At work despite this being my day off. I was at a local derby footy game last night, and I was so cold I was in pain. I thought my toes would snap off.
Had to come in this morning to edit the audio for today's news.
Going to the rugby (free) later. Really starting to enjoy our local teams, I can recommend to all to go along and see them, much cheaper than the big clubs. My friend's coming with me and I must remember to give her some beetroot from my garden
I've been given an early birthday present from my local Sainsbury's store. They've sent through a voucher for me to claim a box of taste the difference chocolates:T . (Can't believe I'll be 23 in a few days time:eek: )
Hope everyone's ok and hugs to all who need themComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
