Morning everyone, cold this morning, woodie allready on. Feeling a bit better, I wonder if the food poisioning was actually chemical poisioning as I had just cleaned the oven with some nuclear stuff in anticipation of move, I normally one use non chemical ones and wonder if i ingested some, only enhances my hate of these things.
Off to Tunbridge Wells today, to do some jobs and have a mooch. Also going to have a look at a sideboard in one of the junkshops, but it isnt cheap! So dont know if I can justify it.
Starting to get excited about the move, who wants a nose,

Pawpurrs - The link didn't work.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello!

It's getting cold now - we're thinking of getting one of those little portable heaters so we don't have to faff around with our E7 heating.

Not much OS going on today, unless you count not putting the heating on and snuggling up on the sofa to read Tightwad Gazette :). Must do my meal plan and shopping list for next week, and brave the cold and buy a few bits for tomorrow's Bonfire party - HM Tomato Soup and Beefburgers. I'm also trying to type up some cookbooks I'm borrowing as well.

    Have a nice day everyone!

... d12yo isn't going to footie training after all. He's been hinting the past couple of days that it isn't *essential* to go this week but I've had a chat with him to see if there are any underlying reasons (like you do!) but the simple fact is ... he wants a weekend off! :rotfl: :o As he say's, he's been back at school this week, lots of homework and it would be nice to have a chill day at home on the weekend for a change. Good for him, it's reassuring to know that he can set his own limits and recognise his own needs :D

Insert: His manager just phoned to say it's cancelled for this week due to his work commitments! Bonus!! Guilt free weekend off now :j

Doesn't change the fact I still have the menu planning to do, but the best part of that is, I can do it all on a computer programme in the warm instead of in the car in a carpark! (oooh life's little luxuries :) )

susiesaver - Great news on baking your 1st BM loaf :T :T :T Pity you paid out for a measuring cup ... I have some recipes for BM bread that doesn't require the measuring cup.

Blairweech - definately OS ... it's research from the TWG :D:D

    morning folks,

got up earlier this morning, and, combined with a cloudier morning, the house feels really cold.. i'm sat here in a jumper whereas the last few mornings i've been ok with a t-shirt. if it carries on like this i can see the heating going on.

had a bad day yesterday: felt like everything i was trying was just.. rubbish, really, tried to make a padded photo frame and that was a right mess, the only thing that turned out ok was the bread (and i even forgot to put that on the timer) and some of Queenie's cookies (which thankfully were okay, i'd have cried if they got burnt)... took laptop to sofa and power ran out, which caused a problem with firefox and took OH 2 hours to sort it out.. oh he was not happy.. caused a dust up between us and it all just got too much, ended up crying it all out. Not good. went to bed early (was asleep by 1.00am, yes that's early for us) and up by 10am, so i feel a little better.

Plans for today: going down the post office to pick up a parcel (hopefully some dried lavender to make nice rice bags with for xmas), stopping in at Aldi on the way back to pick up a few bits, then bacon and egg butties with yesterday's bread for lunch. Pizza for tea (Asda's sweetchillichicken.. YUM) with NCIS.. i love saturdays.. (I get to drool over Mark Harmon... and man, i love Abby). Otherwise, going to break out the sewing machine again, do those rice bags - i feel confident i can do those without messing up, and i badly need something to go right today to restore my confidence.

anyway hope everyone has a good saturday!

    xx
