    Hello everybody,

Just eating my lunch. :D Still choked up with the flu  Ho Hum. This morning I did a pantry inventory & will do my menu planning later and shopping list. Need to go up to the house shortly with DH to make a list of his needs as it's *shopping* day tomorrow. I'm getting the bathroom tiles as well. I also plan on tidying up my tupperware cupboard as this is the one I let DGS play in and it's horrendous. He had a good night's sleep last night and it's turned into a hot day so XDIL took him to the park nearby for a play. It overlooks the water.

Having easy tea tonight. Bit of a fry up and some fruit & custard for dessert.
Talking about pumpkins, DSis bought me over 5 yesterday as she grows them. Gave one to XDIL but the others I will just cook up and mash and stick in freezer. You can then use them at your leisure. Will be a chore for me later in the week. Well off to the house. Hope you enjoy your Sunday & (((((hugs)))))) for those that need them. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

dawn2dusk - I've got a couple of different meditation CD's that are really quite good! So, even if I don't sleep, I'll be well chilled awake  Good luck with your assignment :D

AussieLass - don't make the same mistake I did with menu planning and get sidetracked :o

  • hello, I've just got in, been out clubbing. Off to bed in a minute but thought I'd say hello to the people who are up.
I made tea for my freinds before we went out, chicken from the freezer with homemade ratatoeie (can't spell that this late at night), roast parsnips and hm potato wedges. It was nice and a lot cheaper than a takeaway.

Since I've been trying to moneysave I'm trying to only go out one night a weekend, and trying to get the night bus home instead of a taxi, though tonight I did get a taxi cos it was too cold. Saved £2 getting into the club night because I was in fancy dress though (moulin rouge theme) ! Was worth it to see Orbital classic set!

Anyway - hope everyone has a good day - and I hope some of my amazon books finally sell tonight!!!

  • Morning, all! Had a good night's sleep, after a few days of feeling absolutely terrible, so feel better this morning.

Bonfire display was brill! It was on an Outer Space theme. Local children make enormous sculptures from willow and tissue paper, which they parade to a soundtrack of space-theme music, and the sculptures are then burnt on the bonfire, which is a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge sculpture. This time there was an astronaut with space ship, and a load of aliens. The firework display was lovely, but over too soon. 5 mins fireworks costs the local council £thousands.

Fired up my range yesterday, so the kitchen is toasty. I'm having a freezer clearout, again. Got it down in the summer, but then filled it with garden produce! So need to clear some space so that I can make some pasta sauces and soup.

Saddam Hussein verdict due today - that will be interesting.

Due to my laptop being poorly, I've not been able to MSN DH (who's in Taiwan)) so we're communicating via e-mail. I sent hima message last night (he'll have been in bed by then) but no message from him this morning. Off to give him a nudge just now!

Have a great Sunday, Penny. x

    Morning everyone

Had a good sleep but unfortunately about four hours too little of it. I hope I don't fall asleep on poor Pink-Winged or I will never live it down. We're going to a car boot sale for a spot of bargain hunting. Maybe today will be the day when I get my hands on a yoghurt maker. I tried making my own yoghurt three times but basically got funny tasting milk, so I need a machine to do it for me I think. I think I'll have a go at kefir making too, though obviously need to get my mitts on some live grains first.

Old styling today will, fingers crossed, involve getting some general housework done. I am so behind on everything it is unreal. My new job is going fine, but it has me absolutely wrecked in the evening. It's not a difficult job by any means but there is no time for lazing abour or chatting...it's all go all day long. I've gotten out of the way of that having been off w*** for so long. I need to get a bit of a meal planner done for the week too. I bought my lunch every single day last week (:o) but know with a bit of effort I could make a few pasta salads etc to bring with me. My evening meals have been haphazard too...I never get takeaways, but rather than think about what to cook when I get in I often find myself reaching for the easiest thing to have which is breakfast cereal. A bit of forward planning and action should get me out of that rut.

That's about it, gonna try and get a few more Zzzzz's now...see you all later. Have a fabulous day.

  • Good morning all

Another non-sleeper here, been up since 2.30:eek:. Thank goodness for mse to keep me entertained.

Tesco-disco - Ahh I remember the days of going out clubbing (although it's very dim and distant) and not getting in til the early hours, just wish I had the energy now!

On the OS front today I will be making a wholemeal loaf in my new bread maker - the white loaf I made disappeared embarrassingly quickly:o. I also have to do my menu plan for the week and a bit of housework.

Dinner tonight will be roast pork, apple sauce and stuffing plus loads of roast veg and cabbage.

I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

I've got so much to do today that I dont know where to start :(
Need to check the cupboards before I hit Asda. Need to plan for quick meals this week as working every day. planning has definitely reduced my shopping bill and we havent starved either. if anything we are eating better.
after that will need to combine washing/ironing/studying/essay writing/dog walking/housework. there are just too few hours in a weekend.

    Morning all :hello:

Up early again today as this cold is not moving
SC on with a beef stew for later so not worries on the eating front when I get in tonight. W*** later, but am planning an admin day hopefully so that I can listen to the cricket and try and make myself well enough for the gym tonight :D

Right, off to dry my hair, get dressed and then I think I will do some ironing before leaving.

Must remember to leave OH a note to do the spuds :)

Have a great day and keep smiling
    :j :j
