    Morning everyone :)

Had a lovely day yesterday, out for lunch bowling and then a couple of hours at the park. It was the first weekend since I don't know when, where oh did no work from home which was special. Today will be less exciting with a quiet day at home planned but lots to do.

Need to pop out and get sparklers. Last year the children were in the garden waving their 99p jobbies around when my neighbours came outside. They happen to be flame throwers and fire eaters and last year they came out and put an impromptu performance for the children which was fantastic, I saw one of them the other day and gave a very unsubtle hint :D so here's hoping.

Have loads of washing and ironing to do, ebay parcels to pack and roast chicken and the works to make. Ds has a pile of homework to do and he's only 6, seems like a bit much to me :o, oh does the written work and I do the reading .

Have a lovely day everyone and hugs to those who need them :).
  • Morning All,

Well I'm up and feeling ok this morning...still got a cough but feeling ok.

Yesterdays housework went well...nearly finished the washing.

    Plans for today:
    • Unload DW that was on during night
    • Last load of washing in TD
    • Make Lasagne for Dinner
    • Pantry and Freezer Inventory/Meal Planning.
    • Ironing Uniforms
    • Packed Lunches
That'll do for now...just off to make a cup of :coffee:!

Hope you all have a great day and :grouphug: to you all as always.

Greetings. Another cold and frosty morning...The kettle is simmering again on the Aga and I wonder whether a few rashers of bacon and a fresh egg from my chickens would'nt go down well?

Today is the day we burn effigy's of old guy Fawkes...amazing really that we carry on a tradition which dates back to 1605. We are off to my sis in laws as they have an old quarry and have made a huge bonfire. I think they bought some fireworks too! So some soup and sausages and we should have the makings of a great evening.

Going to church first... Can't beat it really. I know it's not everyones cup of tea.. But it does it for me.

I had to spend £50 on a new alternator for the wifes car yesterday. Thankfully I can do the job myself and so saved the labour. I still have to juggle the accounts again to see where I can borrow from Peter to pay Paul....

Have a nice bang and sparkle tonight

    Morning all :hello:

N9eav, you have a wife? I thought you were a woman, sorry :o:D

Miss troo asked if one of her friends could sleep over last night, they were watching tele and giggling for hours after we went to bed so I probably won't see them til about 2pm :D Mr troo's at work today so should be quite peaceful here lol.

One load of washing to do and a bit of ironing and that's it for me. If you don't see me for hours it's because I've got lost under a pile of card, paper, ink, glue and glitter :rotfl:

Today's my Christmas cake and pudding making day. I'm just hoping I've got everything I need. I've got a sixpence that someone gave me in change a while back. I put it somewhere safe for my pud, blowed if I can remember where it is:rolleyes:

Roast pork for lunch, quince yogurt fool for pud. Beans on toast for tea and gingerbread. Then a walk round to the back of the rugby club to watch their fireworks for free:D

I've also got a pile of ironing to do and must think of something to go in the lunch boxes tomorrow.

Have a good bonfire night everyone.

    Morning all!

I'm just trying to remember when my daughter can go to tag-rugby as my junk mail deleted the e-mail...however I have now sorted it that it won't delete everytime I close the program, it's only taken me about 10 missing e-mails :D

Starting my beanjar this morning as it needs at least 5 or 6 hours cooking to make all the meat fall off the hock. Nothing worse than trying to pull bits off that don't want to move!

Might even consider making a weekly menu, though that means trying to find out what's in the freezer which is a mighty task in itself!

Have a good day all :)

PenPen Saddam was sentenced do death by hanging. :j He'll probably appeal though

N9neav I thought you were a sheila too. :p Nice to know we have another rooster to keep all us hens into line. :D I like to go to Mass each Saturday night too. Sometimes I get there, sometimes I don't but keeps the week in perspective for me as well.

Got all my chores done today except the dreaded tupperware drawer. Off to make our lunches for tomorrow shortly and shower. We don't have bonfire night here. Was banned a long time ago.

Watched the tri-nations last night. Was so [strike]angry[/strike] happy :D that Lions [strike]thrashed[/strike] just beat the Kangaroo's. :p They play the Kiwi's next week. Will cheer on your behalf Kiwi.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Good morning everyone,

A very cold, but bright and sunny in the South West today and ive just had a lovely cuddle with my DD in bed, when she brought me up a cup of tea!!!!
We are also having roast pork today for Sunday lunch so will be putting that on soon.
DD has been invited to a bonfire party at 4.30 - 6.30, which means we wont be able to make it over to Plymouth in time for the firework display, but i know where we will be able to watch it from a distance on the other side of the tamar, so hope the children will be ok with that.
Apart from DS wanting to watch the football this lunchtime we have no other plans, apart from watching strictly come dancing this morning, whilst im making lunch - its our weekend tradition at the moment, X factor Saturday evenings, strictly come daning Sunday mornings - we are such reality tv junkies!!! (and celebrity get me out of here starts soon too!!!!)
Right, must get that pork in the oven, and ive promised DS yorkie puds as well, so will get that batter made so it can rest whilst im watching the telly!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely day, and a very safe evening.
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
