OK, confession time. It's cold here today, and we've finally put the heating on this morning!
It's also nice and bright though, so a line full of washing will be going out shortly, then roast chicken, roast potatoes, peas, carrots and spinach to prepare for lunch.0 -
Interesting to see just how many others are doing inventories/menu planning today :T
thriftlady - good luck playing hunt the sixpence and baking. I've put my passport "somewhere safe" and I'll be blowed if I can remember that safe place either :rotfl:

Morning all.
Just cleared away breakfast of sausages, scrambled egg, tomato and mushrooms. MMMM. Doesn't happen very often but it's good when it does.
Just getting ready for mass. I'm with N9eav and Aussie lass. It does make a difference to the week. (If only I could get DD to sit still, but she is only 2). Not a lot else on today - apart from tackling the EEC Ironing Mountain which is in my kitchen.
Bought the wrong kind of yeast yesterday! idiot! Never mind - I'll just make bread by hand rather than using the BM. Serves me right for not looking closely - I just thought it would be easier to have the yeast in a little tub rather than those stupid sachets."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Morning all
Managed to get up and go to the car boot, it was busy but lots of rubbish. Managed to pick up a massai figure to add to my collection = bargain at a £1, did ask if she would accept 50p - No! but worth a try.
Just about to do some breakfast then get veg/meat prepared for dinner.
Plenty of washing to get thru today.
Hope DLB had fun standing in the cold at Darley Dale watching footy. I'll send DS round later to help pick fireworks, beercans etc up, remember to pack up the empty cases and I'll take em back tot he shop for a refund - lol.
Catch you all later

Hi Peem, I bought that yeast the other week and didn't look and only found out when I got it home. However I have been using it very successfully in my BM by activating it first in the warm water (same amount as normal) then adding the oil and the dry ingredients. It has a slightly stronger yeast smell on baking than the fast action yeast. HTH.0 -

I've done that too when I first got a BM
Also, Tesco sells Allison's yeast in a 125g packet, which is cheaper than the satchets. Can't remember the price off hand though.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning all :j
It's my DD's 8th Birthday today :T :T :T So it will definately not be an OS day today. She's opened her pressies, the in-laws are due any minute to giver her theirs, and we're going out bowling, eating and build a bear this afternoon with a few friends
Went to our local firework display last night which was really good - very busy though.
(((((hugs)))) to allSquares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -
Morning all
Slept much better last night, my temp seems to have broken unfortunately it now looks like the babe and DH have got it so its my turn to be nursemaid. Need to nip out later on and get some fresh milk and supplies, as a rule we dont shop on a Sunday but we ran out of time yesterday.
We are supposed to be going to a bonfire tonight at DH uncles but it doesnt look like we will be up to it. I've already prepared my share of the food so I will put it in the slowcooker to warm and drop it round later for everybody to enjoy.
Other than that its the normal preparations for the week ahead, and I better find something for our tea if were not going out.
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
