Yes, I noticed the wine was missing - goes in with the stock, perhaps?
BIG HUGS to Nelski , Queenie, TinkerbellUK, jw1096, Penelope penguin and anyone else who's in need of one!
Penny -Pincher - hope you enjoy the wedding!
Had a lovely lunch today, out with both DDs and baby DGS. It was a belated birthday lunch - my birthday was a few weeks ago but it wasn't a convenient week for getting together for lunch - and I'd intended paying for the three of us - but DSonIL said I couldn't possibly pay for my own birthday lunch, and gave DD2 some cash to pay for us all! How kind! He's a sweetie. There were several other babies at the Cafe Rouge we went to, and they were all made very welcome. Such a nice change! The food was good too. I thought of my poor old DH, at home with the remains of yesterday's "hedghog" loaf from Asda....:p
Dinner tonight - spag bol I think, as i've got some HM sauce in the freezer.
Hope everyone has a good evening!
Best wishes

Evening all!
My apolgies for being a whingebag this morning! I also forgot this morning to say congrats to TM, good luck with the business! I have however, officially told the management that I will be handing in my notice as soon as it is practical, which I intend will be this month and will most likely be gone by the year end. It made me feel much better!
Anyhoo - this now means Ive committed to finding another job and now need to proceed with that, so I shall be spending sunday tarting up my CV, registering with agencies, and looking for jobs in general. Tonight im going to sit on my backside and read a book, as im feeling a bit fluey, my ears are blocked and im exhausted!
Ive got to work tomorrow till 3, and have got the diary organised for the jobs I have to do when I get home tomorrow - I intend to have it all done so sunday can be a day of sewing and jobsearching.
Anyway, im tired, I cant be bothered to eat as ive already stuffed myself today (might have some cheese on tast later tho!) and am now off for a quick browse, an email of complaint and then off to the sofa with a book for me!

Evening everyone :hello:
Big hugs to all those who need them
jw - I do sympathise with you. I'm having a rotten time at work too and all the advice that I'm getting is all too conflicting.
This morning, before leaving for work, I bawled my eyes out! DH wants to talk to the head at my school and work out what my options are. She (the head) told me the other night that a school in Special Measures is no place for a NQT and that one is worse. She's finding it tough as she's currently the head of two schools and finds that the staff aren't overly welcoming to any ideas. Anyway, she's given me a few options to think about, but after deciding on Monday that I'd last it out until Easter, I'm not too sure whether I can do. I've been told that they could release me early, due to them not being able to support me!
DH has just given me a call - he's going for a drink with a couple of friends , though it'll actually be a couple of halves of coke for him! Supper tonight will be a late chicken stir fry.
This weekend will be spent marking and planning for next week, which is what I should be doing now - as I'm not going out! Well, we're going to watch my "boys" (ie Leicester Tigers) tomorrow, followed by going to see the in-laws . MIL never draws breath. She makes my mum look like a shy, retiring, wall-flower . Especially as she (MIL) is a primary teacher, she has an opinion about my current troubles which is lovely, but at the same time quite annoying when you just want to forget about it for a minute!
Better go for now.

Went to Cirencester today and got chatting to a shop owner about the evils of supermarkets and how we should all buy local - it was a long conversation
Mr troo mentioned my cards and she said "bring 'em in, I'll sell them, you can have your own corner"
Panicking slightly now - I'll need headed paper for invoices and receipts and do I need to do delivery notes? :rolleyes:OK, I don't really need them, but it's so much nicer than the standard invoice and receipt books I bought from the local stationers :rotfl:
Oh and I'll probably have to buy a card stand.......and design a proper logo......business bank account?..........troo wanders off dreaming of big big money...............Bulletproof0 -

Have you ever read "Shopped. The power of British supermarkets" It is a real eye opener and definitely a good read for all Old Stylers.

evening all,
thank goodness its the weekend. What a day everyone has had. Hope you all have a relaxing, happy, healthy weekend!!
DD's school has had a problem with youths messing about with fireworks. Her friend had one thrown at her, burning her trousers but luckily not her skin!! It's a bit scary. The police visited the school I work in to talk to the little ones. I spoke to one officer as he was leaving and said he should have visited my DD's senior school. I cannot believe the response I got - he said that they are trying to speak to them whilst they are young so they never mess with them - bear with me - then said it was no use speaking to the older ones as they don't listen to what they say and just mess about anyway!!! No wonder there are so many tearaways if the Police won't even try to speak to them!
Sorry for the rant! Will be much more OS at the weekend, but will have to spend Sunday working - so much paperwork!!!
Take care all xxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -

Evening All
How is everyone?
Finished work and jumped straight under the duvet to keep warm (avoided putting the heating on), My OH finished shortly after, and he treated me to a meal out, we had a Carvery (very nice indeed), I know the money spent could have fed us for a couple of days (luxury living), but it was a treat - he paid - so Im happy
DS came back from his dad's compalining of stomach pains! He bin moaning since Tues, but yet no sign of sick&dia bug. He is 10, so surely its too early for growing pains?
Still interested if anyone can explain to me what pain management is?
Got to go into town and sadly tomorrowpay the monthly household bills.
Congrats to DLB's DH on his new quest for Job, lets hope he likes this one. And has better management.
Off to make some bonfire toffee now
Goodnight all - take care
