  • Hi everyone, mad weekend, have not had time to catch up on reading the threads today so will post now and read later (hopefull)!!

Anyway hope everyone is ok, did read one post on yesterdays thread about snow.... wow wish we had some!! We dont get alot here but more than i used to get when i lived at home on the south coast, just cold there!! (sea air!!)

DD1 party/birthday in general went really well and she had a fantastic time. She is trolling through her present mountain today but not sure if she has time to reach and play with the stuff at the very bottom?!?

Party was 2.5 hours with 15 kids and all was good except for a couple of 'naughty' boys causing a bit of havoc....makes me glad i have 2 girls!!!
Me and OH have decided only girls at parties from now on unless we really know the boys (bless all the others were really good!)...dont expect that will last long?

Hope everyone else has a good weekend and other little ones (or big ones) had good parties too.....

Off to build shelves now to take all the new toys and play with polly pocket!! Woohoo!!

    Take care

    Good morning everyone :)

Woke up this morning, looked out the window, and everything was white! Okay, slight exaggeration, but a lot of the ground was :p Thankfully it's only frost and some ice, and it its sunny just now so hopefully should melt off soon

I'm in a productive mood today, so lets see what gets done! I've had breakfast (finishing my tea just now - though its a huuuuge cup so might take a while) :p Going to empty the TD which had to go on yesterday, and then load up the machine again. Also get going on the cleaning front - want to get some stuff moved about in the living room, and sort out the kitchen, and hopefully the bathrooms too! I'm not normally so ambitious for a sunday, but I'm feeling rather awake today for some reason :D

Got some christmas card things made yesterday so may work on them this evening. Planning a turkey dinner at teatime (mainly as I didn't fancy the look of anything else in the shop) and am making some mini lasagnes as I got some cheap foil dishes with lids yesterday so they'll be great for the feezer :T

Also trying to be good diet wise - decided to set myself not too huge a target as would like to lose about 7 pounds before Christmas, so we'll see how it goes!

Nice to see you again Moggins - sorry to hear you were so ill, so hope you're feeling a lot better. Congrats on going to be a grandma!

Have a good day everyone, *hugs* to all as usual, take or leave as you please ;)

    Morning :D

Nice to see you Moggins :D

I was dressed and ready to go out at 8am, we're supposed to be in Portsmouth by now. We were going with my mum and dad, me and mum were going spend money, mr troo and dad were going to do boring stuff like look at old ships. BUT mum rang, dad went out with the boys from work yesterday and he's hungover, can't even get out of bed  :rotfl: So I'm sat here with a cappucino and 2 mini mince pies (from Aldi, the mini ones with the star on top - please don't shoot me for saying this but they're gorgeous - much better than homemade and I shall be buying a lot of them for Christmas :D )

Taplady, he sounds pretty sensible to me. Don't worry. If he's lining himself up in a job with training rather than just leaving college with nothing to do, then maybe he's making a very good choice. And he's young enough to go back to college next year or the year after if he changes his mind.

Thanks, I'm just hoping he gets sorted out quickly. Nothing prepares you for how much you worry about your kids does it?

Sorry, WtoS, can't let a comment like that go. Those of us who have worked hard at bringing our sons up to be polite and well behaved let out a collective groan at assumptions that all boys are difficult. I have one of each, and have had just as many difficult girls in my house as boys.

  • Hi All

Glad to see we have another bright and crisp day, perfect for getting the washing dry. I think I am up to date with my washing for the first time in ages, however, I know it won't last long.

Just going to make some carrot and coriander soup for lunch. OH has a man cold so has taken to his bed but I'm sure he will manage some HM soup and bread. I only got my BM recently so it is still like a new toy, will probably make another loaf this afternoon ready for next week.

    Have a good day everyone.
