    Morning all

Blimey, you're busy bees at the moment aren't you? Lots of parties seem to be going on, wish I had kids :)

catowen have fun at Trago Mills I v. jealous!

    Welcome back moggins.

I really liked Queenie's list idea. I do feel overwhelmed sometimes by how much I have to do, not sure why I never achieve so much. Last night I sat down and looked at my hours and last week from Mon-Frid I worked 7 days worth of hours....maybe that's why I don't get anything done! Image if I'd had 14 hours to catch up on my personal to-do list, rather than the work one :(

Um...now in work today, but using their internet connection mostly as have to get myself sorted to find an accountant. It's a bit scary, but must be done. Then I have an interview on Tues so off to town this afternoon to buy something, Primark or M&S? It is for quite an important job so might go against my instinct and buy something in M&S even though I'm really a £10 or less per item kind of girl. :D It will be a shock to the system!

Hope you all continue to have incredibly productive days.

    MP xx

:hello: Welcome Home, moggins!!! :j
Fabulous news about the grandbaby!! How exciting!!!
Glad - after your shopping spree yesterday (great bargains!) can I come round and take a gander at your cast off's? Treated myself in TKMaxx yesterday, four tops, all the same label size, but not one fitted! 2 were too big and 2 were too small

:T :T Have to say, as a mother of 4 sons ... I agree
Out of curiosity, what is deemed "naughty" ? The boys dad would call any words or behaviour that *he* wouldn't do as 'naughty' and I would have to bite my tongue!!! They may have talked while his programme was on, or somesuch, which clearly isn't "naughty" ... so, I can't help but wonder what the boys at the party were doing which was 'naughty'? Behaviour can be naughty, but people aren't, surely?;):o

doddsy!!!! How very exciting!!!! :j :j :j Wishing you many, many happy spinning hours :money:

Just tucking into a fish finger sandwich ... it's aaaaaages since I've had one of those and it is sooooooo scrummy!!!

    Morning all

Had a lovely lie in this morning and woke up to blue skys so things are good:D

Went out for an Italian last night with a mate (we couldnt find one so we ate instead ;) the oldies are always the best eh:D ) It is supposted to be a really good one and by the prices it should be but we were really disappointed - my mates chicken pasta came without chicken so he took it away then it came back 2 mins later with a bit of fried chicken breast thrown in the same pasta:rotfl:

Anyway I managed to finish my scarf:T :T Its is considerably shorter than I had hoped but I got really cross with the wool tangling up all the time so I cast off and chucked the mass of knots left away. So the upshot is that the very ambitious (well for me anyway) plans to make all my mates a lovely fluffy scarf now need to be adjusted :o Back to what I know best I guess - shopping!!!

Doing dinner for my neighbours tonight (tthanks for all your advice btw) I think I have settled on individual Beef Wellingtons (ta Lillibet) , Forestiere potatos and some mash for the hubby who has very simple tastes!!, sesame seed and honey carrots, cabbage and leeks fried in butter (ta catowen) carrot and swede mash, a red wine or port gravy depending on my drink choice at the time and some home made yorkys. Followed by an apple and somat crumble (the somat dependant on what I can get from Asda in a minute but hopefully blackberrys)

I will let you know how the [strike]beans on toast[/strike] menu I am planning actually turns out!!

Following dinner I will be lying in a darkened room for a long time with the mantra "I must not give out invites to dinner only accept them:rotfl: "

Oh and amongst all of this Id better clean the house up!!

Best get this abundant !!! in gear then:D

Moggins Welcome back you were really missed:o

Thanks for all the welcome backs. Now after laughing my socks off for the last hour over the worst present thread I must get my bum in gear and hoover as I have two friends coming round for coffee with their kids. See, I managed to get myself a social life whilst I was gone :D

I may be back later, I need some serious pre christmas inspiration from you lot as I feel like the cows tail atm (all behind).

    Hello

    Back at work

Just spent almost an hour moving £1000 worth of toys away from the work Christmas Tree. To explain, every year we collect new toys to give to under privilidged children in our area. A local golf club's been raising money for us all year and they've given us the toys so far:T . Moved them so none can go walkies without anyone seeing. Really hope loads more come in so we can really break our record

Got to get some mint sauce before going home. Think I'll be here a while though

    Goodnight everybody,

Late post for me tonight, it's nearly 10.30pm here. This morning I finished off the tomato relish which was a success & made a raspberry coconut slice but instead of using rasberry jam made it with HM mulberry jam. Most of it is gone now so everybody obviously liked it. ;) This afternoon Sabrina came over to finish off the dogs for me. She said she'd take about 1/2 hr. It took her 4 hrs. :D Coffee, chat & lots of gossip. Our island is so tame & boring compared to theirs. :D :rotfl:DH was waiting patiently for me to return to the house to do some w**k but when I dropped off her off at the ferry at 5.45pm it was getting too dark. :p

Plans for tomorrow - taking Bombi in for another load. I have the crockpot all ready to put on after brekky, so tea will be sorted.

Moggins Nice to see you posting and congratulations on being a Granny.

Kyle Ooooh Lo  & DGS are the same age :D and can be terrors together. As soon as Pen Pen explained I thought how Doh am I. Never put lo in the same boat as DH, DW etc. Thought it was short for a name but couldn't think what. Lorenzo was the only one I could think of.

Nels Good job on the scarf. I started one about 100 years ago.

Snowy How did you enjoy your lunch with your old friend? Hope it was nice.

Wanting2save I found the opposite when my three were little at parties. Boys seemed to play so much happier , some little girls can be such little cats when they all get together. I suppose not a lot changes over time. :D

Off to bed, have a lovely Sunday all & hugs Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Afternoon all

Feeling really yucky today, although DD is abit less clingy so its making life easier. Just want to let you know if I disappear that it will be because I'm being really sick. This happened last time at 8 weeks and according to my consultant that sometime in the next week.

Anyway back to OS, DH is being OS himself today by fixing the brakes on his car. I'm just having a cup of tea before getting on with some jobs, as nothing got done yesterday. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was excellent but has put me a day behind with my jobs.

Better go and get on, have a good day everyone
