:shhh: Thing is, the steps and eldest 3 are all adults in their own right, so I don't talk about their doings
:silenced: Mind you, if MSE had existed when we were feeding 7 children (5 teens + 2 toddlers), methinks you would have known much, much sooner  ( is now a good time to mention I have 2 grandchildren?
 :shhh: There! Now you know more than you wanted to  )
FUNtastic news!!!! D12yo's team had a 5-1 WIN this afternoon!!! :j :j :j :T :T :T :rotfl: It's a rare treat, hence my indulgent boastingI am soooooo happy for him and his team (it's only their 2nd win of the season
but they were only formed this season, so I don't think they are doing too badly, especially as they are the 'B' team) Methinks their trainer/manager deserves a pint - WTG Mark!!

AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHH
Toilet was leaking a tiny bit so we went to B&Q for a new thingy (can't think what it's called lol). Hubby picked one up and said "it's this one", I told him to compare it to the broken one. "Oh I can't, I left it at home". I said "well, it's definitely not that one, the original one was much thinner".
"No it wasn't"
"Yes it was"
(repeat for approx. 5 mins)
Get home, take toilet apart, oh what a surprise - the one he chose was too big. Him - "that's ok, I'll trim it". Me - "errrrrrr welllllllllll - oh sod ya, I'm going to do something important" (troo goes downstairs and gets the tree chocs out, sticks cotton on them so they can now hang from the branches)
He turned the water back on, filled the cistern, all was good til he flushed it. the water went through the floor, through the ceiling, down the wall and all over the carpet
Me - "AAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHH  "
Him - "I'll get a plumber in"Bulletproof0 -
Gosh Dorry, great piccie but so big I can't view it! Anyone know how I can? Mmmm all this talk of cooking has made me hungry
Just come back from the shops, was very good and for my interview outfit purchased a Primark top for £4, TKMax trousers for £16.99 so naughtily treated myself to some sparkly woolen gloves for £4. All good stuff!
Queenie, hurrah, congratulations! :j You must be v. proud of your DS. And it sounds like you have a lovely large family
I'm sorry about your cats, SnowyOwl. Glad you had fun with your friend, you can always tell when they are special because you get together and natter as if the years of separation had never happened!
Right, off to browse the threads for advice on getting an accountant. Then home in time for Corrie, washing and going to do my food list for the week.
