Evening all!
not long back from my 11 hour shift:eek: got 10 hours to do tomorrow then have 2 days off!:j
Its a pain having to work every other weekend but I do like to have days off in the week when I've got the house to myself so I can get stuck in to all the jobs!
DH has fed everyone for me and also done all the lunchboxes and washed up so nothing really to do but wind down bafore getting off for an early night as I'm shattered!
Take care all xxDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 20th Nov. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning All.
Guess who can't get back to sleep. Was doing fine until DS got up and needed tucked back in. Normally I just fall back to sleep after that - not tonight. It's my own fault, I shouldn't have had 1/2 an hour's snooze on sunday afternoon. Decided to get up and do something rather than listen to DH snoring, so here I am.
Going to get loads done tomorrow. (well that's the plan)
Need to sweep leaves from front gate.
Take library books back.
I've got some extra chicken thighs which I think I'll curry in the SC and then freeze (somehow raw chicken doesn't do well in our freezer).
Get the ironing done.
Help DH paint the dining room.
Have a good long walk and play in the park with DD.
And strip beds and wash bedding.
Here's hoping DS doesn't cry going into school tomorrow. It's only me he does it with. His Gran drops him off 3 days a week and he's always fine with her. Is he trying to make me feel good? He's failing.
Off for a snoop around

Morning Peem
I've not managed to get to bed yet. Have just written out a huge word document and emailed it to my marketing company so they can sort my website out. Tomorrow (or that should be later today) I have photographers coming cos I'm in a local paper on Wednesday and a feature magazine in a month or so. (Got to get my hair sorted out tomorrow and lots of make up to hide the black rings I'll have under my eyes) Then I have a meeting with some new clients. Will have to see my mum again too as she's not been well.
Did loads of cleaning today (Sunday) and no shopping in the end. Need to make the boys pack ups before I go to bed as I'll be too tired at 8am (and fighting with the hair dryer no doubt)
Have no idea what's for tea tonight as we had pork chops for tea (Sunday) so no leftovers. Pasta and HM sauce will hit the spot I think. Want to get the bedding washed - ours at least. Oh, the excitement LOL
Ok - hope you insomniacs get some sleep and those of you reading at a sensible time .... :hello:

Morning!
I've not joined in for a while due to limited time. I've not reached my bed yet as my other half is on nights so I have to be really tired before I hit the sack. T.M. I read that with interest as I'm from your neck of the woods so may well see you in the paper!
Plans for tomorrow, pick up some of the leaves off lawn, start to wrap some pressies as I have to be really organised this year, do a supermarket shop for my Mum & Dad, and quiet house work. Pasta & tuna I think for tea. Have decided we eat too much red meat so I'm trying really hard to get the family to eat fish twice a week, but finding it difficult as the kids are rebelling a bit.
Have a lovely start to the week ( peem hope you get back to sleep soon!)

Hi everybody! :hello:
Haven't been around for a while, I'm afraid, because I haven't been very OS, so haven't felt I've had much to report of any interest...
I haven't been to bed yet tonight - goodness knows why I can't sleep but I guess I am just having one of those nights!:p Still, to make up for it, I currently have two pans of minced beef on the cooker; one of which has grated carrots and chopped leeks added and will being turned into cottage pies, and the other has grated carrots, red/green/yellow peppers, mushrooms and three types of different beans and is being turned into chilli. Everything is simmering away very happily and will make multiple freezer dinners (plus dinner tomorrow night - not sure which pot we are going to dip into yet!:rotfl:). I suspect I will be able to "pot" it up and freeze it by about 3am...so will try and get to bed then...!! Blimey, I'm sure I'll regret this tomorrow morning when I have to be at work all smiley and alert... but I'll be grateful when I can get a "ready meal" out of the freezer after a hard day's graft later in the week!!
Apart from that, I am pretty happy today - we had a weekend of Christmas shopping this weekend (we went into Kingston upon Thames on Saturday and drove out to Bluewater on Sunday) and we got loads of pressies, many courtesy of Pigsback vouchers in John Lewis and Boots points, so lots of loot for not much dosh outlay! :T
Hope you all have a great Monday - will try and make more of an effort to be more OS and post more...but even when I'm not posting, I'm still reading and I find all your posts inspirational - so thanks for that, guys!!:A

Decided to take bubbas highchair apart and give it a good cleaning as well, I swear he was a hamster in a past life, the amount of food under his seat could feed a small army. Will have to steam clean it proper tommorrow once the hazmat suit arrices _pale_ but the kitchen has been blitzed :j
Just been doing a load of spam busting around the forumbloody eejits
Need to go into Bury later, but can't for the life remember why  I know I need new batteries for the mouse, bloody thing is drinking them for fun  (I stress this is for the computer mouse, so put the phone down to the RSPCA :rotfl:)
I am so full of energy, I don't know what to do with myself  Got all of DS's stuff ready for school (mondays are as great as insomnia )
Oh, put this here then I will remember to do it, need to phone tax credits, OHs work wont pay him since he went on the sick with a tumour and owe us a small fortune, but we are having to survive on £120 a week, not good with xmas not far, so want to see if we can get any help to tide us over. :xmastree:
Hope everyone has a good day, and feels well, if not have a :kisses3: from me

well another day off today. but I must finish this essay. having problems condensing it into the right number of words. usually I have the opposite problem. I think the problem is I have written a degree essay for a diploma question (if that makes sense). Anyway should finish it today.
Will go to Asda later once kids have left for school. Need a big shop which will hopefully see us nearly to payday. Must re-check bank balance before I goHad hoped to have a £4 voucher to help but it hasn't arrived yet.
apart from that the washing machine is on. have loads of towels to do but weather forecast is not looking good to get them dried outside.x x x0 -
Morning all
Not been posting much lately for various reasons but still keeping up my OS ways:A. Been making full use of my lovely freecycle breadmaker but need to cut down the amount of bread I'm eating. Going to make a carrot and orange soup today as the carrots seem to be breeding in my veg rack!
Off now to do meal plan for the week and give the house a bit of a blitz. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

Morning All
Back at work. It's horrible here. Pouting with rain and gales blowing. Got two days off though after today, so at least I've got that to look forward to.
It's really cold too. Got a nice cuppa to keep me going, and I'm being very good and leaving the sugar out completely. Since cutting down sugar in tea, I've lost 5lbs:j Just another stone to go, although in this weather it's tempting to keep the blubber to stay warm:D
We've a load of new procedures kicking in at work today, and I've not been told anything about them, which is always useful! Oh well, I'll just have to make it up as I go and then get moaned at because management haven't done their job
Oh I'm tired, can't wait to stay in bed tomorrow until 8am at the earliest. Getting very tired of getting up at 4am.
Anyhow, hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
