  • Morning all, I'm sorry I've not posted for a while. Haven't even had time to catch up on all the posts over the last few days. Hope you are all well. I've joined the poorly club and my nose keeps running (ooh - sorry too much info!)

Is it me or are the weeks going speedily fast. I have just ordered some xmas gifts from Thompson and Morgan - worried now as after I put CC details in they said there was an error, basket was empty and that if I resent info that third parties could read it. Tried phoning them - unhelpful assistant said to phone Tuesday to see if order went through. I'm more worried about cc details - and whose got them! Have emailed T and M. Anyone got any ideas?

Roast pork in oven and this time I've just cut up potatoes and shoved them in - I haven't parboiled them - will this work - we'll see!

Won't bake a cake, even though they all sound lovely, I won't be able to smell a thing - let alone taste it!

I'm off to read through some of the posts I've missed. Take care everyone and have a lovely day (and week - if i don't keep up!)

Edit - aww, baby lily is gorgeous! well done!

    Morning all

Have I missed anything interesting? It appears there is a new baby somewhere?

Life has been mad and we have all been down with some illness or other over the last three weeks. I came off the worst and have been told to rest. This close to christmas, I don't think so! I have been a lazy moo as Asda had loads of really yummy almost ready meals at stupid prices in the reduced cabinet so I have done virtually no cooking and as Lidl had a beautiful christmas cake cheaper than I could make it I didn't even have to bother doing that.

Most of the presents have been bought now but I still keep spotting things I think the kids would like and as I still have money left I keep on spending :D

One last bit of news to leave you with, I am going to be a grandma :D Little one is due at the end of May and I am really looking forward to it but what a shock to the system. I am not old enough to be a grandma surely?

Morning all and hugs to everyone this lovely bright morning.

Plans for today: This morning going with friend to an up market christmas craft fair in a beautiful village not too far away from us. Back home for lunch and then ironing, a bit of patio tidying and muffin making on the cards.

Roast beef for dinner with all the trimmings.

My best news of the week is that I am now the proud owner of a spinning wheel:j :j :j I was constantly outbid on ebay, lost one by £5 on Monday, and then found one for sale locally on Monday night. Collected Thursday, can't wait to get some fleece and start. Any other spinners out there??

Hope you all have a fabby day

    :grouphug:If you need one:grouphug:

Bright sunny morning, but cold.... OH has just nipped out for a while, hope he is not going to be too long I feel really lousy this morning........must be those damn tablets, I had a very bad night, woke up feeling c*** at about 3am, it passed and I went back to sleep, woke again at 7am, have had my pill for the day and just got up, but if I do not feel any better tomorrow, I will be ringing the Doc.......

Going for a :coffee: (tea) right now.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.
  • I was 55 on hallowe'en and my daughter is sixteen. She is Harry Enfield. I assume when I get to be gradma, daughter will be human again?
  • Morning everyone.

It's a beautiful day here, and i actually woke up feeling not so tired for a change. Charlie got another bottle last night, but i also did some expressing, and GR and Ivyleaf, hopefully you are right and my problems will soon disappear. Thanks for the encouragement.

Moggins - really lovely to have you back. :o You missed some bits. Me and Rchdapp have both had our babies, and there are another 3 on the way now. Sorry to hear you have been ill. Good that the cheaper meals made things easier for you.

I want to do a few things today:
nip to local shop for essentials, get the BM on, might also do a cake in the BM. I desperately need to clean the kitchen (particularly sink and cooker), the bathroom would benefit from a wipe round, and the ironing pile could be tackled before it grows again. Same with the washing, although i haven't done that badly this week. But, as it is so nice, i may suggest to DH that we go for a walk in the local park. I think we'd all benefit from nice fresh air. :D (all depends when DH wakes, as he was at work through the night)

I also want a long soak and hair wash while DH is around, and the baby should get bathed this evening. He had a couple of leaky wet nappies, but he absolutely hates the bath and screams the house down, so i don't like doing it when he is in a tizz. I think it will be essential this evening though.

He is currently really settled, sitting in his bouncy chair, which has a musical mobile and a vibrate function. Fingers crossed for a productive and peaceful day.

Anyway, i should try and make more of the opportunity i have to do something. I think another cuppa, and then see how i get on.

    Michelle, xx
