Morning everyone :hello:
Firstly, congrats to rchddap and Mr R on the birth of Lily Marie :j :j
When I opened the curtains at 7.30 there was lovely blue sky - but as I've retired back to bed (where my curtains are still shut) I've missed it all. It's grey and rainy now.
Today will be a major cleaning and clearing day. Mum's health been bad this week so have been over there a lot more. Need to go to the recycling place today as the garage is coming down with cardboard and I have a few other bits that need to go. Would like to test the oven and do some bakingMince pies would be most welcome here
Did a banana loaf in the BM yesterday so no-one will "starve"
Need to get my steam cleaner out and give the bathrooms and kitchen a good going over. (If I put it separately here, I'll remember)
Tonight I shall see if an old friend can come over for a glass of vino. Trying to pin her dow to a time is a nightmare (actually, pinning her down to a month or even a year is bad enoug :rotfl:)
So, ((hugs)) to all and hope you sports watchers don't freeze.
See ya later

:grouphug:If you need/want one :grouphug:
Feeling a little better this morning, (thank heavens, spent most of yesterday on the settee) its a bright sunny morning, but we have had a severe frost, the temperature must have dropped rapidly after we went to bed last night, it was raining then.
Nothing planned for today really, might get oh to take me for a bit of a spin later..........just going to take it easy until my sysyem has got used to the new meds.
Congrats to ageandjo on your move and rchddap and Mr R on the birth of Lily Marie, I hope everything goes ok for you and you are soon home with your littie one.

Hi everyone!
Keep trying to post but have to keep having work breaks. Outrageous!!:D
Actually managed a lie in this morning- Twitten was hugely unimpressed and persistently purred at top whack in my ear but I can play dead!!
Not much OS done [that awaits me on my return home] but did strip the bed and work out that I can wash our lightweight duvet in the WM rather than having to take it to the laundrette. Studio 42 came up trumps and delivered my bargain sheets yesterday along with the small person's Beano stuff for Christmas. That's all the main chrimbo shopping completed now:j except for the impulse buy [shhh I'll get thrown off the OS board;)] of an elephant mug for £1.49 for his stocking in Wilko this morning [he's ele mad]
Plans for later are to get our wigs trimmed and I hope to get a couple of weetabix cakes done and some choc cruchies for this week's lunches. Also got a growing pile of admin smiling at me...you can tell it's the festive season I've got requests from school for several bits and pieces although I liked the one yesterday for pine cones which are to be used at the Christmas Bazaar. Free!!!
Tomorrow we will need to get the Christmas pressies for OH's family down from the loft to wrap them before we do a pressie drop next Sat aswell as squirelling away other ones I've bought since.
Tonight it's going to be mission impossible because I have got to attempt to make myself look glamorous for tonights party. Not only have I got to wear a frock but I'm also going to black varnish my nails. If I start about 1pm I should be able to look about 20 mins younger than my true age [10 years would simply be too ambitious:rotfl: :rotfl: ] if I finish at 6pm!!
Have a great weekend

Hiya all morning:j
Had a really bad night with lo, was hardly in my bed last night! think he is teething again as i just put him up for sleepie and cried the whole time, so gave him nurofen and he went to sleep:D
Made pizza last night but as i was getting th sugar out i noticed it spilling out all over the floor and everwhere else! 2 holes in the side of it! not amused:rolleyes: so will need to clean out cupboards today, ah well!
Bread in bm at mo should be ready soon, will make rolls later.
Hugs to all

Hi Again
Called Comet and asked if they could fix the WM sooner than the 27th November...explained my situation and how difficult it will be to get to a launderette etc etc and they have given me a priority slot for this monday:T ...hopefully they can fix it or replace if not fixable. Friend has offered to do 2 loads for me this afternoon and bring back later, so I should be fine:D
OH still not good. He has just taken a walk up the local newsagent with DD for a couple of The Sun newspapers...they have 4 free beer vouchers in them and will be ideal for over the Xmas period.
When they get back we are going to watch Boes that we recorded and have an easy afternoon. I had a charity bag put through the door yesterday, so will fill that with some old t-shirts of OH and some old jeans that no lonegr fit him. They are not sellable but they could be sold to the rag man.
DD has been very nice:eek: this morning...she has wiped and buffed up the sides in kitchen (I never have asked her to do these before) made OH & I 2 lots of drinks and hung the dusters on the line after they had been hand washed......wheres my gobby DD gone? Maybe her hormones are settling now that she has started her periods...or.....she is waiting for the right time to tell us she has done something wrong:rotfl: ....shes a good kid really:D
Im getting really fed up with my wooden blinds! Over the months I have tried eveerything to cut down the dust. I have tried polish, microfibre damp cloths (currently using), slat gimicky things....is there anything else we can use? They were only done yesterday and you can see the dust already. I am definitely going back to nets and curtains next year when we have some money:mad:
Anyway, must go. Hugs to all.

Hello everyone
Slept in this morning after staying up watching children in need last night, so not much done yetBeen up for a while though, so we're both fed (bacon sodas - a saturday treat
) so am drawing up the plan of attack for today while having a cup of tea :coffee: (I know thats a mug of coffee, but couldn't find tea!)
Need to get the WM and DW on soon, and then nip down to the shop for a few things I forgot yesterday. Also need to find some doublesided sticky tape as every shop I've tried so far didn't have any  There's one up the road here that I'm sure will though, but if I'm disappointed there too I'll pop into the craft shop: trying to avoid that though as I know I'll buy a lot of other stuff I just don't need! This way, if I'm a good girl and get all my work done this afternoon I can get going with my christmas cards again this evening :xmassmile
Plan is to make a lasagne as well, but think I might be doing that tomorrow as want it for monday, and I'll have the oven on tomorrow to make the dinner anyway so would be easiest thenHoping it's going to dry out a bit here, as need to get some work done in the garden, but I'm not really counting on it
Glad to know you're feeling better Gingham and Valentine xx - hope you're okay too joannasmum.
Churchmouse - i hope your DGS2 makes an appearance soon!
PP - glad to hear you've got an emergency slot with comet: WMs are a nightmare to live without!
Sorry can't mention everyone by name - wishing all the birthday parties well, and hope they're great! (as I'm sure they will be) Also sending positive thoughts to all the OHs who aren't feeling well just now - hope they're better soon
*Hugs* to all as usual - take or leave as you please. Have a good a day as possible everyone! :j0 -
Afternoon all. I'm at work in London so thought I'd pop in to say hello :hello:
The project I'm working on launched yesterday :j so I'm v. happy. It's a website and I've never launched one before so glad it has happened. I'll tell you more about it soon, but I know you can't promote urls here.
Also this week I found out I have a job interview on Tuesday and an offer I put in on a flat (third time lucky, keep your fingers crossed) has been accepted!
To keep me focused on this one I'm going to bring out my 'mortgage pig' my mum brought me for my 2nd house that fell through and put it on my desk at work to stop me buying yummy cappucinos (not very OS, but they taste so good!).
I can't quite believe it's now 4 months I've been in London, blimey life changes so quickly doesn't it? Now the project has launched I'm looking forward to becoming more OS. Went to Tesco's this morning and bought some Value bargains to start me off on the right track.
It's been lovely reading the thread today. Hope you're all well. :A
