    Good evening everyone,

((HUGS)) Danni, hope you have a speedy recovery, also to PPs hubby xx

ageandjo - hope OH is feeling better now, after Palaces result today!!!!

Well, ive had a really good day. Looked after my friends children, and they all behaved, so that made it a lot easier. Then she rang up to say that the movers couldnt get her 3 piece suite in the house, and would i like to buy it!!! So i now have a lovely caramel colour leather suite for £165!!!! Its an absolute bargain, and its a really comfy one too!!! She also gave me a big rug for my living room yesterday so next time shes here, i think she will feel right at home!!!! Only prob now is i really have no money, but this was a bargain i couldnt miss, especially as my old settee had a big hole one end which was embarrassing when someone new would sit there before i had chance to warn them!!!
Right, going to carry on watching the X factor, and see if i can find something tasty in the cupboard, feel an attack of the munchies coming on!!!!
    Have a lovely evening,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Poor Danni (((hugs)))! My youngest son had Bell's Palsy. I'd never heard of it before then, a very alarming thing to see!! We were on holiday and it was scary to not see his eye react to bright sunlight, if that makes sense!!

He actually had complications because of a severe ear infection, but was making good progress in just a few days. Hope it goes quickly for you too.

    Good Evening All

Hope we are having a productive day!
Aarhhhhhh Lily is gorgeous! Do you need a baby sitter?

What a day - DD birthday party - started out great - got food all prep/cooked and presented on trays. Room set out, balloons banners etc, Kids arriving - BUT no disco. My OH rang to see where he was, he said that the party was booked for 4pm - (I previously sent him a text to confirm the time/venue etc - poor excuse). He said he will leave in 5mins to set up, 5 mins later - he sent OH a text to say there was a death in the family - wife upset - he not coming. Fair enough if there was a death - my sympathy goes out to him. But I have just found out that he has set up disco in the local pub where he normally plays. So IMO it was a poor excuse.

Anyway - I panicked, got 29 kids to keep amused for 2 hrs, i explained to all the mums what had happened, and they was fantastic, all hands on deck - I would have gon to pot if they wouldn't have helped. I was so upset, and had a little cry, but in the end - the kids loved it. And it worked out well. One of the mums especially was Fantastic - she's always involved in school activities pfta etc, and she literally took over from me. Owe her a big thanks - but saying thanks is not enough nor writing a card - any ideas peeps? Plus I did feel awful that I was no use to no-1.

opened presents when we got in, tidied up, DW emptied and on again, so is WM. Chilling out now for a while, major housework can wait til Sun now.

OH was a great support also.

Hope 2mr will be better, should be going to Toys-r-us to help spend DD birthday money/vouchers. Will buy my DS a toy also as a thankyou for being good 2day and helping.

    Have a good night peeps
Take care - love as usual

    evening all!

been at work all day and am now about to go out to my mates leaving party, thats if DH actually gets around to getting changed:rolleyes:
Work again tomorrow so not going to get much done this weekend.

Rchddap - lovely pic of Lily!:T

Had some suprising news last night off DS1 via an email. He's decided to leave college  as he doesn't think he's doing the right thing and is not really interested in the course! didn't want to tell us face to face in case we blew our tops! He's only 16 and has now applied for a job as trainee web designer and developer without mentioning it to us until afterwards. he's waiting for an interview but has discussed it on the phone with them and says they're really interested. Its just a bit of a shock as he's only been doing the course since September. Have told him not to rush into anything.

Hope you've all had a good Saturday and that Mr PP is feeling better!

    Take care all xx

    Hi again,
That was a pleasant Saturday. Managed to get my bacon buttie at home, and do a fair bit of catch up cleaning (mostly in the kitchen) I still have a really long list of tasks and not much energy, but at least I feel I can do a bit at a time. Took hound for a walk this afternoon, and managed to watch a film "Prime", not the best ever, but made me feel self indulgent after my morning's chores.
Oh Crazychik that was awful, after all of your planning. I was watching your build up over the last few days as my sister was doing her twins' birthday party too, so I was interested in how things went for you. It sounds as though folk rallied around though, and I'm sure your DD had a great day.

Pen-Pen I did enjoy the day off. We would choose the day the Director of education was due on a visit. Someone told our poor beleaguered new head that the authority wouldn't like it that he'd closed the school down. If you were a parent and the school knew about a gas leak but not where it was and how long a repair would take, nor how dangerous it was, would you prefer the school to close, or not? Its a tiny school, there was nowhere to house the kids, and it was pouring with rain. Did he make the right decision?

Thanks Ivyleaf, I'll look into that as I too am experiencing some digestive problems.

    Best wishes to all.

    Congrats Rchdapp & family

Been lovely cold but bright day here today and has been so peaceful. DD been working at the stables - which she is still enjoying - and OH took DS out. I would have loved laying on the sofa all day reading but instead have decluttered my office - its soo much nicer in here now. Still have loads of files to sort (home and business) but they will get done over time.

Also have done an obscene amount of washing today and will have a couple more loads tomorrow and will also iron then but thats it. Am going out for an Indian buffet lunch and have booked Casino Royale to watch after - have always like Daniel Craig so I know I will enjoy it even though havnt been a Bond fan before.

Gonna go now and have an early night soon. Am feeling very pleased as got so much done but am now totally exhausted.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

All these baby pictures are adorable! Don't need to see them to make me broody though - already am :D Kyle - you wanting to have another one? I could always do with another niece/nephew :p

Danni - hope you're feeling better soon.

WM is on, decided not to finish the cards tonight but am doing other christmasy craft stuff so I'm having fun :rotfl:
  • Taplady, he sounds pretty sensible to me. Don't worry. If he's lining himself up in a job with training rather than just leaving college with nothing to do, then maybe he's making a very good choice. And he's young enough to go back to college next year or the year after if he changes his mind.
