Hello Crazychic (good luck with the party) and everyone following

Snowy you are not serious - snow:eek: its still warm where i am - have to keep turning the CH off or maybe thats the menopause

Had a very mad week w*rking (sorry but just got to put the r in now:D ) so consequently the house is a real tip for me (Im actually quite tidy normally though i know that may shock you - its only cos im never here!!:D )

Anyway with another mad week approaching (Cheshire --->Brum--->Kent---> Glasgow--->Cheshire:eek:   ) then i have a lot of washing packing and cleaning to do this weekend.

I will be really looking forward to the NEXT weekend I suspect and i know its only Saturday but i know its gonna be good cos its a chill weekend with a fab mate in a fab hotel in a fab city with fab shops so what more could a Nelski want:D

This weekend therefore needs to include a mystery shopping job (the last one i suspect after signing up for 2 and then realising the amount of work involved for a tenner:eek: ) btw you just know its me doing it cos they give a £1 allowance to spend in the shop I am MSing and guess what I spend a fiver:rolleyes: mmm :D anyway on with the list: a lot of cleaning, a lot of admin sorting, a bit of ironing, a lot of wine drinking and of course my evening with Brad pitt (well its on the to do list so it should happen:rotfl: )

I also need to finish my funky fur scarf - but brad neednt know about that:o and wrap a load of chrissy pressies that arrived by post this week.

and having said all that I will probably achieve ...................please fill in your views as appropriate:rotfl:

    Have a fab weekend all

Good morning Crazychick, Snowy, Nelski and and everyone else to follow! :hello:

Crazychik, I'm glad that your daughter had a good day and I hope all goes well with the party.

Thank you all for your lovely supportive posts yesterday on the hairdressing front. I took Ds2 to the 'salon' (for want of a better word) and the manageress is off sick! The girl who commited the act in the first place offered to 'try to fix it' but I politely declined. So he still looks like I attacked him with a pair of blunt nail scissors! :(

I finished my week of work tonight :j Much as I love my job it's a great feeling to be off.

Ds1 is playing rugby tomorrow morning so I'll be on the sidelines freezing to death as usual. Watching him play is a bitter sweet experience....I love his enthusiasm, but it's such a rough game and I live in dread of him gettng hurt. I have warned him that if he ever gets injured I will embarrass him by running onto the pitch and giving the poor boy that takes him down hell. :o

The only other plans for tomorrow are a bit of Christmas shopping for my husbands family as he's going to visit them next weekend and it should save a bit on postage if he can take the presents with him.

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

    Pink

P.S. I have deliberately not mentioned the kitchen cupboards, because I didn't achieve my goal of finishing them by the end of this week. :o

    Snowy you win hands down!

Yep Nelski, it's true, we had a covering of snow! I live on high ground though it was a thin layer here (mind you I didn't venture outside until 9.30 am so). I must admit I dread snow as it's hellish driving up or down the hill to my house:eek:.

There is an evil chilly wind blowing tonight, I've actually but on the central heating! I have Juliette balcony things over my front windows - they are metal and are very pretty, but they reverberate in the wind and they are so damn noisy!

    Good night again!

well today I must get stuck in to my essay. apart from a bit of taxi driving for the kids the day will be my own as mr dogrose is nightshift and will be sleeping. So I have no excuse. Will eat out of the freezer and avoid shopping to save some cash.
Talking about saving cash - worked my extra shift yesterday so thats another £70 in the Florida kitty and I booked another two shifts (so should have £350 before christmas!) and even better they may need some more shifts covered ;)

  • Morning Guys!

A bad night here as OH kept having bad dreams. Could be the medication or just worrying about if he has to go in for an op:confused: Im gonna try and look after him today, although feeling lousy myself. We have friends coming later, but may contact them and ask if they can only stay a short while or change the dates.

Crazychick-Im sure the party will be fab and DD will enjoy herself. I did a party earlier on this year (well a belated party as her birthday is in Decmeber) and it went well thanks to all the advice off here:D Make it as easy for you as possible and just do the basic cleaning (toilet& room they will be in) as you can clean after...just enjoy it yourself!

Nelksi-What day you coming to Kent this week? We are away Thursday/Friday/Saturday but if its another day....you can pop in for a cuppa and biccie:D

DW will be put on later and am going to try another washload in the WM:eek:   I will also contact Comet and state that a week monday just simply isnt good enough! BargainRzl text last night and offered to do a couple of washloads for me through the week and just wanted to say thanks hun....your such a sweety. I may well take you up on that offer:o

We have done well on Ebay this week and have made over £100, have more auctions finishing on Sunday. Are sorting ATM to do a bootsale in the next 3 weeks as we have alot of stuff that wont sell on ebay and even if we get 50p or £1 for everything-it shoudl still give us a tidy sum and space under the stairs and a cupboard back:p

Have promised DD sausage, bacon, egg, beans & toast for breakie. so will have the same and may see if DD can help me do it and if OH is still in bed, he can have his in bed:D

Anyway, I have to go and pop some pills and have a coffee (I have started making flasks again for me as I cant lift the kettle and it stays nice and hot all day)

Breakie: Sausage, Bacon, Beans, Egg & Toast
Lunch: Soup & Bread or Toasted Sarnie
Dinner: Chicken Curry, Rice, Bombay spuds, Samasos and Nan Bread

    Hugs to all.

    PP

    Good morning folks,
I'm Looking forward to this couple of days as DH is going camping in the Lakes (Brrr) so I have the house to myself. I'm torn between getting loads of things done, or having a really lazy self indulgent time.
Had yesterday off work, as there was a gas leak in my classroom and we had to turn the children away as they arrived.
I've nearly finished the diagnosing process, the bloods came back and I'm anaemic but not menopausal... so I'm stuffing the iron tablets down like there wouldn't be a tomorrow without them. (Have to arrange tea, coffee, eggs, wholegrains intakes so that they're at least an hour from the iron tabs. Also can't take Vit C so next thing you know, one of my school darlings will have handed on a cold.)
Scan over & done with, some big ol' fibroids and a mystery area! isn't that fun?
Anyway, off to buy the Guardian (more stickers for the nevvies & Neices) I seem to have a bit more energy thanks to the tabbies, but still drop to sleep unexpectedly every now & then, so I'll get moving before I cave in.
Nice real fire later, bacon butties first, either at home, or in Holmfirth W.I. market....

    go on..... you choose.

:hello: Goooooood Morning fellow OS'ers :D:D:D

Furbaby, chook and quails already done, have a bath run and waiting but need to do a quick 20 min whip round first, then I won't feel guilty if I lay in the bath and read.

Crazychik - have fun with the party :D:D
Snowy, enjoy playing catchup with your friend, you'll have lots to talk about ;)
Nels, hope you get that scarf finished and then if BP doesn't turn up and some of Snowy's snow finds it's way over to you, you can snuggle in it while you sup that wine.
Pink - you worry too much ;):D
    Amie - congrats to your dd for raising £20 :T :T :T
dogrose, hope you get your essay done and well done on your Florida kitty booster :T :T
PP - hope you enjoy your evening with friends, even if you end up having to shorten it.
Topher - hope you find a compromise between the house and spoiling yourself. Oooooh bacon butties!!! Yes, I think that has just gone on my menu planner for this morning :D

Yesterday's cooking was a success and now I have lots of starter meals in the freezer - quite pleased with my achievements there :D
Need to write out some more Christmas Cards today ready for posting next month, and I'm making up a dozen survival kits so I need to write out a list of items I need and go gathering :D
Friends birthday today, so a visit is on the cards and I must get on with the throws I'm making (four in total)
    Have a super Saturday :D:D:D

  • Morning all!:hello: hugs to all who need them especially PP and Mr PP:grouphug:

It looks like a beautiful morning outside, we had SO much rain here yesterday everywhere is drenched including my nice clean windows  but I'm not going to do anything about them today :o

Had a wonderful time last night, old friends came for dinner which turned out to be delicious, but I'm still so full up I can barely move today. Everything was home made of course OS style, definitely worth the effort because it all tasted so good and there was so much of it!! I bought chicken breasts from the butcher instead of the usual tiddly little supermarket offerings and they were the size of turkey breasts I think, no one could finish them (but the cat enjoyed a treat).

Today I'm going to have a quiet day just finishing off some sewing that I've been attempting to do for weeks, I have some more Christmas cards to write and a few more pressies to wrap. I also have half a red cabbage left over from a salad I made last night so I will be making Delia's red cabbage recipe ready for Christmas to go into the freezer.

Breakfast: Have no idea, am too full up!
    Lunch: ditto
Dinner: probably leftover soup and an indigestion tablet :D

    Have a great day everyone!

Yesterday my DS2 has his cast off but had to have a smaller one put back on as his leg isnt strong enough yet:( he was a bit upset about it but at least he is allowed to put weight on it now, and he is still on crutches for a while, this cast will come off in two weeks time:)

Had a busy afternoon making bath bombs and body butters for rellies xmas prezzies, they smell delish:D I also made up a basket for my DD nursery teachers (she has 4) nabbed the idea from xmas board, cant remember who from but i am really pleased with the end result, have wrapped in cellophane and purple bows. i am going to make it more personal by getting DD to do a handprint in purple paint and i am going to cut it out for the tag:) not quite xmassy but different;)

Last night saw me knee deep in beeswax as was making another large order of candles, had another 2 deliveries from wholesalers yesterday, so have all those things to list in ebay shop. i am due in 3 deliveries next week!!! so i know it will be busy then! shouldnt complain tho as i have the best job ever:D

Plans for today in fact for the weekend are:

no going anywhere, after all the running around ive done this week i just want a couple of days at home!
