Hi all,
Back from Pre-school where i helped out this morning (i love having an excuse to cut and stick and generally be a big kid) and have had my lunch and fed the kids and it has taken me ages to catch up on this thread as everyone has been so busy!!
Now have the job of finishing preparations for dd1 4th birthday tomorrow, she is having a 'princess party' and we will have a total of 15 kids running round my house:eek: i think i must be mad?? I am sure we will have fun really and it is only for 2.5 hours.......???
Have made pass the parcels and prepped up party bags so cooking sausage rolls etc tomorrow am and making rolls.
OH is now making 'mini jam tarts' and 'mini chocolate tarts' with 2 dds, that will teach him for offering....:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I have the cleaning to do so the house is tidy and in order for the inspection of the other mums.... Quick whizz round should be fine!! Have to move all te toys upstairs too so there is room for all the children to move?
Anyway enough going on must get tidying...will have to check out the flylady thread later as been too scared to do it till now...not a big fan of cleaning!!
Happy Birthday to all those celebrating today!!
Pink Winged - Your sons hair looks fine, he looks very sweet but as i know myself with my 'butter wouldnt melt' children that looks can sometimes be deceiving!!
Valentine - I am so excited for you being pregnant, it is such a fabulous time, i would love to do it over and over but dont really want too many kids. Good luck with it all and really enjoy it. Someone once said to me "if you wait until you can afford children you will never do it" that is very wise and generally i just think you manage because you have to and you really should not worry about it!! We have all been there!!
rchddap1 - wow congratulations to you all on the Birth of Lily, the fun is now starting!!!
Vivw - hope you managed to locate some jars for all your chutney!
and finally Thanks to Aussielass (it is very exciting having someone who lives the other side of the world) and pinkwinged for welcoming me to the thread!!!
chat later, dirty bathroom calling........

Pink-winged wrote:Good morning everyone! :hello:
Mr Pink, daughter and elder son have been sent on their merry way and I am having a few moments to myself while the youngest gets dressed, very very very, slowly. The time he takes to get dressed is driving me bananas, which is one of the reasons I’ve taken to posting here in the mornings in an effort to distract myself and stop me from nagging him to death.
Yesterday was a busy day; hopefully today will be a little quieter. Nothing exciting planned just a general tidy up and vacuum before the weekend.
I have to take ds2 back to the hairdressers this afternoon. I couldn’t get an appointment with our regular hairdresser last week and his fringe was so long, he could barely see out….so I took him to one of those (expensive) no appointment places because it was urgent. The very young girl who did it, couldn’t cut hair for toffee! She took over an hour to do a dry trim and made a complete mess of it! No two hairs are the same length and his fringe is totally squint.
It looks like I attacked him with a pair of nail scissors! I told her at the time that I wasn’t happy (it must have been bad, because I hate complaining), but then she added insult to injury by saying that it was an old fashioned haircut and hairdressers these days aren’t trained to do them. What she said has bothered me a little bit…bearing in mind that he is only six, is his haircut old fashioned? Ds2. Anyway, to cut a long story short (unintentional pun) I rang them and the manageress has said that she will fix it today….here’s hoping!
Vicky, I’m glad you’ve made a decision about the job…travelling sounds like a great idea.
Catowen, I forgot the tooth fairy once. It’s a horrible feeling.
Penelope Penguin, I hope your head feels better soon.
Got to run…. My little darling has now proudly presented himself to me, fully dressed. Apart from a badly buttoned shirt, a missing shoe and toothpaste down the front of his jumper he looks just fine.
Have a great Friday everyone!
Pink
I have a fair few friends who are hairdressers and this is rubbish! Cutting a style is simply using your ability to cut neatly/straightly in any way shape or form the customer asks for. I definitely wouldn't have taken that cheek and would not have paid either. She has just used that as an excuse because she is clearly an incompetent hairdresser.
Your sons hair is completely fine, ignore that dud hairdresser!!

CONGRATULATIONS rchddap1
Sorry folks need to have a moan. Today has got on top of me big time. DD is so clingy that I havent been able to put her down all morning so none of my jobs have got done. Then she went for a sleep so I ate my lunch but she wouldnt settle so in the end I gave up and went to toddler group to find that its not on again.
Dh has left me with his car today and I discovered that its got no brakes so he'll have to fix them at the weekend, more money to find. I am seriously wondering how I'm going to cope with 2 children because at the moment I'm not even coping with having 1 and I seriously could go to sleep.
This post has taken me 25 minutes to right as i keep having to stop because DD is climbing all over me. DH will come home tonight and wonder what I've been doing because I havent even managed to do the breakfast dishes yet.
Sorry for moaning its all getting abit muchSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Many Congratulations to rchddap1!0
