Awww- I hope you both get better soon. Lily Marie is a very pretty name
I forgot this morning we were due at the bank to discuss bank charges and overdraft . The person we were meant to be seeing though can't today, so we popped into the library for a little bit and withdrew remaining money while down there (as the cashpoint doesn't charge there but the local one does). Got a reply on the social fund loan I asked for so we can buy a new bed for DD (as she's managed to break hers) and other furniture that we need pretty desperately, and we got what we wanted so reply is ready to be posted along with the application to the council for travel costs to the college I'm applying for.
I'm not sure if DD can readShe's been making sounds that are very similar to the words on the page, but as soon as I ask her to repeat them she talks in gobbledegook again. I could read at her age, but I'm hyperlexic so that isn't normal
We've had OH's nanna's broth for dinner- was a little bland but still nice and filling. Nothing can beat OH's dad's broth- it's only vegetables, lentils, stock and water but it's the yummiest thing I've ever tasted. I just don't have the strength in my hands to make it myself.
Nothing much to do until DD goes to nanna's, though my sister will be ringing around 4.30pm (she's in foster care so I don't get to speak to her much). Her birthday is 22nd December (she'll be 15) so I'm going to find out what she wants. She's asked for some really expensive perfume but I've already said no to thatPurple Penguin Power!

Hi all!
Kazonline - lovely to see you back! :j
RCHDDAP1 - many congratulations on the arrival of Lily Marie - lovely name too! Wishing you both a speedy recovery. I was only 4lb 4oz when I was born - you'd never think so to look at me now!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all the Little Misses:j
Pink-winged - your son is gorgeous and I don't think his haircut is old-fashioned! I've found a hair salon near me that's much cheaper than where i used to go - all the other clients are about 20 years older than me, but the owner does a very good "wet cut" - I did have a "cut-and-blow-dry" there once, but came out looking like Claire Rayner, so it was back to the wet cut again the next time!:D
Haven't had time to read yesterday's thread yet, but Penny-Pincher I gather you finished your essay - congratulations, I just don't know how you manage it!
And Vicky A it sounds as if you are taking a break and going travelling - that's really great news!:T
Snowyowl so glad you are happier in the new job.:T
Must go now as hands are painful ATM but may pop back later! Hope everyone has a good day.:D
Nearly forgot - ((((((HUGS)))))) to everyone who needs one!
Best wishes

Scanner has been taken by Freecycler no.1 so now all I have to do is remember to go home via Canary Wharf to drop off the blank tapes to Freecycler No.2.

Hi everyone!
congratulations RCHDAPP and welcome back Kazonline.
All well here today although couldn't be bothered to make my sloe vodka last night...pinned to the chair snoring loudly I was following on from my delicious takeaway. What a scrummy treat!!
White load done today and towels changed. Would normally have stripped our bed but realised that I've been a complete dunce and because I've ordered new sheets by mail order because they were a good deal I'm currently without a spare one as the other one has gone completely through. Think I shall have to smile sweetly at Mummy and borrow one until they arrive to tide us over!!
Tonight I've got the joys of Tesco
Menu this week is Sat Honeyed turkey [turkey already in freezer]
Sun Roast Lamb [lamb bought on offer in freezer]
Mon peanut stirfry
Tues Pasta Milanese
Wed Chickpea and coriander curry
Thurs veggie burgers [not HM]
Fri forgotten:rotfl: :rotfl: sorry!!
Am off to a friend's 40th party tomorrow evening...free drinks and nibbles and a live band. Fingers crossed that she likes the scarf I've knitted. Will also be making carrot and coriander or orange soup to use up the hundreds of carrots that I've acquired in my fridge. Will also need to do some weeding at some point.Ugh!!
Have a fab weekend
