Morning everybody :hello:
Well I can't really believe my laziness but last night I got NOTHING DONE  other than surfing the internet with a glass of wineOh OK, I suppose I did do SOME things - went to Tesco, happened to coincide at the chiller cabinet with the arrival of the bloke doing the final reductions, and for the grand sum of £2.10 I got six fishcakes, two bottles of fruit juice, a tray of oven-roast veggies, and two salmon fillets :T. I was especially pleased with the salmon fillets, as I prefer to make fish pie with both white and pink fish  and I already have some haddock in the freezer along with all the other ingredients! :j :j
And I phoned Argos because I placed a furniture order last week which didn't seem to go through, and I'd queried it and was told it hadn't, so I ordered it again, only to find that the original order HAD gone through and I'd been charged for both  So I had to arrange a refund. It was just as well that it was on my Amex card which has a big credit limit - it was a substantial amount of money!
And I had my crockery and bedside lamp collected by a Freecycler.
More Freecycling today so I had a heavy load to carry into work - my old flatbed scanner is being collected from the office at lunchtime, and I've got a box of blank audio tapes which I'm dropping off to somebody at Canary Wharf this evening, which is perfect as I need to go to Argos and TK Maxx on the way home, and CW is en route.
MUST do lots this evening. I want to get the majority of my packing finished today as I am busy with other things for the next few days and don't want to be in a mad rush on Wednesday the day before I move. There's not a great deal left, as I got through most of it last Sunday :T but having Freecycled a few things, there are now a few patches of my bedroom floor which are not currently covered in boxes, so it's not quite so tricky to get to the remaining things.
Must go, ((((hugs)))) if you need them

Hi everyone,
Hugs all round. Welcome other newbies - I've watched this thread lots and always smiled so have contributed so once or twice before. Am still battling a cold taking grip on me.
Everyone is so productive on here I feel very lazy only having done one load of washing and the dishwasher. Although did walk the dog on the beach which he loved. Been reading lots of threads about packed lunches/ sandwiches. Have been doing these for several weeks now (can't believe I did not do these before!) and enjoy the convenience and dare I say the quality too! Plus t'other half is diabetic and he seems better too. All that salt/ sugar/ other stuff added to ready-made/packaged sandwiches can't be good for you either.
The golden leaves are finally leaving the trees around it but it's still reasonably warm. Is it sad to be excited that my gas bill will be lower than usual?! Very impressed with the cooks in this thread roasting lots of chickens and making lots of soup.
On the subject of crockery (someone mentioned Denby) - we bought some Portmeirion v.cheap from Debenhams in their post-Christmas sale a year or two back. It was a discontinued pattern but managed to pick up dinner plates and other bits for something ridiculous like £2 each. Portmeirion is sturdy stuff (quite thick) but merrily goes through the dishwasher loads of times. So recommend it - you often see it in TK Maxx and some of these designer outlets too. The patterns are normally quite bold but this one has leaves and worked out cheaper than buyer a plain set from Argos! (which I'd planned to do).
I'd better get a move on (and stop rambling!) and do some chores like...airing the house a bit (love fresh air!), hoovering and some decluttering!
Byee.Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Hate it when that happens!!! Funnily enough, that was my concern the other week when I encountered problems with Mr T & Tesco Direct. Put in a lovely biggish order and it all went horribly wrongJust logged in to give an update funnily enough ....
... I'm in love with Mr T today!! :happylove
Had my final update with one of the Managers and between tesco points and cash refund for all the gremlins over my order ... I have been given the gift of ..... *drumroll please* ... £140:j :T Wooooooohooooooooo!!!!!!! Isn't it just wonderful when that happens
 :T
Ok, chickens roasted, pot roast bubbling, yogurt made, 2 washloads now done (getting overcast so it's back to airer's ) - 3rd load can wait until tomorrow in that case.
Still no nice parcels from Postie, but I have secured an order with Amazon, only to find that the items I was holding in my shopping basket from last week .... have been *reduced* :j :j :j
Seems I'm on a roll with money on way or another right now (long may it last!)
Catch up later:wave:
