:hello: Gooooooooood Morning fellow OS'ers
It's a glorious morning here, the sun is shining, the sky almost completely clear; there's a wind, but that suits me just fine as I have 3 washloads to do
Yesterday I bagged a couple of pot roast beef joints for £2 each and several bags of cheapie veggies at 10p each, soooooooo, in a mo I'm putting the lot in the slow cooker and then I'll freeze in meal size portions.
Also bagged some reduced priced chickens; they are going into the oven shortly to roast off (should get 3 squeezed into the large roasting tin) then later I'll slice and dice then freeze those in meal sized portions too. The carcasses will go into the SC tomorrow for stock.
Of the 10p cauliflowers, I'm making curried cauli soup and some cauliflower cheese - again, these will go into the freezer .. although there's a real danger I won't be able to resist a goodly portion of cauliflower cheese
All that will take time, but very little on the "effort" front and while it's all doing it's own thing, I can get the washing hung out and have a good hoover/polish through.
I'm stuck in today waiting for parcels anyway so I can maximise my time multitasking before the weekend :j :j :j
Saturday and Sunday I'll be Crafting For ChristmasI do need to pop over to a friends for her birthday, but I'm confident that I can fit it all in with ease and little tension/stress.
Read a lovely quote yesterday which had me chuckling:-
Not to worry ...
Not to fret ...
All is well ...
But not just yet!
Already achieved several of the admin tasks on my to do list this morning and only another couple of phone calls to go.
Haven't had a chance to catch up with everyone's news yet, but ((hugs)) for those who may need/want/deserve them today.
Have a FUNtastic Friday:wave:
PS: Sorry for my delay in answering PM's, I *will* get around to it!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Happy Birthday to mrsmortenharket and Miss pigpen
Pink Your DS is adorable. His hair is just a normal style. The girl sounded useless. Good on you for ringing up. That takes nerve.
wanting2save Welcome to OS.
I'm so tired atm. Trying to muster up the energy to have a shower. Will have to pass on the *steamy* night planned with DH. :rotfl:
DGS stirred about 100 times last night. Slight exaggeration there.and finally woke up at 6am. Had a day out, bought curtaining and blinds, and also took YS to airport which on the way back was bumper to bumper. Missed the ferry and had to get the 7pm one back.
Our quotes for the tiling have come in  and now DH reckons we can do it ourselves.:D Oh my. Maybe I won't be posting the finished bathroom photo's after all. Better go and do the dishes. Hope you all have a nice day. Uncle Bills' funeral went well today I heard. ((((((hugs))))) to those under the weather. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Hi everyone,
Aussilass it took my DH 2 years to finish tiling our bathroom:eek: ! He's such a perfectionist, but I must admit I feel very smug when I see the horor tiling done professionally in my SIL's bathroom.
Pink winged - your DS is lovely, probably all the girl who cut it is good for is using the clippers set on no 1.
DS is going back to Uni today:( . I'll miss him a lot, even though he's been out with his mates every night since he got home. Not long till he's back for Christmas though.
So tonight will bring a check of his room to make sure he's not left anything festering for me to find in a weeks time:eek: . Then I must clean the front room and vac throughout and clean the porch. We've got the architect coming round to finalise the plans for our extension tomorrow which is exciting.
I must also meal plan around my veg box, I'll be looking on the recipes thread I think.0 -
Hi All
Haven't posted on here before but enjoy reading the thread, some of you do make me laugh. For those that don't seem to sleep how do you manage to keep going and doing all the things you do you are amazing. I know what it is like not getting the sleep you need and it makes me miserable.
For those going to Birthday parties have a lovely time and for those attending funerals big hugs.
The washing machine has just stopped and the sun has come out ( it has been dark and tipping it down most of the morning), mmm....is this to lull me into a false sense of security so that I hang the washing out only to attempt a record breaking sprint to get it all in again 10 minutes later, mmmm........may just check the weather forecast first.
Troo - I think it was you that posted about denby imperial blue, I started collecting this a few years ago and usually only pick a few pieces at a time, money permitting and of course co-inciding with the debenhams blue cross sale. However, if you are looking to get rid of yours have a look at e-bay as the denby imperial blue sells well. You will probably get enough for money for a new set of crockery.
Have a good day everyone

Hey everyone,
Hugs to everyone - particularly the people attending funerals, always difficult - but good to say "good-bye" I think. Some people I know are upset at the moment as a prominent figure in my community who died this week isn't allowing any kind of celebration of his life or memorial or anything which seems to be quite sad - people would like the chance to grieve and to talk about him.
I'm very tired today as I was looking after a friend's children last night - theydidn't come home until nearly 2am and walked in on me snoozing on the couch, very embarassing, but they didn't seem to mind too much.
My appointment at the midwife went well yesterday - she gave me my maternity exemption form, my Emma's Diary and a book called 'Ready, Steady, Baby' so I've lots of reading to do. She also said that I must be pregnant, after 5 + preg. tests - otherwise, I could probably sue the manufacturers! I am still so like 'if I'm pregnant' and can't quite get my head round that this amazing, wonderful, life-changing thing is happening to little ol' me! I will get my scan at the start of January, then I think I'll believe it because we'll be able to start telling people then - it's going to be so difficult to keep it secret especially around Christmas/New Year and all the booze on offer!
My OH is planning a night of relaxation for me tonight as its been a really busy few days. He is making the tea and will do a quick tidy round and let me put my feet up. I'll spend some time with my pets and maybe we will watch a film. We haven't had any of those difficult conversations yet about money/finances when the baby is born (money is already very tight so I am dreading it) but I don't think a Friday night is the best night to broach these subjects.
So not much O/S again to report today! I'm at work, is that any good? I do deserve to post on here honest! I'm am O/Sing all weekend - tidying, cleaning, gardening (with gloves on to miss all the cat faeces!) and just generally sorting out. I'll have to be inventive with meals this week too as we have £10 in the joint account for food to last all next week so I'll just be buying the basics. I seem to be drinking milk by the bucketload just now so I'll definitely need to stock up on this and some fruit then it'll be freezer dip time (why, oh why, don't I label anything?!)
Lots of love to you all and happy Friday!
