Morning everyone, morning Troo - hope you manage to get a wee bit more sleep...though I must admit I've been awake for a fair while now too. Edit to say morning to Amie399...lol at your daughter having to be quiet.

I'm all chuffed with myself - despite being v.tired yesterday evening I actually managed to sort out my big mess of a kitchen. As well as being nice and tidy it has been Stardropsed and Zofloraed and is smelling very sweet now. Long may it last, I am notoriously untidy... I will give my bedroom the similar treatment at some point over the weekend.

The Debenhams sale was v.good, however I was in one of those "oh I cannot be bothered with this" moods and left without buying anything. There will be another sale another day, and really at the moment there isn't much that I actually need. One of my "wants" at the moment is to replace my dinner service - I have a collection of Denby Imperial Blue, but have seriously gone off it - I am just not a blue type of person. It'll go on Freecycle one day, but in the meantime I'll keep my eyes peeled for something v.gorgeous but v.economical to replace it. There is 25% off most of the entire Denby range at the moment and while some of the other designs are v.nice I fancy something a little bit different.

That's my life - not too exciting at the minute, which is great! Someone asked me the other day - think it was Churchmouse, and possibly Shez too if I am feeling happier. The answer is YES!! The last job really was stressing me and dragging me down, and it is a fantastic release to be rid of it. I still can't sleep properly, but things are definitely much better now.

Penny Pincher - congratulations on getting the essay done, I don't know where you get your strength and determination from - well done you!

VickyA - I guess it's congratulations for you too though I guess your situation is rather bittersweet. I think you are doing the right thing to get away from that school, and you will in time find yourself a more supportive environment. As for going travelling instead of getting a mortgage - that sounds like an utterly fantastic idea - you will never ever regret seeing the world.

    Have a fabulous day everyone.

  • Morning Troo, amie399 and everyone :hello:

Need to get a wriggle on as lots to do today but not feeling that motivated :(
Only working half a day as I too am off to a funeral this afternoon.

Tried to give blood last night but got turned away again :(, made me feel bad, low iron yet when I went to the doctor last time he said it wasn't 'that' low. Being taking vitamins with iron for ages now but looks like it has made no difference. Was really upset.

Well need to visit MR T tonight, but I think that OH is paying :D
Right off to move the cat off the bed so I can make it, have a quick shower, brekkie and then off to w###

Hope you all have a great day, :grouphug: to all

Vicky A - Glad that you have made a plan for your future you sound a lot happier :D

    Have fun and keep smiling

    Morning All

I'm up at 4am everyday for work! Finished at 8 o'clock last night after 5.30am start. Got a double shift today so I'll have to pace myself, but at least today I'm being paid to work extra!!!

Planning on lots of sleep tomorrow as it's my only chance as I work on Sunday too. I love 6 day weeks.

Our Christmas cake is now made and we've got to spend the next month pouring brandy over it:beer:

Really struggling today, so I'm going to say over and out

    Good morning everyone!

We had a good day in France shopping yesterday, managed to get a few more Christmas presents done. We were very surprised that there were so few shoppers there, it was the same in Colchester last Saturday. Do you think it's because of the warm weather, that people haven't realised Christmas is coming? Normally the shops are really busy in November. Perhaps there'll be a big rush come December. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - I'd much rather not be in crowds of people! .....just a bit surprised really.

Anyway, off to home ed. group today, then this afternoon DS has a computer lesson with my sister, who is an IT specialist in a local school. (It's not what you know... it's who you know!) She's been teaching me, too. I have finally found out how to make a spreadsheet that will work out how much I need to put by each month for different bills, and show me what's left when I take some money out. Well, she showed me how to do it - and now it's made. I don't know if I would be able to repeat the process! But at least I can say I did it.

    Have a good day, all!

    Good morning everyone,

Well, bad mum alert here this morning, ive just gotton up to a very unhappy DS as the tooth fairy forgot him last night:eek: It completely slipped my mind (mind you, after watching im a celeb last night, the funniest thing i have seen in ages, i have a kind of excuse!!!) Ive said she mustve been busy, and will prob come tonight instead. I am feeling dreadful tho, i didnt realise he still believed that much!!!!
Never mind, off to start the day, 2 little ones here today, and i dont think either of them will have a sleep, so that means a busy day but its Friday so thats good news.
Right, better make the packed lunches, might put something nice in for DS to make up for my incompitence (sp) last night:o

Hope everyone has a lovely day
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  • Morning all!

Wish I'd watched I'm a Celebrity now after reading catowen's post. Have to get my mum to fill me in.

Anyway, had a lovely day with my mum yesterday, who knows how to say all the right things when I'm feeling down. (Car just cost another £190 - that's £400 in a fortnight).

My dad surprised OH with a lovely new jacket last night. DS1 spied it immediately and somehow seems to have declared it on indefinite loan. Poor hubby. So glad we had boys instead of girls.

Gonna run DS1 to work, take DS2 to parents for an hour and then whizz through the house ready for the weekend to commence! Love Fridays.

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend.
