Hi Sue,
This thread should help you with the sprouting seeds: sprouting seeds**to eat**
Pink0 -
afternoon all
hugs to those that need them.
it's all go at my house. I rent with 3 other people, and we have been doing battle with out letting agents for the last year or so over our bathroom ceiling.
It's been going mouldy and holes starting to appear. They said there was nothing wrong with it, or the flat roof (bathroom is in extension on back of house). Part of the bathroom ceiling fell down on monday, and it appears the whole ceiling and the whole outside roof needs replacing now!
Moral of the tale-listen to your tenents and things can be sorted before the whole thing needs major work done!
am not looking forward to attempting to shower in a bathroom open to the skies. I suppose i could save on water and only wash when it rains
ah well. Off to BFs tonight for veggie and quorn stirfry and noodles. and a glass of wine is needed i think0 -
Afternoon all :j
Just about to stick a load in the wash, and then start with dinner - HM sausage and onion plait tonight (well kind off - I'm using ready rolled pastry).
Must make everyone's lunches tonight, as I've slept in the past 2 mornings and I can tell you it's been one manic rush  I want to be prepared
Looking forward to the weekend, work is getting in the way at the moment IYKWIM

Hi, Sue! We never get near the sprouting seeds from our boxes - DD eats them straight from the tub :T They're great in salad, and in sarnies, too.
When did you last try a sprout? I didn't like them as a child, as in those days, they needed to be boiled for at least 3 weeks before they were edible:eek: I cook them quickly now, leave a bit of crunch, and love them. Try Gingham's thread here.
Loubee, I'm not laughing, honest!!
Hi, Shez, good to have you back, hun. I did try to PM you before you went, but your box was full. Clear some space, and let me know!
Survived the TV crew here. The piece was fun to do, and I got to make pasta on TV! They've promised that if Delia hangs up her apron, I'm next to get my own cookery show!
I'm doing a presentation to year 10 tomorrow afternoon, and was planning to finish my presentation tomorrow morning (content is all there - just needs titivating). My boss has rung to say that my colleague who was doing tomorrow morning is ill, so can I be to school for 9am  Course I can! It's my day off, but I'll get such huuuuuuge brownie points.
I've also made banana and choc chip muffins - delicious. Much better than my attempts at banana bread to use mashy bananas.

Hiya again
So much for best laid plans etc etc.....
5 mins after my last post, my mum rang up to say she'd had a fall and couldn't get up. It had taken her 45 mins to get 3 feet to the phone!! SO, mad dash over there to sort her out, which involved me staying most of the day. She's OK but her arthritis is so bad that if she does fall, she hasn't the strength or movement in her hands and arms to pull herself up (given her leg is completely seized too)
So, managed a quick trip round Mr T's to pick up enough to tide us ver for a couple of days, then on to the school run. Tea has had to be a chicken tonight sauce (my only "naughty" food) so I'm just waiting for the rice and veg to finish now.
So, tonight will me mainly spent trying to do what I needed to do today - mainly work related things. Still waiting for the freecyclers to collect my oven and hob, too.
Hope everyone has a good evening

:j :j DD has had a look at the necklaces and pendants on the site and has seen a couple that she loves.
Told her it was just to get ideas of the kind of thing she likes so not to get too excited.
Guess who has just ordered something - cannot go into detail but very pleased!
The site is offering jewellery such as a necklace for £13 with a box and free delivery - the shop price is £24! Other online sites charge £17 and postage so "I 'm a good little moneysaver"
even if I have been spending!:j"This site is addictive!"

Evening All
Waiting for mum t turn up so we can fetch her cat back from the vets
Just had dinner - savoury mince with mash potato
Went to town after school to fetch DD new glasses, plus I had to get her birthday cards for her 7th birthday tomorrow.
Very tired today, eyes kept closing at work, and was getting frustrated with myself for the slightest smallest mistake I kept making.
Anyway peeps, just heard a car pull up, no doubt its Mother, catch up with you all later
