Morning Everyone - hope you are all well
Was a little late in getting up this morning, mad rush, but managed it.
OH just taken kids to school 4 me.
Mum has just fetched her cat, she has got to have some teeth out! Bless her. (the cat - not me mum) lol, the cat stays with me, as mum lives in a private flat which doesnt allow pets.
My car started 1st time this morning. Hope it stays like that now. Still annoyed with work for doing the work without my consent. Dont think there is much I can do about it now. Other than Learn from it I guess!
Honestly DLB, Im not copying you - but we're having shepherd's pie for our dinner later, should have had it last night, but DD had a friend round, so we had something quick n easy.
Got to go town straight after school run later, DD new glasses are ready to collect.
Must go and jump in the shower now
Have a good everyone

Hello chaps and chapesses :hello:
Kids off to school with neighbour so I'm back in bed with lappy, cuppa, paper and LK today on the telly :j :j (Who said I can't multi-task :rotfl:)
Have an assignment to finish for a client this morning, several e mails to send re the business then I need to go into town. I have cheques to put into the back and I need to do some food shopping. Might just pop into Debenhams whilst I'm there
BM has been on, DW ready to switch on and WM will be filled shortly. My old oven and hob are being freecycled today so must put the oven shelves and grill pan back in. Used my new oven yesterday - a vast improvement, but I'll do some baking this weekend and really test it
Ok, ((hugs)) all round. Must read the headlines and then jump in the shower and get on.

Morning all!
Bit grey here today but surprisingly mild. Had to drop OH car off to mechanic at 6am this morning as handbrake gone and back brakes playing up. Second time in a fortnight we've needed work doing. And MOT is in 3 weeks.
Mum just phoned to say she's coming down to cheer me up. Good tea and tittle-tattle.
House looks lovely cos darling OH helped me do it through a couple of days ago and it's still clean. Miracles will never cease!
Gonna get WM going, put on the breadmaker for pizza treat later, buff up the kitchen and bake a batch of lunch box buns - then I'm already to have a guilt free day with mum putting the world to rights.AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE £115.93/ £250

Word
I'm going back home today, so back to the OS routine (I'm quite glad really - it's nice to go away but it's even nicer to come home! :T )
OH said the flat is spotless after he cleaned it yesterday - ok, so he went out and bought very expensive cleaning chemicals to do it instead of using the stardrops and vinegar under the sink but hey ho, at least he did it. One step at a time I guess - have to stop him wiping the counters down with kitchen roll first!
Going into town now to do a little bit of Xmas shopping (and going to Debenhams), then I'll drive home and see what needs doing there. Definantly have to go food shopping - the cupboards were bare when I left a week ago, and OH's been home since, so heaven knows what he's been eating - the cupboards probably :rotfl:
Have a good day :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning all :hello: haven't been around all week due to outside forces and the need to get a bit organised, managed to get myself a job this week
so life will be a bit more hectic from next week.
Have been up since the crack of dawn (well nearly) and have a huge pot of chilli simmering in the slow cooker now, have written some Christmas cards and am about to jump in the shower before making a pot of soup for tomorrow's starter for a dinner I'm giving for some friends, then must get down to the cleaning, the house is a tip
Breakfast: crumpets
Lunch: soup and a bagel
Dinner: chilli
have a good day everyone, many :grouphug: to those who are in need.

Hi All :j
Forgot to post on this thread yesterday
I love this thread because it reminds me that I'm not the only one going through all the crap that life throws at you (and the good stuff too)
OH told me that he went to the cash point yesterday and he's just realised he's right up to his overdraft limit! He doesn't get paid for 2 1/2 weeks so he's right in the dog poo now. He hasn't even got the money to travel back to us after his shifts finish. It would have helped if he'd bothered to check his bank account but he hasn't looked at it for more than 6 weeks  Money is going to be a nightmare for the next couple of months hence the reason I am on here so often! lol
Got some stuff on Ebay today but so far I've only had bids on 2 items, so I'd like all good vibes from fellow OSers please!
Hugs to all of you that are having a tough time at the moment. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Morning all xx
I have only got tidying planned today. I have been into school and spoken to one of the teachers and we are trying to move in a forwards like direction with the son's of Satan.. they are both being horrendous at home and at shcool and anywhere in between and everyone is at a loss so we are chasing for outside support. I'm seeing him again at pick up time so we shall see where we are going hopefully.
I have a basket full of washing to tackle too and some stuff to list on ebay.. if I get round to it.
I am absolutely shattered today so after a snooze at some point.. I might put the littlie to bed and join her!!
Grey and gloomy and wet here today.. not good for the mood.

Morning everybody :hello:
Wet and miserable here today! Still, as long as I'm stuck in the office, what do I care?
Darn it, I spotted the ads for the Debenhams sale but can't go as I've got a Freecycler coming round this evening to pick up my old bedside lamp and a big box of crockery. I'm pleased I managed to get shot of the crockery to a good home, as I suppose you could say it was Freecycled to me in the first place. It was the remains of a humungous dinner-service belonging to my dad's girlfriend, which she gave me when I moved into my last place, a house in which there were 3 of us sharing and only 2 dinner-plates :rotfl: I still don't own anything else - have been using housemate's crockery for the past 4 years - but have had an offer from somebody at church of a Muji dinner-service, and as I know what Muji stuff's like and I also know that the person in question has excellent taste, it's got to be nicer than the one I've got!
Hope I might have a bit of energy left over this evening as last night I was knackered and didn't get anything done! I can't carry on like this because I'm very busy over the weekend with non-moving-related stuff so I HAVE to make the most of the next 2 evenings. Also need to get my home contents insurance sorted for after I move. I have a policy set up and waiting to be activated.
Also need to see if I find a charity who might want to pick up my wardrobe, as nobody on Freecycle seems to be interested, and the local council will only collect stuff if you leave it outside for them which isn't really possible with the wardrobe as it's too bulky and heavy for me and housemate to get it down the stairs!
Lunch: sausage, mash & peas
Dinner: no idea. I don't really have time to cook properly - might see if I can pick up a decent quality ready meal  maybe one of those steamable ones. I have set aside a bit of money as a "retaining my sanity while moving house" fund, which is primarily intended for this purpose!
((((hugs)))) to anybody who needs them
